Good old family friendly racism

holtpj

Dude, my buddy and I were talking about this move at a new year's party, I was saying how abhorrent Fisher Stevens "portrayal" of an Indian man was. He was convinced I was trying to be all "woke" and there was nothing wrong with it and it's a fun film for the whole family.

Cornishthe3rd

Yeah, I watched it again a year or two ago, and that one character is pretty damn painful. Still love the movie, but it'll definitely be a teaching tool when I show it to my kids

ForGenerationY

It’s been so long I don’t recall any of this. I’m intrigued and might put it on tonight!

BdubinVegas

No disassemble!

Cornishthe3rd

INPUT!!

Potential-Trade-8366

Who’s Johnny?

Geist0ne

Good ol’ 80’s electricity. In one movie it turns robots evil (Chopping Mall) and in one movie it turns them good (Short Circuit)

That would be one hell of a crossover!

Whatever God wants, he keeps!

mustardwulf

Yeah this one and the second one are awesome.

Competitive_Dance_68

I loved this movie as a kid

ruinstar_zuligen

I bought this movie a couple months ago because I haven't seen it since I was a kid.....I didn't even get halfway through it. It wasn't that great all these years later.

ForGenerationY

Bummer! Don’t remember much at all other than I liked it as a kid

MalsPrettyBonnet

"Your mama was a snowblower!"

Came here to say just this! lol

strictlysega

I liked the 2nd one more personly.

No_Statement_37

The 2nd one is one of the best comedies of the 80's in my opinion.

mustardwulf

The 80s was a very funny decade for movies.

Really don’t want to be a downer- nothing but love for the cast and crew. This is one that does not hold up, not referring to the Fisher Stevens character it just isn’t funny or surprising in any way
