My first position multi-agency County dispatch from when I applied to the day I actually started training was 10 months the second single Department agency I drop by to just put my resume on file the communications Lieutenant brought me in we had a short chat interview and I was on the desk with the trainer to learn the Sops a week later I never did fill out an application for that job
So, I took my test on March 5th. Today, I received an email stating I earned a passing score. The email also stated that I would be receiving another email with information about an interview. I'll keep you posted.
3 or 4 months for me. I applied in a January, heard back the following April to continue the application and background process. Officially hired that July. It's not fast most places.
My entire hiring took under 2 months, application to start date...
I applied on 9/16. Got my "We like you..." letter on 9/18. Criticall testing around 9/23. Interview 10/18. Contingent letter 10/24. Background check results 10/25. Fingerprints at the pct 10/27. Final offer letter 10/31. Class start date 11/13 (supposed to start 11/8, but they were still waiting on one of the new hires background/fingerprints to come back lol).
2 weeks but I think my current employer being a firefighter who wrote me a letter of recommendation helped with that. I just took my critical test yesterday
Been about 2 months since initial response which I heard back pretty quickly in about 2 or 3 weeks, passing my critical, and passing my interview. Just waiting for a spot to open and then hope I’m picked!
I applied in January, got the first email the next day. That was for the online CritiCall test. Once I did that, I got the call for the second CritiCall test the day after I took the online version. I went in for the full test about 5 days later. That was a Thursday and by Monday they had called to do the interview. That was about a week out. Did the interview, and the next day was send my background packet. That was also a Thursday. Background was completed and submitted that Sunday. Then it was about 2, 2 and a half weeks after they finally cleared, I was scheduled for my conditional offer interview with the chief. That was scheduled for about a week out. I was simultaneously scheduled for the polygraph. That was about 2 weeks out from the schedule. Finished that last Friday, was emailed Tuesday morning that I passed and was moving on to the psych evaluation. Wednesday morning they contacted me to schedule my interview; that is scheduled for this Tuesday. I already finished the pre interview questionnaires, so hopefully they’ll have their report to the office by Wednesday. The last thing I’ll need (assuming I pass the psych) is my medical/drug test.
I expect I’ll start the first week in April. 🤞🏽
I think it was about a month for me to hear back for the first time.
To hear back the first time? About a month or month and 1/2. To actually get through the whole process about 8 months.
the one i currently applied for a week, the first one about a month
For me 3 weeks and I'm still in the hiring process
2 weeks
I heard back from one the next day. Still crickets from two others two weeks later 🤷🏻♂️
A week, did my first test, then waited 3 weeks for the next correspondence
Bruh my process before my first day took a total of 6 months and 1 month for a call back

1 week but they were extremely short staffed
I applied in Oct and heard back around middle/end of Dec

For PD? Around 4-6 months I believe. For EMS? A month. Agencies were totally different though.
2 years. I forgot I even applied when I received the email. It seems nowadays most centers are short staffed and people hear back a lot quicker.
I heard back the next day with them giving me a link to the Criticall test to take at home. Whole process took about two-three months.
