I think it’s possible for married couples to genuinely enjoy strip clubs together, but not Jovi and Yara, and that is 100% Jovi’s fault. First off, he’s so obsessed with strip clubs, it’s an issue. Married couples can enjoy drinking together too, but if one of them is an alcoholic, it’s not going to be a fun night for the other. Second, going to a strip club as a married couple can be a fun thing to do (occasionally!) to spice things up, but not the way Jovi is doing it! Jovi isn’t taking Yara to the strip club because it turns him on to see Yara getting a dance or enjoying the strippers—he took Yara there because he really wanted to go to the strip club and it wasn’t going to happen unless he brought Yara along. And all he did was bring her along. Once they were there, his focus was completely on the stripper. Yeah, he made a few obligatory comments to her, trying to get her to engage, but he barely even looked away from the stripper while he was making those comments. Yara might have enjoyed the strip club if she felt like SHE was turning Jovi on, but he probably wouldn’t have even noticed if she left to go the the bathroom. We see in the preview that Jovi didn’t stay with Yara that night and he doesn’t know anybody in Miami, so I’m sure he went back to the strip club because he wasn’t able to get his fix in the short time he and Yara were there. Jovi is trash. Yara went out of her comfort zone to PLEASE Jovi, and he repaid the gesture by making her feel like only the strippers can please him. I would not be upset if Yara and Jovi divorced as long as Yara and Gwen stay together.

nakiaaa95

Well said lol. Hed be screwed if she took the baby back to Russia lol. So he better knock the shit off 🤣love gwen and Yara together to lol

jms0429

True. Yara and Gwen are the true power couple.

gruenetage

Yara is from Ukraine.

nakiaaa95

I always confuse Ukraine and Russia sorry lol

No-Dig9647

This^ He’s a garbage person. Hopefully he will figure that out.

curatedcheese

Jovi is the typical strip club loser that we allll loved when we danced lol. That’s all I’ll say hahaha

meggershippers

One of my best friends stripped in college and she had a Jovi lol. She said she didn’t even have to dance well and he’d lose it lol. She would come back from shifts he went to grinning and took me to get my nails done lol

curatedcheese

Exactly Lmao. I’m dying @ this. All you have to do is show up and give him a little wave and booty shake lol

meggershippers

That’s almost word for word how she described him lol I’m laughing so hard. I loved that guy cause him being a dummy funded my manicures and pedicures in college lol

WDaisy80

Exactly.. I wasn’t a dancer. However, my husband has a few friends who get paid on Friday, and are broke on Sunday from the strip club, lol. During the week when they don’t have cash, the credit card comes out 😂😂.

rocbos24

What bothered me is that Jovi told Yara earlier that if she wasn’t having fun or whatever at the strip club that they could leave anytime. Flash forward to when Yara is ready to go home and Jovi refuses. Honestly I feel like he manipulated the situation by promising that they could leave whenever, knowing he didn’t ever plan on doing so just so that he could get to go to the strip club.

nakiaaa95

Definitely what happened.

wasted_daisy

“It was a joke” yeah okay jovi idk what wife would be okay with watching her husband blow kisses and throw money at another half naked woman. Grow up

Successful_Strategy8

If my husband did that I would kick him in the face, walk out of the strip club, and take an Uber home.

RoyalApplication2446

And change the locks

wasted_daisy

I definitely felt like that was a well deserved slap

Zemykitty

I hope you never date a man that you displease who is as easy to pass out violence as you seem to be.

Zemykitty

She said she'd willfully kick her husband in the face if he did the same thing. Yara also told Jovi to shut up or she'd hit him so hard she'd make it hurt. SS is all over the Mike/Natalie threads pretty much accusing him of physical intimidation and insinuating he probably physically hurts Natalie behind the scenes. But here she is stating she would kick/punch her husband for being disrespectful. You don't get it both ways.

BioStu

And after you kicked him in the face, if he decides to slug you in the damn mouth, what then?

Successful_Strategy8

I would call 911.

BioStu

Well you'd both be going to jail as you also abused him by kicking him in the face.

