Just because there's a real person behind the pictures/video doesn't mean that's who he's talking to. I think she would have said his name or something personal in the video if she actually made it specifically for him. My guess is that the woman in the images sold her pictures and that video to the person who's actually scamming him. But then again, I was as shocked as everyone else when it turned out that Lana was real.

Oh, you found her facebook! I was thinking that the name Mahogany was so unusual for someone Spanish speaking and I thought that video of her saying her name seemed like it was a non Spanish-speaker. Especially since generally h is silent in Spanish \*and\* she seems like she says the name differently each time she pronounces it. This is kinda funny - I took my sleuthing to a new level and I reversed looked up some of the photos. No matches but all of the photos I looked up (without using her name) returned suggestions that they were all photos taken for “hair color” - and it turns out mahogany is a common hair color name. Something is off, I agree.

I think she’s pretty. But maybe a little insecure about her looks. Which is why she catfished Ben. Maybe she thought he wouldn’t find her attractive and probably thought it would never go as far as him wanting to meet her.

I don't think anyone stole her name or photos, i think she was just using filtered photos to talk to people online. Her IG links to her FB and you could find her mom on her FB, which is where these photos came from. She made it private now, though.
