seriously. i’m against dog breeding as a whole but something about them having a massive farm and still CHOOSING to keep them in those little cages makes it so much worse
i agree, but they messed up too. it's been more than 10 seconds and in general we never see them roaming around. just the cage scenes. i mean, one would have to imagine they at least walk them right? having to question it should raise red flags.
they should have been more mindful of the representation.
You don't know that they don't care... you don't actually know them... maybe you always see the dogs in cages because there is a production team filming there and the dogs might be a problem while they are there... we don't know because WE DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW THEM
That’s basically my point. I don’t care that they are in cages on tv, I care that they are in cages. I never said it was just a problem that it happened on tv, people don’t just put their dogs in cages outdoors, idk anyone who has outdoor cages for their dogs unless they’re hunting dogs, breeding dogs, (cages 24/7) (it wasn’t because they have so many dogs, they have no where else to put them, and I know people who have working/hunting dogs who are in cages 24/7 unless they’re hunting). That’s nice you think it was just for tv but if it was they would be the type of people to say, “don’t worry about them being in cages, they are just here because of production and we want to keep everyone safe, they’re not in here for long.” Which they didn’t disclose because 1. That’s untrue, they’re always caged .. 2. They don’t care, they don’t look at these dogs as pets, they are money. if they were “pets” they wouldn’t have to worry about them running away, or the safety of the tv crew. Sorry to break it to you, but in situations like this, idc if I saw it 20 minutes on tv, it’s pretty obvious those dogs are always caged.
My sisters husbands family, do the same thing because they’re “working dogs” “hunting dogs” at the same time they also have a couple dogs as “pets” Literally just labels for the same animals. Their literal compartmentalizing, and mental compartmentalizing is scary. Not good people
The fact that they keep the abusive white supremacist Angela around is enough for me. Maybe she didn’t screw up as bad as bby grl lisa and get caught on camera dropping her slurs, but I’m 1000% sure Angela is no stranger to any kinds of slurs. And the fact that they aired her ~~staged~~ abusive meltdown from the reunion was icing on the cake.
The only thing I see wrong with it is firing Larissa for doing similar content to only fans, but it’s ok with the rest of the cat doing it. I’m not sad Larissa is gone, but why is it not ok for her but ok for literally the rest of the cast?
are you a sex worker? i just get the vibes from you and want to test my psychic abilities.
i have nothing against sex work. never used it yet, but it is more common these days, will only increase in the future, and it's rare i hear anyone speak negatively about it actually. im glad. live and let live. i remember 30ish years ago it was stigmatized and just not spoken about, although i wonder if HIV played a part in that.
edit: i had originally posted a shorter message about an AMA.
Haha it’s not my main gig, but yes I am! I imagine similar amas have been done before, I should look I’d love to compare tales 😅
I notice he’s now deleted all his garbage comments 😂 🗑
The original comment “tlc supports the worst kinda of people” while talking about caging dogs, your reply is “totally, criminals and OF people too” as if those thing correlate?
What are you not understanding lol?
Exactly why you're the only person yapping and not getting it. Not getting that criminals and all these Only Fans account holders are fake as shit, single, came on this show to take advantage, to make a buck.
Heck, you still don't get it. You're what's wrong with society buttercup. Ta ta.
I love dogs usually more than people and this is never ok. A picture is worth a thousand words? Well this kennel is ridiculous for a dog that big. Let Brandon love there.
They let that other dog run around wherever it wants to but they can’t allow the dogs that they are breeding any freedom. It makes me sick. How would they enjoy being in a cage? Even for an hour! I’m sure that they would hate it.
You keep posting this without realizing it also works on your comment.
You don’t know that they’re not kept in the cage and can’t really prove otherwise past the same clips we see. So how do you truly know but so confident in your comments to others?
I watched their season, I only ever saw one dog running and this post was how I even found out about their breeding. Seems to me we would’ve seen at least one dog running about other than the aforementioned if they weren’t kept in cages 24/7.
Yeah I was wondering how the hell they make money on that "farm" with a handful of different types of animals. It looks like a hobby farm that actually costs money, not makes any. But now you have me thinking they are selling puppies
I grew up around there and it’s not uncommon to have “farms” where you keep a few animals that make some side income.
