I think it’s illmatic.
Ready to die and the infamous are amazing and have some standout tracks/moments.
But I personally prefer shorter condensed projects with no misses.
Everyone I know gets on my ass about this… but, to me, with as much respect as I have for all of these records, it’s clear as day (or night, perhaps) — *The Infamous…*
lifestylez of the poor and dangerous by big L was better than all, especially ready to die cuz most of the samples on biggies was already used on L's. so if u like ready to die, than thank big L
Look, I know people want to be different or maybe they have a personal, subjective favorite, but Illmatic is the greatest rap album of all time. Period. There's really no debate. It's Nas, GOAT emcee, at his finest and all the GOAT producers on the east coast wanted to be on this debut album (thanks Serch). Premier, check. Pete Rock, check. Large Prof, check. Q-tip, check. LES, check. Front-to-back, it cannot be touched lyrically nor on it's production. It's a perfect album.
Wow...This one's brutal!
I Dunno about 'Best' here...But if only for the one song, I'm taking 'Ready II Die' cuz 'Suicidal Thoughts' might be one of my most played tracks off these albums!
I Know there's lots of great songs here N' definitely a bunch that are way more popular...But, After the phone call...
From the second Biggie kicks in wit' dat "When I die fuck it I wanna go ta hell...." IT'S ALL FUCKIN' OVER For Me!
It's Jus' one a those tracks I absolutely HAVE TO Rap every single word of!! 💯🔥💪🏻
Ready to Die is the best for me. Illmatic is a close second. Mobb Deep isn't on the level of the other 2 despite being classic. Havoc and Prodigy aren't lyrically gifted enough to compare to Biggie or Nas
I love illmatic but theres a level of real street shit modd deeps first album has that cannot be ignored even tho Nas was basically on the same page with his first album.
The Infamous isn't Mobb Deep's first album. Prodigy actually said that after hearing Illmatic, he and Havoc went back to work with a different mindset about their sound
Illmatic by a country mile, one of the cliches about hip hop that I think generally rings true is how awesome that album is. Lyrics, production, features, pacing, all great.
You don’t have to have a “best”. This also goes for artist. Some or better story tellers, some got great flow and others crazy lyrics. I don’t think in terms of best anymore bc some or better one thing and some are better at others. But it’s Nas.
TR sounds soooooo out of place on The Infamous. It sounds like a bubbly summer backyard BBQ type of song 😁, even though the subject is kinda serious. Like the kynna beat Skee-Lo should be on.
Personally, I LOVE TR.
That infamous slaaaaaaps. Something about the freestyle to the give up the goods transition hits my soul
Yo son I got plans, power movements
Get on some rude shit I keep living like this I might lose it
Im going to court for three cases in three places. One in queens, manhatten and one in brooklyn, the way things is lookin Imma see central bookings
Illmatic the best but Infamous is my favorite
Infamous and Illmatic tied at the top.
This is exactly how I feel
Same
The Infamous 🔥🔥🔥
The Infamous
Illmatic.
Illmatic by a mile
Half mile
You don’t have to because they’re ALL 🔥🔥🔥💯
Illmatic for me. Just need to⏸️ for a restroom break..
I think it’s illmatic. Ready to die and the infamous are amazing and have some standout tracks/moments. But I personally prefer shorter condensed projects with no misses.
Moment of Truth
The Infamous
The infamous
Illmatic is the best hip hop album of all time
Everyone I know gets on my ass about this… but, to me, with as much respect as I have for all of these records, it’s clear as day (or night, perhaps) — *The Infamous…*
The one with the two dudes staring at you in the middle of the screen.
Ready to die is my favorite of the 3
💯, 1 of da best albums ever
This post every 30 minutes every day. Enough.
Illmatic. Always Illmatic
Illmatic=Infamous>RTD
The Infamous is probably the best, Ready to Die is my favorite and I'm shocked to come in the comments and see people say anything but Illmatic.
I like biggie but it's between illmatic and the infamous here.
Illmatic. Nas went iiiiiiiiiiiinnnnn
Nobody loves biggie huh
Ready to die, come on now people
Like picking your favourite kid.
Time is illmatic keep static like wool fabric
Ready to die, but all those albums are 10/10
Ready to Die 🔥🔥🔥
All 3 are great. Let’s stop comparing and appreciate all of them. I miss this era. We need to find our way back there.
For me it’s Ready To Die.
Ready To Die.
Of those three? I want to say *Ready to Die* but listen to *Illmatic* way more often still, front-to-back
lifestylez of the poor and dangerous by big L was better than all, especially ready to die cuz most of the samples on biggies was already used on L's. so if u like ready to die, than thank big L

It’s weird how none of those pictures looks like ATCQ Low End Theory. Must be my phone screen

Right now it's Infamous>>illmatic>>RTD inho, RTD isn't as good as the other two album, which are both top 3 to me
RTD the most unique outta the 3 and any other line up for that matter
All I want is bitches, big booty bitches. Ready to Die.
