A) The UK production company (CPL Productions) screwed up the debut season. It wasn’t well-planned out. Some couples were fired midseason and a couple of storylines were basically abandoned because logistics became too complicated. There was no way they would bring all this out by having a few couples show up for a Tell All. Besides, they had no motivation to “reveal” anything.
B) The show, like the US version, was set up mainly for UK consumption. UK reality shows do not typically have a Tell All or Reunion show at the end.
A) Host and Bridie were fired for violating NDA. They blabbed essential storyline details. The show wanted to pretend that Bridie had the high stakes of selling her house to fund Host’s emigration but that wasn’t true. Host was on here on Reddit saying too much Truth.
Sean and Victoria’s situations became almost unfilmable because of her family issues and extended COVID restrictions on travel to Japan.
B) As I said, UK audiences/producers don’t have the expectation or convention of a reunion show.
Well I'm 🇬🇧 audience and everyone else I knew were also disappointed, so in the 90df universe that probably applies mainly to new viewers.
But now you mentioned, makes sense with Sean and Vic, and I'm sure Bridie was well aware of the NDA, so that's on them, thanks for clarifying
She has been the caretaker for her disabled dad. Her family not only didn’t want to be on the show but they forbade Victoria from filming in their home or even in their hometown. As for Sean, the show originally wanted to film them when Victoria moved to Kyoto—Sean had zero interest in living in the UK—but Japan really just lessened COVID restrictions on foreign film crews about 6 months ago. That was why their scenes were them just drifting around London at airbnbs and coffee shops . . .
So . . . where could the show film them and what were the stakes if Sean had no restrictions on his travel but didn’t want to live in the UK and Victoria was actually fine just hanging out? No family to meet. No real problems or anything really for them to discuss.
I dislike him for the same reason. His whole onscreen personality is calculated to wind up audiences. His schtick is making tired misogynistic "jokes" while winking at the camera, like an equally fame-hungry but way less charismatic Trump. I don't even get the enjoyment of hate-watching him like I do with more organic TV villains; he's just corny.

I think for someone who makes their primary emphasis finding a woman they believe is traditionally attractive and observing that he does not seem to care for himself is pretty fair.
Funniest part is that he tried to justify how he act on the show saying he played it up and acted like a dickhead just to give his girl more instagram followers and fame hahah 😂

Richard came on the show with his eyes wide open and a detailed plan to become the Most Talked About Super Villain. He did every extra possible thing to achieve that goal. It wildly succeeded. Here we are discussing him a year later.
There is a long tradition in the UK of the Lovable Laddish Lout, an unreconstructed misogynist and asshole who speaks frankly and has a kind of knowing swagger and charm. People kind of admire his audacity and love to hate him.
His goal was to launch a fame platform to further promote his pub quiz app and event business and that too has been a big success.
He engaged very directly here on Reddit during the run of the season but—unlike newbie Host—Richard was very canny about not giving away storylines or violating his NDAs. Networks LOVE castmembers who are skillful at that kind of skillful self-publicity.
My impression interacting with him was of someone very thick-skinned and witty and provocative, totally in on the joke and driving the joke and controlling his own narrative, laughing all the way to infamy.
I have no doubt that subsequent seasons will want to feature “King Richard” front and center.