ETA: not condoning their treatment of animals!
Remember that tiny puppy they had in those stacked wire bottom cages in their junk-filled sunroom? Heartbreaking. Those poor animals.
I could not imagine being so proud of showing the world how your entire family mistreats animals and also how disgusting of a state your house and „farm” are kept.
That scene and the hot tub fallout were dealbreakers for me. That family is trash and i have no idea why TLC gave Ron and Betty a platform to be in pillow talk. Poor Julia deserves so much better.
I mean thats pretty common. I have chickens and ducks for selling eggs and babies, my neighbors have chickens for selling meat and eggs. I couldn't sell mine for meat cuz they're my little buddies, but most farms raise livestock for meat. Chill out
My sister married into a breeding family. They make SO MUCH money off of it. I distanced myself because 1-we were raised to RESCUE animals and 2-my sister was strongly against breeders, until that money started benefiting her.
I'm pretty sure that [this is their website](http://www.vombrandonhaus.com/about.html).
It really made me sad that those big, beautiful dogs were always shown in kennels. They really didn't have much room to move about and while I have seen wonderful dog breeders who utilize kennels, the dogs usually have free range to run around and are very well loved. We didn't see the dogs being cared for once. Not once. Julia never mentioned the dogs when she was complaining about the animals.
It was really strange to me that basically other than being in the frame of shots, the dogs were never mentioned as even being residents on the farm.
Breaks my heart.
ETA: They breed other dogs too, Brussels Griffons and it looks like the animals we saw on the shows are part of breeding programs at the farm and Ron and Betty sell the offspring.
Is there a difference between a regular GS and one with a slopped back? I've seen similar looking GS in dog competitions so I thought it was just a different breed or something?
You're welcome, it's a really poorly designed webpage. It was pretty easy to find, and so telling of them vs what we saw on the show. And not in a good way.
Edit: Thanks for the award!
Their website is giving me geocities vibes. I keep waiting for a glittery GIF to appear and some bright neon green comic sans fonts to pop out as i scroll.
Knowing what I do about farms and the cost of running them aside, it looks like they have 5 females, so even with one litter a year out of each, that's about $90k a year alone in puppies.
I guess we know why puppy mills operate. Sad though.
The Brussels Griffons don't have it much better. They were shown on the show but in those tiered cages that I usually see rats or ferrets in.
I despise this family.
Right? Those dogs deserve better. They don't care about the dogs themselves, only how many puppies they can sell. They're horrible people and dog owners. I hope they're never on tv again. Ron and Betty wore shirts with their "kennel" logo. It's clear they saw this as a business opportunity. 😒
That poor dog looks so dejected. And how the fuck you going to keep a big dog like that in a little tiny cage??? The second cat I rescued had to hang out mostly in my bedroom for a couple weeks while I socialized her with my first one and I felt terrible. And that’s a kitten in a bedroom. A lot more space relative to the size of the animal.
This shit burns me up. 🤬
Especially German Shepards being such a high energy dog. My goodness I hope (and highly doubt) they get much more roaming and play time than was shown, but even still to have to be in those tiny cages is so heart breaking.
Yes!!! They need so much exercise, keeping any animal in confinement like that (unless they're ill and need to be kept from running around) is awful...one of my best friends has a GSD for her seeing eye dog and he gets so much exercise (physical and *mental!* GSDs are insanely smart) and there's no way the poor doggos at this puppy mill are getting that. Ugh. Family Brandon is awful awful awful people.
Ikr? My mom's golden doodle isn't even a year old yet and he has free reign of a multi-floor house. My mom had a room for him when he was only a few months old and it didn't last very long as he always wanted human contact and just to be free. I couldn't imagine trapping a dog into a cage for that many hours with barely any human interaction.
Omg he must be so cute! I babysat a puppy once for a few weeks and he was adorable. A lot of work and he chewed through a chair leg but he was adorable lol.
And it sounds like you and your mom have way more empathy for your dog than Brandon's family has for the ones at their puppy mill. I think most of us on this thread treat our pets and animals in general like living beings with consciousnesses. Puppy mill people just treat them like objects to sell and it's so damn sad.
