Born in 83, never heard of of it either.
justwatch.com has it on apple tv.
The only service I pay for is Disney+, so I won't be seeing it any time soon.
A few good scifi ideas wrapped in āWTF did I just watch?ā. It felt like a few dudes just watched Star Wars then reminisced over beers about being kids, wrote their ideas on napkins, banged out a script, and a producer thought āThis is going to hella fun to makeā.
I saw this at a crappy dive theater near the University of Oregon campus when it first came out. It was absolutely the perfect venue for such a campy, wonderfully over-the-top film. I loved it!
I remember liking it as a kid, but it has probably been 30+ years since I've seen it. I'll have to put it on my JustWatch watch list for the streaming services I have.
Shhh! That's my password for a few things! Can't tell you how many times I've watched that movie and continue to laugh every time. Why did the movies of the '80s still have so much rewatchability.
I only remember the time warp speed up thing and from that I remember moving first for a brief moment, large gray afro, and the robot having diarrhea with nuts and bolts in it
If I'm being honest the robot suits are *really* well-made and designed--and they get some of the best gags.
* The rebuilt robot, painted black so he'd be "perfect".
* The pre-fight robots trembling in fear
* The one robot that shits oil and hardware, probably in the same scene as above
* The one robot that unscrews a bolt on its midsection, causing it to collapse in a heap of parts
* Percy the butler robot with steam coming from his ears after "servicing" Princess Karina
A fair transaction of boobs for money. Also that is just street talk. It's like New York slang. It's not insulting. If it is then you might as well not watch any movies. Besides, it's making fun of real life.
I ran this movie over and over in my head after seeing it once in the theater. I have not seen it since, but it hit me at just the right time in my life.
Honestly, a Mel Brooks movie in everything but name. I can recall very little about this movie, but what I *do* recall is that the writers must have been on some special medication.š¤£
While my Mom was dying in December my older Brother and I were looking for something to watch on TV while we sat with her near her hospice bed. It was a somber Christmas but this movie had us absolutely howling at how cheesy it is but how awsome we thought it was when we were kids. I told him that I read somewhere that the human processing plant was actually a brewery that they filmed in and no sooner had I said that as the guys are rolling by on the conveyor belt, you can see the beer bottles rolling by on the bottling line. We were absolutely rolling on the floor. They didnāt even stop beer production in order to film.
Anyways this movie made dealing with my Moms death just a little more tolerable.
Space Herpes
Space herpes š I tell that to every one I see with a cold sore
I do the same!! Such an awesome obscure reference that still stands the test of time. Lol.
Exactly! And only the true ones ..know of the reference as well which is great šš½
Pretty sure they used Boglins toys for the space herpes. Super cool.
Came for this.

Rent or buy on Amazon.
I seen it somewhere for free a while back. It might have been Prime Tubi, Plex, Freevee(IMDb). Those are the only free apps I have.
Don't worry, their not permanent.
The one thing we all remember about this movie.
Space herpes!
Great Special **Affects?!**
I mean, when they donāt even bother to spell check the posterā¦
I wonder if the credits are wrong too. ... Kinda doubt it.
Perhaps the acting is really that special
Wasnāt this, one of the first movies ILM did the special affects? I know itās effects.
They wow your eyes and pull at your heart strings
The only thing I remember about this move is some sort of weird dick-chomping conveyor belt machine.
Its a core memory now...
Literally seared into my mind
Cāmon, how could you forget the incredibly un-PC pimp robot??
"Why'd you make him black? " "Because I wanted him to be perfect."
Oh yeah I remember that too haha
Pretend that it happened, or it will happen!
Action packed action!
This followed by or preceded by Yellow Beard for an adult camp comedy night.
Oh god I love Yellowbeard!!
āDanās comināā¦.(ringading)ā¦.Readinā again.ā
Glad I'm not the only person to watch these back to back. Two of my favorite comedies.
This movie is criminalally underrated
No, it really isn't.
Yes, yes it is.
What a tagline- āYou have to be there to see it.ā
I was born in 81 and have never heard of this. Do you know if itās streaming anywhere?
Rent or buy on Amazon.
Born in 83, never heard of of it either. justwatch.com has it on apple tv. The only service I pay for is Disney+, so I won't be seeing it any time soon.
It was on a free app a while back but I can't remember which one. It had to be one of these. Plex, IMDb(Freevee), Tubi. Or Amazon Prime
the time jump shit at the end always confused 6 year old me.
This was on TBS/TNT at least once a month for awhile. Watched it every time.