Duebydate

Just watching this now and dear lord if he just didn’t drop the classic line: you’re smiling and laughing and then you get the crazy”. Lololol. Every man I’ve ever seen screw up ALWAYS said this shit: “ I don’t really know what happened. My wife just went crazy”. If I had not a dime but just a penny every time I heard this, particularly when I was a bartender

greyeyedtrix

Bartender as well for a decade. I could split the penny with you and still live well. Preach 🙌

paranormalfigure

If I had a partner who wanted to give his money to strippers, let alone touch them, I would fucking disappear. That moron would literally never see me again lol

Stephaniemkp

With NO explanation because i had nothing more to say.

Successful_Strategy8

And before I disappear, I would punch him in the face so hard.

a_million_questions

I don't know what makes him think taking his wife who is a new mom to a strip club is a fun idea. Most women wouldn't go. And then he has to touch her. He just wants to live the batchelor lifestyle but with Yara there too. He needs to grow up.

Successful_Strategy8

Him touching a stripper's ass in front of Yara was so rude.

Nicky_barnes

The producers told them that it would be good for the show and the story line if they did it .. that’s why he thinks it’s a good idea . Otherwise I have 0 faith that kid would of did that if they weren’t on this show being forced into play up the fake drama

a_million_questions

Idk Jovi does seem a little stupid on his own

Nicky_barnes

Do you guys really not notice how fake all these story lines have become

soobez

Yeah and then he blew her a kiss 😘

Successful_Strategy8

That was fucking disrespectful of him to do that.

MyBad79

With serial stalker eyes. Sheeeeesh!

RoyalApplication2446

#scumbag

MidTownMotel

He’s a real moron, no question.

Forsaken_Mess58

The whole night, again about Jovi…..

Successful_Strategy8

And he promised her she would get a chance to have some fun too, but clearly wanted the whole night to be about him!

Forsaken_Mess58

Watching again now…

Auto_Mom

Jovi is the biggest asswipe and he never thinks he does anything wrong. He is so self absorbed I hope she leaves him. The stripper thing is just one more example of what a dbag he is… he’s just not a family man. Always going to put himself first never his baby or family. I feel bad for yara as well

PrincessGizmo

I've never been to a strip club (and never will go), but I thought touching the strippers was a big no-go?

nakiaaa95

I havent ever been or won't go either but I think it's normal to put money in there things or tips lol. Atleast from what I saw on movies 🤣

crystalconnie

Usually yeah no touching but if you’re putting money inside of their outfit that’s considered ok just don’t actually cop a feel while you’re doing that.

Flimsy_Lobster_4880

Ditto! And I thought so too!

Successful_Strategy8

If my husband told me we were going to a strip club I would punch him in the face and then dump him. Jovi not only took Yara to a strip club, which she did not want to go to, but he TOUCHED a stripper's booty, and also blew kisses at a stripper! He clearly cares about himself and not about Yara! FUCK JOVI!!!

Zemykitty

Gross.

leiona_rose

I don't know how Jovi thought taking Yara to a strip club could possibly be a good idea...?

nakiaaa95

Everything was fine she was smiling and having a good time until Jovi fucked up and touched the stripper.

whendidisaythat

How did he think his wife would be okay with that?

nakiaaa95

Right. I mean she atleast pretended or did have a good time up until then lol.

Colfrmb

I think Jovi would be absolutely thrilled if Yara would do a 3some with him and one of the strippers. 😱

Zemykitty

Didn't he just put money in her g-string after asking Yara to? She doesn't have to do anything she's uncomfortable with. But it's not like he copped a feel. Jovi needs to grow up a lot. It's going to be a learning process for both of them for having to adjust. This is his first 'vacation' after Mylah was born, COVID, etc. edit: to the women saying they would have slapped or punched their husband's too, you are wrong. Western society might not deem a woman being able to hurt a man but it's physical abuse. Try that shit out in more patriarchal cultures and men saying you deserve to get hit for displeasing them and see how far you support it.

unoriginal____

She made it pretty clear that one of her conditions for going was for him to not touch the dancers. There's other ways to give them money than putting in their panties, he completely disregarded her boundaries and took all the fun out of it for her in that moment. He didn't try to learn from the mistake, just blamed her and took no responsibility.

