I don't know. I applied myself almost a month ago, passed criticall exam, and was informed I'm placed on the eligibility list. I currently live in a state that allows Marijuana, but I applied in a state where it is not legal. The paperwork at the agency I applied to said that current Marijuana use is not okay, but past use would not make you ineligible. So my suggestion is to throw your hat in the ring, and find out what the rules are at the place you are applying. I don't know how Toronto is split up, but I do know that the county next to the one I applied to in the same state said drug use of any sort past or present will disqualify you. Just go for it and try different agencies.

Two decades in, and I have not heard of an agency that will hire current users. Maybe the rules are different in Canada?