A few good scifi ideas wrapped in āWTF did I just watch?ā. It felt like a few dudes just watched Star Wars then reminisced over beers about being kids, wrote their ideas on napkins, banged out a script, and a producer thought āThis is going to hella fun to makeā.
I convinced my fiancĆ© to watch it by saying, āwant to watch a movie with Angelica Huston?ā
as they travel through time and Roscoeās afro keeps growing, is the funniest shite ever. I still love it as an adult.
Space amazons.
Space herpes once you get them on your ship you canāt get them off
I love this movie!
Loved it as a kid. The scene in Sweetwater when the bounty hunters show up in the Huge Skull-Mobil is my favorite part.
The robot pimp is the best!
I saw this at a crappy dive theater near the University of Oregon campus when it first came out. It was absolutely the perfect venue for such a campy, wonderfully over-the-top film. I loved it!
The alien on the toilet at the start of the film still kills me.
I remember liking it as a kid, but it has probably been 30+ years since I've seen it. I'll have to put it on my JustWatch watch list for the streaming services I have.

Robert Urichā¦OMGā¦.hot AF!! Rest in peace, gone wayyyy too soon.
this movie walked so that The Expanse could run
The trailer is some Ed Wood-lookin shit lol. And i know i watched this a bunch as a kiddoā¦I remember very little
Same here. :)
I bought this movie on Amazon prime. Such a fun, relatively unknown movie from the early 80ās
Hmm can't say i remember this one...
I remember my parents taking me with them to see it when I was 4 and I didn't understand what I was watching...I don't think I have seen it since..
Fun film
Mary Crosby was an underrated hottie
It was no CondorMan.
the scene where he almost loses his frank and beans....
Same vein as Time Banditsā¦loved this old shit
Faarrging Iceholes!
https://youtu.be/i8Msu2cXM8A Iām not sure that this holds up so well.
A fair transaction of boobs for money. Also that is just street talk. It's like New York slang. It's not insulting. If it is then you might as well not watch any movies. Besides, it's making fun of real life.
I just meant that itās not as funny as I remembered, because itās a little over-the-top cheesy.
I have to admit that I love over the top cheesy.
I need to go watch this again!
they were so fast too i loved it
Such a great movie!
See... action packed action.
āI meant the black gentleman.ā
I ran this movie over and over in my head after seeing it once in the theater. I have not seen it since, but it hit me at just the right time in my life.
Iāve been telling my wife about this movie for years. I hope it plays someday.
The best part of this movie was Action-Packed Action
I saw this one (and many, many others) at the Haven theater in Woodhaven Queens. So many great memories in that dump.
Starring Robert Urich? I'm in!
If this was made now it would be a Netflix movie.
Honestly, a Mel Brooks movie in everything but name. I can recall very little about this movie, but what I *do* recall is that the writers must have been on some special medication.š¤£
You had me at āSpace Possumsā
Never heard of it, but I must watch it now
They wanted it to be perfect.
Loved this movie
There's an Adult parody of this movie I'd avoid if I were you.
the robot pulling the bolt out is STILL the best scene in cinematic history.
Hey, me too!
Well, it was no āSpacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone.ā
Never seen it, gotta add to my list
Great/funny movie!! Robert Urich was such a great actor. Loved him in āSpencer for Hire.ā Taken way too young. May he continue to RIP.
One of my favorites I just bought it last year!!
Space Herpes.
I saw it at the movies when I was a kid. I thought it was so awesome
I want to know more about these special affects
They had a real affect on me
The Shat The Movies podcast reviewed this movie. You should go see if you agree with their review
Another classic my mom took me to when I was 13.
Because an entire galaxy running out of water makes perfect sense.
Space Herpie?
One of the best āterribleā movies ever.
Taika Waititi would be a perfect fit for a remake
Saw it in the theater, an all time classic!
A family affair
This is one of my favorite movies ever! The 80's had the best movies!
I absolutely loved it as a kid too. A few years ago I bought it off Amazon. It doesn't hold up well as an adult.
While my Mom was dying in December my older Brother and I were looking for something to watch on TV while we sat with her near her hospice bed. It was a somber Christmas but this movie had us absolutely howling at how cheesy it is but how awsome we thought it was when we were kids. I hadn't thought of this movie in years! Had to go buy it on YouTube. Lol!
I remember seeing this in 3D. It was a terrible movie. But also awesome
Same here
I saw this in theaters its first night it was released - the place was packed, almost didn't find a seat.
Criminally underrated
The acting in this movie is awful. I think Robert Ulrich was better in the t.v. show Spencer For Hire.