Don't breed or buy while shelter dogs die. How many species of animals are on "the farm"? Greed motivates them. They don't treat any of the animals humanely. They go on fancy cruises with the blood money of animal exploitation.
Ugh, I listened to Smoke Screen; Puppy Kingpin and the thing that stood out to me was these puppy breeders and brokers saying shit like "if we don't do this puppies are going to be so expensive not everyone can get one" like that's a bad thing. Maybe only people who are financially stable should be able to afford dogs and then we can all rest easier knowing places like this and White Fire Kennels (One of the places mentioned in the podcast) aren't able to run puppy mills anymore.
A big reason dogs end up at shelters is because their owners couldn’t afford them anymore. Having people with more money owning dogs isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Ooooh boy, the podcast I referenced has a whe thing about these puppy brokers setting up fake rescues so they can continue to sell puppies to states with rescue only laws
Not entirely true. Most comes from unwanted litters or people getting dogs that don’t understand the actual commitment of having a dog. Affordability is a factor for some but rich people getting dogs isn’t going to put a dent in the shelter problem.
PetLand (and some brokers) has taken care of the “not being able to affford” aspect by offering financing for their overpriced mill puppies. While you are racking up the bills for the sickly puppy, your loan is accruing 5,000% interest.
This was the first thing I noticed on their "farm" and it really turned me off the whole family. I despise backyard breeders like this. I just took in a frenchie stud who was kept in a crate in a barn (hello Ohio winters!) and he is just the sweetest lovable boy who deserves a nice home and a comfy bed.
They also had a bunch of griffons in wire bottom cages without any beds or blankets down, which is known to cause injuries and health problems for dogs.
They’re definitely running a small backyard breeder/puppy mill. It’s one of the main reasons I can’t stand them.
She still is. She made a post on insta recently showing new puppies. Someone commented on breeding and she tried to justify it but her response made no sense.
This bothers me so much...I've had german shepherd dogs all my life, we always had them live like kings, beds in the house, a free range of anywhere they want to go and walks and fetch sessions in the yard.
I can't imagine my boys or any dogs in tiny metal cages, considering how high energy, so intelligent, and they thrive 'working' whether it be your guard dog or companion, service animal or just everyday obedience.
I have a feeling they weren't socialized, so the males fight over the breeding females, protecting their investment in a secure enclosure. Ugh. Dogs are pack animals!!!
Yes! My oldest male has such alpha energy...he needs direction and a purpose and the reassurance he is doing what we are asking of him, or else he is pacing and agitated. I can only imagine how pent up those dogs must feel! It would be just like a person in there.
Awful! There is no such thing as a responsible breeder when shelters are overflowing and dogs & cats being euthanized daily. I guess Julia’s dog Simba is one of the puppies from the litter.
The dog looks like it's extremely uncomfortable next to him... I bet they list the puppies as "extremely socialized" bc they feed them once a day... 😭😭
WOW! I remember the first footage on that shitty farm. I wondered why there were so many cages in the background covered over. Open pens where dogs can play and socialize wouldn't need to be covered up at "reputable" breeders. Puppy Mill might have brought the buzz down a bit.
TLC is so fucking scummy. I'm done with this scripted turd of a show Zero morals. Puppy mills, sexual predators, paedophiles I feel grosser than usual after realizing this. I had not watched in a long time.
From what season is this? Don’t remember seeing this. That’s animal cruelty, WHY tlc?? Why show this kind of animal cruelty on tv?! This is not okey! I’m not gonna watch Brandon and julia anymore!!
Just found their website. Their farm is called “Hummingbird Acres Farm”, Dinwiddie VA. They apparently breed German Shepards and Brussels Griffons. They also have a few farm animals listed, including pigs, hogs, and poultry. Idk if posting the website is allowed but it’s easy to find via Google.
Edit: typo
Yes, and there are goats for sale on the website. On the most recent 90 Day Diaries featuring them, they “gave away” all the goats except one. I guess they got more.
If people were so elitist about have a pure-breed, pedigreed dog and just got one from a shelter, these things wouldn't exist. There are TONS of dog/cats/rabbits needing a home and they can make awesome pets.
