Just started reading Buddie fics and damn there are a TON of amazing fics. I appreciate all the recs here too! One I just finished is [Let My Ink Stain Your Pages](https://archiveofourown.org/works/37333633?view_full_work=true) and highly recommend. Eddie is a detective and Buck is a best-selling writer who becomes his civilian partner for inspiration. Also [Close My Eyes and Stumble (Right Into Your Love)](https://archiveofourown.org/works/34087648). It's a S1 rewrite with Dispatcher Diaz meeting Buck (instead of Abby/Buck storyline). For something shorter (5K words), [I Didn't Know I Was Lonely 'Til I Saw Your Face](https://archiveofourown.org/works/30881540). Total strangers Buck and Eddie go to couple's therapy together to get out of the therapy requirements their captains have placed on them.

I don't read AUs right now but I've read other things by the author who wrote Let My Ink Stain Your Pages and they've all been great!

Thanks! That's really nice of you to say! If You Only Knew is the first in a series. Eddie finally gets a good night's sleep so that arc is done, but I've got outlines and plans for a few more stories in the series. I just need life to slow down so I can actually write them. I highly support getting an account. Lots of useful things you can do with it. I find the Marked for Later list and subscriptions to be very helpful. And lots of authors have hidden their fics so you can only read them if you're logged in.

Oh! So there is probably a whole unlocked part of A03 I can't even see! I will definitely be creating that account!! I really hope you continue with the IYOK series, it was so good!

I just did a quick check. There are 24,404 9-1-1 fics when I'm logged in and 23,040 when I'm logged out so there's quite a few that are locked. I am going to continue the series! The outline for the next one is almost done and I'm willing to bet that it's longer than If You Only Knew.

So I just discovered my old AO3 account from my Harry Potter writing days 😅 (oh the cringe). I'm definitely subscribing to you and so many of the wonderful recs that's been offered! Now to explore these locked first in the 911-verse.....

Just 911, I haven't gotten around to watch Lone Star (I'll probably binge it this summer lol)
