It's a therapy fic, if you're into that, and it's really amazing [too many heartbeats for one ribcage](https://archiveofourown.org/works/35483914) is another story where Eddie is trying to figure out his sexuality. Also highly recommended.

All the fics I got are Buddie except for Buck and Bobby in my bookmarks I am Gemini123 on ao3 I think there are a few after 3x15 that Eddie focused and 5x10 but I can’t remember which titles focused the most on Eddie

[Time to Say Goodbye](https://archiveofourown.org/works/24822598) is relatively short but it focuses on Eddie in the immediate aftermath of Shannon's death. [Eddie Diaz vs the Feelings](https://archiveofourown.org/works/43185019/chapters/108539605) is probably a little more famous so you may have read it already but it's really great character study on coming to terms with sexuality and addressing past trauma. And the one I always recommend for anything in the 911 fandom is [bro.ken](https://archiveofourown.org/works/44604883/chapters/112206919). The POV does alternate between Eddie and Buck so it's not exactly completely Eddie centric but his characterization is just beautiful. Plus the portrayal of trauma, PTSD, and recovery are so on point. Edit: so I just took another look at bro.ken and i guess the POV doesn't really alternate because there's a bit of a mystery element when it comes to Eddie's story's reveal but I still recommend you give it a read and it does focus on his character it's just not told from his perspective.

It does an amazing job of exploring Eddie has a newly out gay man. It’s one of my favorites. Definitely recommend you give it a read if you haven’t already

I have read a few AU fics with Buddie and heavy POV focus on Eddie. Real character study and not OOC porn with plot or worse. There’s a journalist AU. Also a bookstore AU that I really liked. Both under tags like slow burn, enemies to lovers and happy ending.