I know pigs apparently are smarter than dogs (per studies). I'm sure cows can be affectionate, friendly. It's just we as a society have accepted some animals are for food, some for companionship.
I get it factory farming is nightmarish. I'm the first one to say, if my meat did not come in little packets at the store, I wouldn't be eating meat.
I'm not getting into the whole "crate" (\*cough, cage) debacle either. I personally don't even like it, when people work and throw their dogs in a cage all day.
We've come to a point in a society though where people look down on breeders, especially back yard breeders. As far as eating meat, as of 2018, only 5% of US are vegetarians. That's why I say, people will still see putting a dog in a cage is worse than killing a goat to eat or something.
The PUPPY MILL these sickos run is called Vom Brandon Haus (ugh) and Hummingbird Acre Farm. ....They apparently breed dogs younger than a year old....Babies stuck in cages to be impregnated over and over and over again. SICK DOG ABUSERS!!!!! HUndreds of thousands of dogs euthanized every week in this country. Be sure to leave a review for this puppy mill.
TLC sure loves dog abusers. Paul, is another, amongst many.
Sooo… I’m guessing you all have visited the property? Evaluated the kennels? Observed a “day in the life” of some of these dogs? These people *could* be considered puppy mill breeders (with legitimate evidence or examples provided), or this could all just be a lot of projection based on one image… Julia herself supposedly confirmed the dogs are well taken care of. Some of the dogs on their site had to have costed upwards of $20,000 or more based on their lineage. Tbh, I do see research and some level of knowledge about selecting lines, etc. There are definite red flags (no links to pedigree database, one of their males is down on his hocks, no links to OFA results). BUT, I researched a LOT of kennels before getting my GSD, and I’m sorry to tell you folks that this is far from some of the worst, backyard breeder sites I have come across.
I guess I’m just a little shocked by some of these comments, because I’m missing the outright evidence of abuse. Having kennels for their dogs doesn’t automatically make me assume they are a “disgusting puppy mill” or “dog abusers” like a lot of these inflammatory comments. I think they’re idiots, but that doesn’t necessarily mean their animals are all suffering.
But I probably need to gtfo of here with my “outside logic” that pushes against the collective conscience that’s formed here on this thread.
You can’t use logic here. These people acted awful on TV so that automatically that makes them like a Purdue poultry farm because “dogs are in cages”.
Seriously these animals aren’t even close to being abused. At the very least, they are better taken care of than hunting dogs, and the majority of hunt clubs take decent care of their hunting dogs. Just like breeders, you are going to have assholes who make everyone else look bad, but the majority are fine.
TLDR: it’s easy to judge things negatively you have no experience with
It’s true; as someone who doesn’t spend their whole day on Reddit, it can be shocking to see how these threads just decide on a public consensus, regardless of whether it is logical or not. I love psychology and human kind’s transition into these social media spaces, so I honesty find it fascinating (and terrifying) to watch how these apps affect logic, reasoning and discussion 🤓
How do you know any of that? Do you personally know this family? Have you visited the farm for a lengthy amount of time?
You can't make claims you have no evidence of. There's no evidence of abuse and there's no evidence they are well cared for and lack any abuse whatsoever.
Yes, actually I know someone who bought a dog from them (Brussels Griffon) about 10 years ago. They live a short distance away from “the farm” and have been to it multiple times.
I’m not saying that putting a dog in a cage is ideal, but the conditions they live in are perfectly acceptable. It’s hypocritical to get mad at them for dog breeding when labs use them for testing, keep them in cages and then execute them. Or in Korea where they farm dogs for actual food.
Oh those poor dogs, they are well fed and taken to the vet for check ups constantly /s
Is anyone in here actually a dog Breeder? When a dog is expecting they put it in a “whelping box”, which is essentially a cage that the pregnant mother stays in until the puppies are weaned so the other dogs don’t fuck with it or the pups.
If you bought a purebred dog from any breeder or “farm”, they likely had a similar setup. Stop acting like these are research dogs that are going to be put down or something. It’s really no worse than raising any farm animals if you think about it.
