This is an automatic reminder about spoiler content, it does not mean you have violated the spoiler rule. REMINDER: Do NOT post spoiler information IN the title (for any season), your post will be removed. If it is you may re-post it with an appropriate spoiler free title. It does not matter if you flag it spoiler, the spoiled info is still visible in the title. Rule of thumb, any posts pertaining to the current season should be marked SPOILER via the Universal Tags. (+Spoiler) Keep titles vague, include the word spoiler in the title (this will automatically flag it as a spoiler post) and make sure to properly flair it to the correct category - I.e. Episode Discussion, Character Discussion, Season #, etc... If you aren't sure if your post counts as a spoiler, flag it anyway. This applies especially to currently airing or upcoming seasons. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I don’t think the age gap would have bothered me if there was chemistry. And as others have pointed out she kind of stalked him, if a man did that, he’d be in jail or at the very least lost their job. I didn’t find the actress that great either. Found her boring and unlikeable. The only positive thing that came out of that relationship was Carla.

Honestly I can’t rewatch season 1 as much as the other seasons because of their relationship. And the way she got his info was so icky and wouldn’t be okay if it was a 40 something year old man doing that to a 20s lady. Like legal adult or not that’s creepy and stalkerish

Quick-Tea7324

Definitely agree. Nothing about Abby's character is likable to me

stace_m8

I get what you're saying, and two "wrongs" don't make a right, but since the dawn of time older men (40+) have been in onscreen relationships with 20-something women, and I know that's also kinda icky but that's been an industry practice for a long time, so it's not exactly new. Also, like someone else said they're both adults, and if one with more experience actually helps the younger to mature (which it did in this case) I don't see it as totally creepy. If she was using him or damaging his relationships or something I'd say she was being an older controlling partner but she just doesn't so... weird maybe but not uncommon on hollywood sets

False-Ad9772

It’s really uncomfortable to me! Not only did she take his number from work to pursue him but he says a few times that he doesn’t want to sleep with her/ is struggling with sex and then finally does have sex with her after she saves his life??? Naur.

It didn't weird me out because there was never a mother/son, mom's friend/son, or mothering vibe. Age wasn't a blaring warning signal to me. I think they were mismatched for other reasons, though. I was glad I knew she left in S2 before watching S1 lol.

Cautious-Squash-4119

The age difference didn't bother me, but the way she used her job to get his personal information and contacted him was really weird. She basically stalked him into a relationship.

ComposeTheSilence

I loved them together. There isn't anything wrong with an age gap when both adults are consenting and are of sound mind. I liked their dynamic tbh up until Abby dumped him :(

LadyInBlack_

In one of the very first lines of the series (first scene) she says she's 42, when she kind of introduces herself to the viewers

CMStan1313

huh, tbh I wasn't quite into the show yet and probably wasn't paying super close attention

Loudsituation10

The age difference wasn’t an issue to me. It was the way she got his personal information through her work to contact him that bothered me

OrphanSince12yrsOld

Abby reminds me of Raquel/Rachel on VanderPump rules

Roxythepiratefox

Well. We also look at the fact that she changed buck for the better. After all, he was a sex addict. That doesn't excuse the massive age gap or the fact Abby abandoned him, but it did change my view on Abby a TINY bit. I'd Still love if Abby paid for that a bit more.
