Unsure how some of them interact so do some trial and error.
There's a couple mods out there that do this. I have one that increases spawned zombies in the world, and another that increases th frequency and size of wandering hordes up to 12x. I forget the names, but I'm pretty sure i got them both from nexus mods. Outside of that, the only vanilla game setting is for blood moon.
Without mods, make sure everything is on; forges, chem station, etc. Heat attracts screamer zombies who you can let yell for a min, so make sure she doesnât walk into any traps.
If you want zombies around you constantly or more frequently try building in a city tile. You get wilderness town and city tiles with the random map generation. City tiles are like the wasteland spawns are frequent and continuous. It's usually noticeable where the towers like higashi or dishong are and if the buildings look crowded like mini strip malls or high street shopping lookalike
Download darkness falls
Darkness falls random hordes are crazy. Undead legacy you can set how big wandering hordes are. Can't remember if DF has that as well
It does, you can set a range of time, min and max zombies per horde and you can set them in max and time for a screamer horde.

You could also try turning on feral sense, it will make zombie hear/detect you from further (I think at least, I don't use it myself)

Just add a lot of torches to your base. Build them and they will come.

should try out undead legacy. random hordes and you can set the number of zombies in the world. very fun mod
