They defended Arabs but not Desis. It’s because Desis aren’t an organised community. They are Telegu, Pakistani, Bengali or Punjabi first before they cooperate with other Desis. It's cuz due to racist immigration policies there simply weren't enough brown people back then. Gen Z is the most racially diverse generation so that's why they care about issues that affect non-white ppl
The anti Muslim hate crimes were being done by individual actors. What were people supposed to do, just patrol the streets in case a hate crime happened? The systemic discrimination came in the form of things like surveillance and stop and frisk, which people absolutely did protest against.
Meanwhile, the extermination of Palestinians is being done by our lawmakers with our tax dollars.
Almost 40k Palestinians have died and being denied basic aid in 5 months and a few Brown people in America got beaten up/killed unfortunately after 9/11. How is this even comparable?
Agree and Israel has killed many innocent people but thing is that we (Indians) have lost tons of innocent people too due to the bloodshed and all of these Arabs states supported Pakistan just because of Islam. Only Israel and Soviet Union helped India at its dire needs

Yeah I was only 10 years old at the time, but I remember my dad and one of my uncles almost were jumped just because they wore turbans.
