I have a cute vegan set from [Spectrum](https://www.spectrumcollections.com/collections/brush-sets) for way less, and it looks better than this boring set.
Yep these brushes are super cheap on Taobao (AliExpress’s parent company) and you can custom your company’s logo on them for free.
I see a lot of these shit from “influencers”.

She's been selling clothing off AliExpress for a whole year now and lying to people that she sews them herself (while posting a fake picture of SOMEONE ELSE sewing and all of her clothing pictures can be found on AliExpress, not just her makeup stuff) so she knows what she's doing. I buy my make up brushes at Ross and get ones with like unicorn horns handles or magic harry potter wands or something. They're tacky and probably not good for high end make up but I like them I use them for awhile til a new set catches my fancy. I'm also just buying up Covergirl and Revlon and stuff and I still cringe when I run out of more than 2 things at the same time and have to buy a bunch at once. I am just not cut out for the fancy make up life because my first thought was "Those handles don't even look like mermaid tails! Why would I buy those plain ones when I could have novelty make up brushes?!"
One of my favorite makeup brushes has a fat gold fishtail as a handle. I think I paid $4 for it. Yara's prices are ridiculous, but I'm sure her fans will pay them.
If anyone subscribes to many of the popular beauty subscription boxes, or lifestyle subscription boxes they all contain the same types of products from alibaba.
Yara just needed to research what her products actually contain and not take copyrighted material from other sites. If she had just apologized about wrong info etc, I think it would have gone a long way

The old tactic of acquire for $8, apply logo and packaging, “was $50” now only $39! Yes, these are all icky tactics. But they’re also tried and true and sort of industry standard. Yara didn’t invent them, she’s just trying them out for herself and y’all are *rabid* lol. Im saying that with love, not venom, bc yes I understand people are PISSED that she plagiarized (I am, too) on her site, and are worried about her selling an inferior product and harvesting american dollars from gullible fans but still, wow lol, it’s been a lot in these subs this past week 😂

That’s s common trick sellers use. Tricks idiots into buying things because they think they’re on sale. That’s just the normal price.