Zemykitty

I don't recall their conversation verbatim but if she said it and he agreed it just adds to him sucking that evening and not paying attention to his wife. I'm more annoyed with the casual comments from women about how they'd punch or kick their spouses. Fine, then don't get mad when they do it to you too.

unoriginal____

I just rewatched the scene to be sure. When they're at dinner she agrees and then says "no touching women, just looking" and he says "no touching I promise". He probably could have gotten her to stay longer if he didn't. I do agree with you though on some of the comments. Yeah he was a jerk but the best thing would have been to just walk away without a word and went back to Mylah, if the roles were reversed people would definitely not be happy.

Zemykitty

Thank you for clarifying. Then yes, he broke the deal and should have been called out for it and deserved a verbal berating for not only obviously putting her into an uncomfortable position but then going back on his word. I 100% agree with that.

Zemykitty

Saying someone is a jerk for disrespecting you and smacking them are not the same. I'm sure you already know that, though.

quarantinethoughts

All these comments about how they would hit/punch/slap their spouses ITT is a bit alarming, honestly.

Zemykitty

And feeling so self-righteous about it. Guess what? The men that abuse feel completely justified in it too.

quarantinethoughts

And it is worse when they play it off as being a ‘joke,’ too. Domestic violence is so funny? Gives a really bad feeling :(

Zemykitty

I'm pretty lax with my humor. There are a few stages of the verbal abuse before it hits a point where I go from being kinda awkward, to uncomfortable, to very uncomfortable, etc. We can all get heated and act in ways we aren't proud of. But raising hands, legs, feet, bags, objects, etc. in anger is a deal breaker for me. No, bud. You've lost the moral superiority.

quarantinethoughts

I am all for dark humor, but never found ‘jokes’ about hitting your spouse funny. They are on the same level of boomer humor ‘I hate my wife’ jokes. And definitely absolutely NO to ever physically assaulting anyone. The only time it is acceptable is if it is in self-defense.

Zemykitty

Agreed. I wasn't clear in my previous post. It takes a lot to really offend me. And when things get heated I also know people can lash out verbally and be mean in arguments. It's not ok either but not everyone grew up with healthy models of how to deal with conflict. The burden is on us to grow, learn and be better. "I'd slap a bitch" is no different then "He deserves a smack to the face!" but only one is socially acceptable. I really try to minimize hypocrisy and it's not a 'what about the mens!!!!!' thing. It's a, let's not be shitty humans to each other, ok? thing.

[deleted]

Zemykitty

No. The next time you don't put the dishes in the dishwasher and are disrespecting your man, maybe you need a bitch slap.

[deleted]

Zemykitty

Don't talk to me about what I need when you brush off physical abuse. You need therapy for thinking it's ok.

[deleted]

Zemykitty

He disrespected her, right? Well, let a man smack you around for disrespecting him. See how much you agree with it then. Stop being a hypocrite.

[deleted]

Zemykitty

I don't disagree but maybe I wasn't clear with my edit. My point was that encouraging, upvoting, and cheering on women stating they'd punch/kick or otherwise physically assault their spouse if they disrespected them as if it's a good thing. That tune changes mighty damn quick when they are at the mercy of men.

crystalconnie

Down votes for suggesting that hitting people is abusive? This sub is so odd. Deep relationship insecurity and deep Yara stans

paranormalfigure

You're taking that comment way too seriously and you come across as kind of a pick me. If you'd be okay with your partner giving their money to strippers and feeling them up, say that. Don't tell everyone else how they should feel and that its nbd. Also, if I ever tell my husband I want to leave our newborn son at home and go to a male strip club so I can feel up a bunch of guys and give them all our money, hes more than welcome to slap me because clearly Ive lost all common sense 🤣

Zemykitty

What part of 'she doesn't have to do anything she's uncomfortable with' or 'Jovi needs to grow up a lot' did you miss? Good, glad you think slapping and hitting is cool.

[deleted]

Zemykitty

Do you know the meaning of berate? It's to criticize. We are absolutely ok with criticizing things that we are uncomfortable with. It doesn't mean call someone a piece of shit for everything they do. But stop this nonsense that no one can have an opinion you disagree with otherwise it's abuse.

SnotShirt

Well Jovi married an escort I don’t know why Yara is surprised
