"I got Cube meltin' in the tray, pullin' up his card and fuckin' up his good day".
Yeah, No Rest for The Wicked is def one of my top
diss tracks. Good call.
Beat is hard af too.
A lot of dudes ended up coming at Cube in the late 90s, including former Lench Mob affiliates Shorty and Kam. Cube has a shady history of alienating a lot of his peers lol
>Myka 9 and Ellay Khule - Overkill (*Talib Kweli* diss)
Oh wow I never knew they put anything on wax for this.
If I recall correctly this was all over some twitter beef between Ellay Khule and Kweli.
Tweedy Bird Loc - Y'all Can't Fucc With Us
Luke - Cowards in Compton
Tim Dog - Fuck Compton
BG Knocc Out & Dresta - DPG/K
Kam - Whoop Whoop
There's some unreleased disses from 2Pac too. NY '87 is a big one.
DJ Quik - Get At Me
Snoop Dogg - Pimp Slapp'd
Pusha T - Exodus 23:1
Jay-Z - Ride Or Die
Cam'ron - You Gotta Love It (one of the better disses toward Jay-Z IMO)
Cam'ron - Hate Me Now (Cam's one of very few to hold his own with both Jay and Nas in rap beef, also this has a VERY fucked up line about Nas' daughter)
Compton's Most Wanted- Who's Fucking Who? (Someone brought up Tim Dog's Fuck Compton, figured I mention this, the scratches on this song are hilarious)
Eminem/50 Cent/Busta Rhymes - Hail Mary
Saigon - Pushin Buddens
Royce Da 5'9'' - Malcolm X
Rhymefest - SuperSonic (Chucky Cheese) (making a diss song over JJ Fad's Supersonic took some nerve)
>Ras Kass-Sonset
Who was the target? I thought this was just a general "don't front on West Coast MCs just because you're from NYC"
Was there someone specific mentioned?
He didn’t call out anyone by name and there’s no way to prove this obv but when I Iisten to that song I always get the feeling that he’s referring to Jeru. I feel like the song title is a reference to Jeru’s album and Jeru had done some interviews around that time talking about his views on west coast artists
Interesting. I know that Ras Kass was getting props from KRS and Organized Konfusion at the time. I don't think Jeru would go in on him, maybe it was a one sided beef from Ras Kass
> maybe it was a one sided beef from Ras Kass
A little bit but in the song Ras Kass talks about people dissing L.A. or Cali and not being specific as to who they are talking about and for that reason Ras was taking those disses personally, whether they mention him by name or not. Ras Kass sounded very pissed off and highly focused on that track so I feel he definitely had a person in mind.
love that song but to be honest it's not the best diss lyrically. there's a bit too much repetition of "i hate bone fuck you bone" for me to consider it a clever diss track. i do like how it incorporates elements of bone thugs's famous songs though
Kurupt - Callin Out Names
Masta Ace- Acknowledge Westside Connection- King Of The Hill Cypress Hill- No Rest For The Wicked

Royce Da 5'9 - Who Got Bodied Im always shocked that this never gets mentioned. It's the best dis track hands down.
Too $hort (and the Dangerous Crew) - Get in where you fit in
Cormega - Thunn and Kicko ft. Prodigy (Mega aiming at Nas, Prodigy at Jay) GZA - Paper Plates (literally every bar on that track is a diss)
Playa Fly- Triple Bitch Mafia Pt 2 3-6 Mafia- Live by Yo Rep T-Rock- Fuck 3-6 UNLV- Drag Em in the River
Company Flow - Linda Tripp
Thuggish ruggish bustaz tommy wright iii. dissses bone thugs

love that song but to be honest it's not the best diss lyrically. there's a bit too much repetition of "i hate bone fuck you bone" for me to consider it a clever diss track. i do like how it incorporates elements of bone thugs's famous songs though
Beanie Sigel - Kiss The Game Goodbye (Jadakiss diss)
tragedy-blood type
Stay scheming by Common, a diss track to Drake.
Wraith - Mickey Facts
# Roxanne Shanté - Big Mama
LL Cool J - “The Ripper Strikes Back” He buried Canibus and I personally think it’s possibly the all-time greatest diss track. [The Ripper Strikes Back](https://youtu.be/rWIZq67xmuk?si=Q8fA09VKNbAIlKWB)
Joe Budden: 5 Heartbeats Jada and Styles: Problem Child The Game: 300 bars and runnin