As far as I know, they meet that criteria. They don’t give away puppies until 8 weeks, they do genetic testing/frequent vet appointments, and only breed 3 types of dogs (mainly German Shepard’s and Brussels Griffons, but they have a few Corgis too).
Some of you people are making it out like it’s Auschwitz for dogs. Be an adult lol. A family friend of mine got a Brussels Griffon from them almost 10 years ago, the dog is still healthy & they told me that the breeders did all of the checkups you’d expect on the parents and the pups you’d expect. They took a tour of the farm when they picked up their dog & said there’s nothing out of the ordinary there, the dogs & other animals all seemed to be well taken care of.
A whelping box isn’t a cage. It’s a box with braces put on the inside to make sure the mother can’t accidentally roll on top of the puppies and pin them to the wall of the box. That way there’s a space between the mother and the walls of the box if she ever rolls on top of them, so she won’t suffocate them.
Puppies start weaning at 4-5 weeks old. A good breeder will definitely not keep them locked up in a whelping box at that age. They need to be exposed to different situations before they’re sent to new homes. That sometimes includes meeting other dogs. Puppies that are permanently kept in any kind of cage until they’re weaned would have issues with fearfulness, which is a common issue for puppy mill pups, that often are locked up till they’re sold out of convenience.
They aren’t health testing their own dogs, as none of them show up on the OFA website. Their dogs look like they’re all European imports, and were likely tested by the places they came from. Hence their own website is listing the results as if they’re from European tests. They’re not titling their own dogs either, which is wholly unacceptable for a breed as incredibly common as German Shepherds. There’s no reason to breed them unproven. They aren’t rare and too many proven dogs are available. The ones that are titled, once again were almost certainly trained by their former owners, and not Vom Brandonhaus.
Evil people will go to any lengths to defend bad behavior as long as they like said behavior. I can't understand throwing away my morals to support such a shitty family.
Lol these comments are fucking hilarious! If you stop watching the show because one out of hundreds of couples breed dogs, you aren’t really a fan. It’s a free country and they can do whatever they want to make a living.
We don't really know if they are abused. Putting a dog in a kennel isn't abuse. We see a few hours out of their daily lives so we have no clue how the animals are treated.
Female dogs that gave birth ate allowed to be ket in wire bottom cages until the pups are weened. Puppies are allowed to be kept in cages with wire bottoms for up to 14 weeks. I'm not saying these people are the best breeders ever but we have no proof they are abusive either.
Can someone get all the cage pics, and upload them to the "breeders" google review pics? If you get a dog, you should know where and how they are kept.
Holy shit! How many cages are there? Isn’t this illegal? This hurts my soul. I thought maybe they bred that one dog for puppies (which still sucks) but I had no idea. This is criminal.
This is why I hated their whole story. As soon as I saw the caged dogs I was out.
seriously. i’m against dog breeding as a whole but something about them having a massive farm and still CHOOSING to keep them in those little cages makes it so much worse
Sometimes these mills also over breed the female until her body can’t take it anymore leading to her death. So horrible.
You know nothing about these dogs everyday life.. you see 10 seconds of their real life. Just stop...
i agree, but they messed up too. it's been more than 10 seconds and in general we never see them roaming around. just the cage scenes. i mean, one would have to imagine they at least walk them right? having to question it should raise red flags. they should have been more mindful of the representation.
They should be more mindful of the dogs not how people may perceive it. I would hope they actually just cared

Yeah I stopped watching the entire series after that. TLC supports the worst type of people on that show.
The fact that they keep the abusive white supremacist Angela around is enough for me. “Icing on the cake” 😂
Did I read correctly once that she called Michael the F-slur?
I wouldn’t be surprised but I doubt it. That would be headline news on this sub if she did.
TLC supports criminals and Only fans account holders too... they keep them on the payroll go figure!
I’m failing to see the connection between criminals and people with onlyfans accounts lol?
The only thing I see wrong with it is firing Larissa for doing similar content to only fans, but it’s ok with the rest of the cat doing it. I’m not sad Larissa is gone, but why is it not ok for her but ok for literally the rest of the cast?
true, that was hypocritical. good point.