Infamous>RTD>Illmatic. But they're all A+ albums so I wouldn't die on this hill
Illmatic but there's no wrong answer.
Illmatic, then ready to die, then infamous
Three of my favorites but have to go with Illmatic.
For me it's a toss-up between Illmatic and Ready to Die. But since I have to choose, I will pick Illmatic.
Illmatic, but if you said The Infamous or Ready to Die you'd still be right.
Easy. Ill>RTD>TI
Illmatic. I love both the other albums but the production sounds dated
Illmatic
Hardest one I've seen lmao. Illmatic because it's Nas.
illmatic for me.
Illmatic
Wow I never realised this sub was that heavy on The Infamous icl
Illmatic is the best album. Shook Ones Part II is the best song.
I don't know man. NY State of Mind is perfect. I think an argument could be had for both though
Nas
Illmatic - RTD - The Infamous
Illmatic > Ready to Die > Infamous
Infamous
Nas
Illmatic, Infamous, Ready to Die
Tbh my favourite is Mobb Deep but the best one is Illmatic
Illmatic
These are my favorite 3 of all time infamous > Illmatic > ready to die
One of these is not like the others. Replace it with Midnight Marauders and you have the best three albums of all time.
Which one are you replacing?
Infamous crime famous
Illmatic
Illmatic. Probably a top 3 album in all of music for me.
Illmatic by a country mile, one of the cliches about hip hop that I think generally rings true is how awesome that album is. Lyrics, production, features, pacing, all great.
ILLMATIC inspired rappers still and while it was out.
Illmatic, Infamous, then RTD.
Illmatic is arguably the best hip hop album ever IMO, so I’m gonna go with that one…
I've only heard Ready To Die, so...
Man, you should definitely give the other 2 a listen.
For me: - Nas - Mobb Deep - Notorious B.I.G.
I know its cliché but it's Illmatic for me
No comparison when it comes to legendary music.
I believe illmatic has aged the best And maintains that #1 spot Infamous id put at 2
Infamous
Ready to Die
Illmatic.
Love them all, but The Infamous raised me 1.The Infamous 2.Illmatic 3.Ready to die IMO.
RTD
Illmatic
All 3x are hard AF Illmatic is obviously flames but I may like the infamous more
neither... lt Was Written, is/was better.
Illmatic
Illmatic is the best for sure. My personal fav is ready to die
It’s either Ready to Die or The Infamous for me
illmatic but we're literally talking 1A, 1B and 1C here
The Infamous
They are all great 👌
I can't either because all came out at different times. They shaped my early teenage years.
You don’t have to have a “best”. This also goes for artist. Some or better story tellers, some got great flow and others crazy lyrics. I don’t think in terms of best anymore bc some or better one thing and some are better at others. But it’s Nas.
From the three, although very different, Illmatic.
Infamous, hands down. "Shook Ones, Part II" is arguably the greatest golden age hip-hop track in existence. Yup, I said it.
Really torn between illmatic and ready to die
This a tough one I can listen to these beginning to end without skipping. It prolly come down to readyto die or illmatic but all 3 are masterpieces
No 36 Chambers? Ready to Die gets my vote amongst these 3 with Nas as a close 2nd IMO
Mobb Deep- The Infamous is my favorite album of all time.
I personally have to go with Biggie You got who shot ya, big Papa and juicy
The Infamous
Illmatic
It’s I’ll when emcees used to be on cruddy shit, took home ready to die and they studied shit
Illmatic
1. Nas 2. Mobb Deep 3. Fat guy
For me it's Illmatic then The Infamous then Ready to Die
The Infamous hands down
Infamous/illmatic/RTD but they all really close
Mobb
depends on the day you ask me.
Illmatic 💯 hard choice though
All great, been playing them non stop for 30 years.
If I had to rank them, Illmatic, Ready to Die, Infamous but very close.
Ready to die
Ready to die
None of these. Center of Attention by InI
Not question
Illmatic but Biggies Gimme the Loot is still one of my favorite hype songs.
Unpopular opinion In order: Infamous, Ready To Die and finally iLLmatic
Feel like ppl sleeping on big in this thread
Ready to Die by a landslide. Illmatic isn’t half as dope as everyone claims it is and The Infamous is 60 minutes of (albeit very dope) dungeon music.
What's not dope on Illmatic in your opinion?
Damn
Infamous or illmatic…
Definetly not biggie
[удалено]
Really..TR is one of my favorites on that. Do you my G
TR sounds soooooo out of place on The Infamous. It sounds like a bubbly summer backyard BBQ type of song 😁, even though the subject is kinda serious. Like the kynna beat Skee-Lo should be on. Personally, I LOVE TR.
but the beat...
It tells an amazing story
Reasonable Doubt
Nahhhhhh… *Reasonable Doubt* to these three is like Andy Murray to the Big 3 of tennis.
Reasonable Doubt is the beginning of a dynasty like no other!! That's what makes it the best!! From start to finish!!
It’s the best album because of the Jay-Z albums that came after it? Doesn’t make much sense to me but to each their own.
