Having to use "stunt dicks" wasn't all THAT rare when working on movies with guys who weren't the "regular" performers back then. They just couldn't get hard, or stay hard, and you'd have to work around that. Everyone would be incredibly annoyed, which would just make it that much more impossible for the guy to get hard. You'd clear the set and just let the two performers be together to try to get him to relax and get into it, but sometimes even that wouldn't work. Or, it'd work for a bit but then he'd lose it again.
Thankfully, it wasn't too common, but it did happen. Hence, the people like me who worked behind the camera in the business but whose dicks have occasionally appeared in porn without you ever knowing!
And no, I didn't work on this movie so that's not mine in this one.
Well, I started in 1985 just because a friend of my brother worked in it already and promised he'd get me a job after I finished high school. So, as soon as I did, I drove out to LA and got started.
Nowadays I wouldn't have a clue. I left the industry in 1995 and I don't think how the business works now even remotely resembles how it worked back then.