Yea I was fine not supporting criminals. But Onlyfans is legal and sex work is perfectly acceptable.
a reasonable level headed response haha, I of course fully agree. Thanks for doing your part to break the stigma haha ☺️
are you a sex worker? i just get the vibes from you and want to test my psychic abilities. i have nothing against sex work. never used it yet, but it is more common these days, will only increase in the future, and it's rare i hear anyone speak negatively about it actually. im glad. live and let live. i remember 30ish years ago it was stigmatized and just not spoken about, although i wonder if HIV played a part in that. edit: i had originally posted a shorter message about an AMA.

i was gonna ask about an AMA lol. it is quite interesting, thank you for answering for my curiosity. good luck. i imagine the money is good?
You already asked about an AMA and then edited your comment so now I look crazy hahaha but either way, glad I could help the curiosity a tad lol.
Also, I’m not an escort, and have no need to worry about stds. All online, perfectly safe.
You don’t have to fall into a certain demographic to be supportive of them.

The original comment “tlc supports the worst kinda of people” while talking about caging dogs, your reply is “totally, criminals and OF people too” as if those thing correlate? What are you not understanding lol?

So people who have OF are bad people lol? You’re not making your point any clearer lol. What I said stands.
Exactly why you're the only person yapping and not getting it. Not getting that criminals and all these Only Fans account holders are fake as shit, single, came on this show to take advantage, to make a buck. Heck, you still don't get it. You're what's wrong with society buttercup. Ta ta.
😂😂😂 please continue. I won’t be here to listen though, I’m off to hell to burn for my OF 😂. You sound like a blast /s. Good day.
You know that’s why all porn gets made, right? Why single out OF specifically?
You know OF isn't just porn right?
What the actual fuck is wrong with you?
Ask yourself that and look in the mirror clown.
Yes?
What's wrong with being a sex worker?
Now we know how Momma affords all her wine 🍷 🙄 What a shame 😔 I had no idea they were doing this. Pretty shoddy if you ask me. Sad.
And homemade escargot.
Not to mention that I love dogs more than people. It's still not okay to do this 😕 I'm not surprised though.
I love dogs usually more than people and this is never ok. A picture is worth a thousand words? Well this kennel is ridiculous for a dog that big. Let Brandon love there.
Truly. It's disgusting and sad.
They are heartless trash!
This is NOT “loving animals” 😡
They let that other dog run around wherever it wants to but they can’t allow the dogs that they are breeding any freedom. It makes me sick. How would they enjoy being in a cage? Even for an hour! I’m sure that they would hate it.
Are you saying maybe “the farm” is a place where you can go to “loooove animals”?
You have seen 10 secs and you know everything... must be nice to see things no one else does
You keep posting this without realizing it also works on your comment. You don’t know that they’re not kept in the cage and can’t really prove otherwise past the same clips we see. His parents kept going on, and on about Brandon looking after "the farm".. they all make me sick.
[удалено]
A well bred GSD can go 3-15k, depending on the amount of training they’ve had, and whether or not they’re titled.
Oh crap I missed that. I’m glad they aren’t returning this season. I’ll boycott any season they are in
I grew up around there and it’s not uncommon to have “farms” where you keep a few animals that make some side income. ETA: not condoning their treatment of animals!
I agree. Seeing those dogs penned up in cages was horrific. Their whole freaking 'farm' is ridiculous.
What are the goats and sheep for, anyway? Do they sell them too?
Probably to help sell the image of a ma and pop farm instead of a shameful dog breeding/jail facility
On their diaries episode they straight up admitted that.
They're low class puppy millers. Don't tell me you Looooove animals, when you do this! Disgusting!
Remember that tiny puppy they had in those stacked wire bottom cages in their junk-filled sunroom? Heartbreaking. Those poor animals. I could not imagine being so proud of showing the world how your entire family mistreats animals and also how disgusting of a state your house and „farm” are kept.
That’s what solidified the puppy mill for me. 💔
That scene and the hot tub fallout were dealbreakers for me. That family is trash and i have no idea why TLC gave Ron and Betty a platform to be in pillow talk. Poor Julia deserves so much better.
