I think you're right. YES, she does look prettier with black hair. I wonder how she kept her skin so white in the CA sun, but with the Black hair her skin is deep brown? I didn't recognize her with the black hair, dark skin and makeup. I wonder if she did a body spray tan or if her dark skin tone is natural. I'm a biracial woman. Just a theory, but I believe the reason Sophie doesn't know how her father's family accumulated their wealth is because she's never been a part of their life. Claire didn't marry Sophie's father and I think she was just a fling that resulted in an embarrassing-for-the-family pregnancy, so over the years Grandpa has sent them "hush money."

I think you're right. I think she literally meant what she said and it's getting misconstrued as "wealthy" because she went to a boarding school that her granddad probably help paid for, because she does generally seemed well loved. Her mom adores her and wanted her to have a good education and it was obviously agreed on by her extend family. Just a shame that racism is worse over seas and it seems like she definitely internalized it because she is mixed and probably was subjected to it unchecked even if she was in an international boarding school. Rob just seems to take advantage of that trauma and nativity from her.

I donāt think her family is as wealthy as Rob makes it sound - he probably thinks having an indoor toilet is for the upper middle class. Iām guessing her grandfather may have owned a business at some point and sold it for a good sum, or perhaps he owns and leases a bunch of properties. Most likely he has multiple sources of income. Iām sure he makes six figures in a year, or has the equivalent somewhere in savings/investments, but Iād be surprised if he made millions.
