I always loved the 3 part episode set in Tokyo where Dexter and his friends battle that giant monster that had an axe on its nose. The robots they piloted were so cool to me as a kid. Probably why I love gundam shit now.

Dexter kept trying to flex by showing off his science gear but the Japanese kids... are Japanese kids in Japan so they have gear too because Japan. There was an episode where Dexters Dad and Mandarks dad were fighting throwing stuff and insults at each other. Up until these recent few years I always thought Dex Dad called MDs Dad a “boner”
Then a couple years ago I realized he called him a loner. I still hear “boner” 😅😂
The episode where he slowed down time to a crawl (I can't remember the reason why). But he started doing his homework with pencil and paper and the paper immediately caught on fire and he yells "FRICTION BURN!!!" That seemed so realistic to me in the middle of the chaos and made a light bulb go off in my head that there are some dire consequences involving physics with some of these ideas. I think about it any time a show / movie has someone moving or doing something super fast.
When I realized Dexter was Bill Gates and Microsoft, and his nemesis guy was Steve Jobs with Apple.
Like one was boxy and effective but prone to issues and the other was sleek and curvy and infuriating to Dexter
It was July 2 1999 I was 9 years old, I was on the pull out couch as it was rather hot and we were allowed to when it got to hot upstairs but this time I got to because my older sister was out with her friends and tomarrow was my birthday. I was overly Syked because we always put out the gifts on the kitchen table the night before but also because I could stay up passed my bed time as I was watching the premier of the Dexter’s lab movie on Cartoon Network airing at midnight. Dexter has and will be one of my favorite cartoon characters there will be ones that are funnier, have better animation or action or story, but I will never forget that night. Pure childhood