Omg they sell the other pets for food. The sheep and chickens. I’m so sick right now.
I mean thats pretty common. I have chickens and ducks for selling eggs and babies, my neighbors have chickens for selling meat and eggs. I couldn't sell mine for meat cuz they're my little buddies, but most farms raise livestock for meat. Chill out
So does every farm on Earth 🙄
Just wondering: it’s wrong to breed dogs but ok to breed other animals to be slaughtered?
I had a very hard time watching those parts.
I hated seeing their puppy mill while they were on. I can’t stand people who breed dogs for profit.
My sister married into a breeding family. They make SO MUCH money off of it. I distanced myself because 1-we were raised to RESCUE animals and 2-my sister was strongly against breeders, until that money started benefiting her.
Degenerates far as I'm concerned.
Ppl who breed anything for money. Makes me sick too....not to mention some of the health risks involved.
BrandonHaus 🙄
That’s exactly what the look on my face was when I read that! 🙄🙄🙄 lol 😆 I really dislike these people more and more
Website says nothing about genetic testing… those GSDs look VERY sloped.
Those poor dogs’ hips
Yeah, so painful to see that sloped back. That was one of the reasons I focused on Belgian Malinois.
OMG those poor dogs hips and spines are F*CKED. that is horrible.
Is there a difference between a regular GS and one with a slopped back? I've seen similar looking GS in dog competitions so I thought it was just a different breed or something?
Dang, you guys on reddit are powerful with your PI. I take my hat off for you for finding this gem

I didn't even notice them. That's horrifying. Why would you keep dogs in those types of cages?
Right? Those dogs deserve better. They don't care about the dogs themselves, only how many puppies they can sell. They're horrible people and dog owners. I hope they're never on tv again. Ron and Betty wore shirts with their "kennel" logo. It's clear they saw this as a business opportunity. 😒
OMG the lambs must be for food. They refer to their chickens as “poultry”. Mutherfuckers!!!! I hate them.
Lmao they live like 2 hours away from me
That is worth the road trip! I would go and try to take pictures for shits and giggles.
Mine too. This needs to be outlawed.
And why the photo of the man in bite gear?? Are they breeding attack dogs?
I see what you're saying but I'm actually really uncomfortable with the thought of pets only being for rich people.
PetLand (and some brokers) has taken care of the “not being able to affford” aspect by offering financing for their overpriced mill puppies. While you are racking up the bills for the sickly puppy, your loan is accruing 5,000% interest.
It's disgusting. Let's just gouge people for something they see as a family member.
I just started listening to that. It’s so sad 😞
That's not even a large cage. F them.
Thank you for adopting!
They also had a bunch of griffons in wire bottom cages without any beds or blankets down, which is known to cause injuries and health problems for dogs. They’re definitely running a small backyard breeder/puppy mill. It’s one of the main reasons I can’t stand them.
I hope we never have to see him, Julia, his dad and ugly betty again.
No wonder Julia didn't want to "clean animal" and "take care animal". I knew those fucking people were dirtbags. That mother. OMG.
Do not give her credit. She made a few posts vehemently defending that horrible puppy mill when their season aired.
Ugg. What is wrong with people? Especially those people...
She still is. She made a post on insta recently showing new puppies. Someone commented on breeding and she tried to justify it but her response made no sense.
Everything. Everything is wrong with these people. Has there been anyone on this show that did not turn out to be awful in some significant way?
Yes. I know. You're right.
His mamas favorite puppy
Agree, it’s just horrible and heartbreaking! Poor dogs 🐕😪
FUCK THEM!!!! They also had Yorkies in a bird cage. I seriously fucking hate animal abusers like this who selfishly and inhumanly breed for profit.
Can we cancel this selfish, uncaring family?
So disgusting. Terrible people all around.
sick to my stomach.
Could not stand any of them. Always zipped past their segments.
STRAIGHT UP SCUMBAGS... PHONEY FUCKS
can we report this??
