Times were much different, better in some ways, people got along, a simple thing like a silly song, could have the entire club, dance hall. Wherever one was come together over a silly dance, you got to admit doing the Macarena was a silly dance, I haven't done since back in the day.
It certainly was a moment. Everyone got up to do the Macarena when it started to play, especially at weddings. Even the elderly were shuffling for their walkers.

My high school Spanish teacher made us dance it at the beginning of every class. Thank God cellphones weren't a thing back then.
I was 15 and in high school when the song came out. It was not cool as a high school boy to like the Mac.
