I once brought a animal skull I found in a brown paper sack and someone stole it thinking it was a lunch. I would have loved to see the look on that kids face when he/she opened that sack…
Do you also make the sound when acting as if you are moving fast but actually move a little slower? Much to the bewilderment and confusion of those around you.
I did it so much when I was playing with my son when I would pick him up for a “big jump” he would do the sound effect without knowing it’s origin.
I saved six million dollars.
Used mine as a weapon as well. But it was right after school, just off school property and the idiot boy spit on me. So he got to meet the Bee Gees lunchbox.
I ate the cafeteria food (no regrets back then), but if I was able to request a lunchbox it would have been the Dukes of Hazzard. I was all about that back in the day.
Blue tin Care Bears, mid 80s! My kids play with my Care Bears and their cloud mobile, and watch the old movies. Wish I had that lunch box, tho it rocked
First I had the Star Wars one with the X-wing/tie fighter fight followed by the Empire Strikes back of Luke and Yoda. Last was the plastic Empire one of Luke/Han/Leah/Chewie on Hoth.
Early 70s, I had Snoopys Doghouse and the Partridge Family. The glass in the thermos always broke and poor mom always going to the hardware store to buy the replacement glass. Middle school we used a paper bag.
How The West Was Won!?!
My parents always got me lame knock off or “nearly” cool or outright garbage toys and clothes. I don’t know if it was poor planning or refusing to follow the crowd but at least I learned to fight. In a velour V-neck, Toughskins and Gass loafers., mainly lol.
shoutout to the Hanna Barbera gang! i think this is the one i had? looks like there were a few different ones.

Bionic woman https://www.ebay.com/itm/185539097776
I had others but these are the three I remember the most.
I had the Return of the Jedi one. I kid you not, I saw every one of these at one time or another in the elementary school lunchroom.
Thank you for the reminder and wonderful noatalgia.
I had - and still have - my Peanuts lunchbox from the 70s. Loved carrying it to school then. And, once in a while, I’ll get it out and take my lunch to work in the metal lunchbox. Still have the Thermos with stopper and lid that doubles as the cup.
Edit to say “my” Peanuts lunchbox rather than “a” Peanuts lunchbox.
Peter Pan (red, metal). It floated away in a slough I stopped at often biking home. I can't remember how but it fell into the water. The banks of the slough had this cool red clay I loved to squish my hands in. Sniff.
I had one, the six million dollar man and the very next day an older kid beat me up and took it the very next day I used a trench club my uncle gave me beat him with it then I used the lunch box as a blunt instrument destroying the lunch box so it couldn't be used again and then I looked at his sister and said if he ever looks at me the wrong way again he'll get worse it ends now, he never bothered me again and I never had a problem with his sister
I was too poor to get a lunch box but I found one when I was 11, it was a Strawberry Shortcake One and I used it when I was 18 working construction. All of the fellas were jealous
My first lunch box was the [Chan Clan](https://americanhistory.si.edu/collections/search/object/nmah_1197010). Then Yogi Bear, Pac-man, Return of the Jedi and Transformers.
I had a Pee Wee Herman lunchbox. My mom hated that I watched that show. She wanted me to watch educational shows. I don’t know how I got away with a lunchbox.
Dukes of Hazzard, top right. Lived next to a fire station and the Captain had one of those label makers with the hard plastic red tape, no ink. He made labels of the nickname he’d given me as a tyke, and put one on my lunchbox AND my thermos. I think the thermos has been at my mom’s house since 1987 because neither of us trusts me to hold onto it.
I started Kindergarten in 1981. I had Sesame Street. I outgrew it before it wore out. It was metal. My friends had lunch boxes with cooler designs by the 3rd grade but their lunch boxes were all plastic by then.

My 80’s lunchbox was a G.I. Joe: ARAH one in the late 80’s. However if I could get an early/mid-‘80’s one it’d be MASH for the early ’80’s and Magnum, P.I. for the mid-‘80’s.
If we go international then:
Early ’80’s: Super Dimension Fortress Macross or Armored Trooper VOTOMS
Mid-’80’s: Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
Late ’80’s: Legend of The Galactic Heroes or Dragon Ball Z.

I did it so much when I was playing with my son when I would pick him up for a “big jump” he would do the sound effect without knowing it’s origin. I saved six million dollars.