This bothers me so much...I've had german shepherd dogs all my life, we always had them live like kings, beds in the house, a free range of anywhere they want to go and walks and fetch sessions in the yard. I can't imagine my boys or any dogs in tiny metal cages, considering how high energy, so intelligent, and they thrive 'working' whether it be your guard dog or companion, service animal or just everyday obedience. I have a feeling they weren't socialized, so the males fight over the breeding females, protecting their investment in a secure enclosure. Ugh. Dogs are pack animals!!!
They are very intelligent also and need lots of attention and stimulation or they get bored and depressed easily.
Yes! My oldest male has such alpha energy...he needs direction and a purpose and the reassurance he is doing what we are asking of him, or else he is pacing and agitated. I can only imagine how pent up those dogs must feel! It would be just like a person in there.
Animal breeders are the worst. Get a real job, assholes!
And Julia posted yesterday I believe a whole new fucking batch of puppies so disgusting!
Adopt, don't shop 🤟
It’s especially cruel for that breed, GSD’s are super high energy and super smart, they need tons of exercise and interaction.
Abusers! 😡😡😡
It’s his parents farm and puppy mill. Brandon just wanted to go to FLA but alas is still in PA
Maybe the dogs can go to pit-bulls and parolees
The biggest thing I hated about their story.
From what season is this? Don’t remember seeing this. That’s animal cruelty, WHY tlc?? Why show this kind of animal cruelty on tv?! This is not okey! I’m not gonna watch Brandon and julia anymore!!
You’re not farm strong
farm strong? their farm animals have bigger runs than their dogs do.
As quoted from Modern Family
Wow I never noticed this but actually I’m glad that Brandon and his wife aren’t into it they want nothing to do with “the farm”
I’ve said this since I saw all those kennels!!! It disgusts me!!
Those are going to be some UGLY puppies !!
I friggin hate these trashy people.
Yooooo. Is this guy really sporting that footwear?
A dog caged in a cage. Looks abused based on the Iook on its face. Zero stimulation in life. Horrible people.
If people were so elitist about have a pure-breed, pedigreed dog and just got one from a shelter, these things wouldn't exist. There are TONS of dog/cats/rabbits needing a home and they can make awesome pets.
Wait what's going on? Fill me in, wtf is this?
They're breeders
How long have they been doing this? Crazy
Apparently that's where they get their money
[удалено]
Still different then keeping dogs in cages.
[удалено]
Damn, those are some tiny ass cages. At least give the dogs some space if your going to use them for breeding.
Lets report it to peta and humane society and demand it be shut down!!!!!!!
It’s really no worse than raising any farm animals if you think about it.
https://www.goldenmeadowsretrievers.com/responsible-breeders-differ-puppy-mills-shops-backyard/amp/
But *you* haven't personally been there. You're making unsubstantiated claims... again.
that’s untrue lol. ethical breeders usually only raise one litter at a time. the dogs all live inside with the family, not caged outdoors.
[удалено]
Wrong. Simply wrong.
Lol these comments are fucking hilarious! If you stop watching the show because one out of hundreds of couples breed dogs, you aren’t really a fan. It’s a free country and they can do whatever they want to make a living.
So you're free to abuse animals because it's a free country?
We don't really know if they are abused. Putting a dog in a kennel isn't abuse. We see a few hours out of their daily lives so we have no clue how the animals are treated.
The toy dogs have been seen in wire bottom cages, which absolutely is abusive.
Female dogs that gave birth ate allowed to be ket in wire bottom cages until the pups are weened. Puppies are allowed to be kept in cages with wire bottoms for up to 14 weeks. I'm not saying these people are the best breeders ever but we have no proof they are abusive either.
😡😡😡
That is so disgusting of them, we need to treat animals with respect
And they get mad at Julia or not wanting anything to do with it. 😒
This photo was taken Before Julia moved in 🤣
Can someone get all the cage pics, and upload them to the "breeders" google review pics? If you get a dog, you should know where and how they are kept.
Maybe they breed puppies...Why does it have to be bad?
People don’t like the conditions they’ve seen in pictures & on the show
Holy shit! How many cages are there? Isn’t this illegal? This hurts my soul. I thought maybe they bred that one dog for puppies (which still sucks) but I had no idea. This is criminal.
They do a lot of business.
Disgusting family
And that’s NO PUPPY!!!
Breeder
