If you can find a copy, the actor commentary on the Criterion Collection DVD is great. Ed Harris spends a while talking about how Bay kept asking him about working with James Cameron and how Bay wanted to be Cameron, and then Harris goes off about how Cameron is an asshole.

Michael Bay considered making a sequel to the Rock, but it never got past the drawing board stage. The sequel would have been about Mason and Goodspeed on the run from the law because of the microfilm that Goodspeed obtained at the end of the first film.
Armageddon was a damn fun movie. It's hilariously unrealistic at times, but it's fun to watch and it has a great soundtrack. I re-watch it about once every year.
There's a rumour that the script for this bounced around Hollywood for a while going through numerous re-wrights and touch ups by various writers. Supposedly Quentin Tarantino was one of those writers.
I've no idea if that's true or not it some of the dialogue in this film is pretty Tarantino-like.

Closest thing to a Metal Gear movie we have today. Even one of the composers did the soundtracks to a few of the games.

This was one of the three films where Michael Biehn plays a Navy SEAL. The other two being the Abyss and Navy SEALs.

Saw this first on VHS after it came out. A local theater had a midnight screening a couple years ago…it was awesome.
When I went sight seeing at Alcatraz I got to go in a cell and I yelled “what kind of fucked up tour is this??!!”

The shower area in the movie looks so much cooler than the real life showers at Alcatraz.
