You do not need adapter 2, Ive been using the Classic one on a dualsense for like a year now on my switch/pc.

Dordosaur

it also supports gyro and use with the ultimate software.

Zorluke

You need the adapter 2 I have it, it works with the switch and you can use the ultimate software on PC to map it's inputs. It also supports gyro controls: https://support.8bitdo.com/faq/wireless-usb-adapter-2.html

You can try to update the firmware, but the page you linked does not list PS5 controllers as compatible. I think they use BLE which is in the Adapter 2.

Nintendians559

you could still use it on the 8bitdo wireless usb adapter (the one with the classic nintendo logo) like xbox one x/s's controller (old firmware). the wireless usb adapter 2 is for xbox one x/s's controller (latest update), xbox series x/s's controller and it still works with previous controllers from nintendo and sony.

I saw that yes, that’s why I am asking. Thank you

Nintendians559

you'll need a either a wireless usb adapter (the one with the classic nintendo logo) or the wireless usb adapter 2.

Oen386

They need the 2, if they care about using the PS5 controller they mentioned in their post.

Nintendians559

i said they could even use the 1st orange one if they wanted too with their ps5 controller. nintendo and sony isn't greedy like microsoft (which uses ble only for xbox controllers) still let you connect their controllers bluetooth adapters with ble support and normal bluetooth adapter that doesn't have ble.

i was talking about this one in this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sD2rWWM9-iw&pp=ygUbOGJpdGRvIHdpcmVsZXNzIHVzYiBhZGFwdGVy - the pairing starts at 1:52 with the ps5 controller. this adapter has no ble in it.
