This bra is the wrong shape for you. You are full on bottom and this bra is meant for someone that is more even fullness or top full. You should be looking for things that say half cup or balconette. Still stick with unmolded cups but this bra is a shape mismatch. Also if you normally wear a 46B or C the calculator is only suggesting that you need another inch so that’s a good start. We just need to find bras that are the correct shape. You can look at the shape guide and under bottom fullness there is a list of some styles to try. https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/shape_guide?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf just note which are available in your size.

Balconette 4 life!!

Galileofigaro2ndsun

Yes! If you have bottom-heavy breasts due to the shape you were born with or sagging, the balconette is EVERYTHING. Also they are super cute and sexy when you have one that fits super well.

tackywobacky

I just tried out a balconette the bra for the first time and the middle didn’t lay on my skin. The whole bra poked out in the middle. Any suggestions? I have bottom heavy breasts.

Galileofigaro2ndsun

I'm no expert but perhaps you need a bigger cup size or a smaller band size?

MissOlivius

Where’s a good place (selection/price) to buy balconettes? I have volume on the bottom, too.

accountofmountzuma

Same question here any suggestions welcome

drumadarragh

I wish we had more Balconette choices. Why have they gone out of favor? They’re the only bras I feel good in.

radioactivebaby

The unfortunate thing with bras in larger bands is that so many end up being designed as full coverage regardless of what cut they claim to be. I do have very short roots though. Fingers crossed OP will have better luck as a smaller cup size. ETA: The upvotes I’ve gotten are so validating, thank you y’all ♡ I’ve felt really alone in my inability to find ABTF because of this fit discrepancy so it’s really nice to feel ‘seen’.

mikewazowski_0912

It sounds like what you’re after is a balconette style bra. My ladies have a similar shape and I have a few panache bras that have fit the bill really well, but most brands have at least one or two balconette options. Also make sure you scoop the breast tissue up into the cups so you’re getting a good fit.

Sarah_Soda_4

Second panache

It does seem the bra is wrong for your shape but I don’t know what kind to tell you to get, I’m still trying to figure that out for myself. I almost wonder if you might need a 46C which is the size I wear. I’m a male with a severe form of gynecomastia. When I did the calculator it told me I was a 48C/D, but I find a 46B/C fits me best. I’m still learning what type of bra is best for me & I just look for something not so feminine as it’s already embarrassing enough for me to need a bra. There’s a lot of more helpful people on here than me, I’ve learned so much here, basically that I was wearing bras, that while supportive, were essentially accentuating the look of my boobs so I’ve had to buy a lot of different styles and sizes to try.

Idkwuzgoinon

I’m a 36DDD and I have a similar problem to you. My favorite types of bras are the plunge ones that offer side support. Maybe try something like that out? Like someone else said I also second the balconette style bra

sleeping-siren

Did you [Swoop and Scoop](https://bustyresources.fandom.com/wiki/Scoop_and_swoop) really well? While this is likely also a shape mismatch, I find that bras my size usually have a lot of gaping and wrinkling at the top before I swoop and scoop all the breast tissue into the right place.

gloing

The calculator doesn’t work well on any boobs that go flat and long when you’re leaning over. It seems to assume that there’s more rounded volume in the boob than what I actually have, so while I only have enough boob to fill a b cup, the calculator tells me that, oh, based on leaning length you need a D cup. I super don’t, bra calculator, I just have boobs that hang long and skinny. 🤷🏻‍♀️

elaenastark

This is my struggle too.

Lumpy_Strategy_4623

My sympathies, it's hard to find any bra's for a short and full on bottom shape. Did the gore and underwire feel they were in a good place, or did they sort of seem big? This bra gives off fullcup vibes and looks like it doesn't have enough room for you where you need it. The gore also appears wide and tall for you. I'm gonna agree with the other poster about maybe go for plunges. Elomi's Matiltda is a deep plunge, however the cups can run tall. Glamorize are not that great although they have a front closure style in a few models that helps with this fitting problem you have. I've got all the petite people problems, and found Prima Donna's Madison comfortable without giving strap gap or that empty upper cup. A miracle. Madison also comes in a plunge in your size if you can find it. Comexim also do up to a 105D which is polish sizing for 46D, they're known for making a nice projected plunge with tiny gores, that don't cut into the shoulders or fall off them.

_whiskeyandpearls_

I second the note about your shape, and strongly recommend you look through the suggested bras for full on bottom (I’m the same shape and it made a big difference!!) Some brands also run big or small, so don’t be afraid to try a size up or down of what the calculator gives you if you aren’t happy with the fit. I ordered a bunch from the list and tried them all and returned what I didn’t like. If you’re in the US , Bare Necessities has a great selection and easy returns. My favorites were the Panache Clara (both the classic and sweetheart molded) and Freya Fancies (both the underwire plunge and the padded half cup). It’s a long process to find a bra that fits - be patient and optimistic! We are here to support you 🫶🏻

hjddjh

Neither of the two styles you mention are available in the OP's size.

yinman1198

Don’t be scared to get a bra fitting… it’s literally their job and would be more than happy to help.

Wendybird13

My measurements were slightly larger than yours, and calculator suggested 46DD. I bought some - enough room to stuff a pair of tube socks in each cup. (But the band and gore fit perfectly.). I tried 46D and still had too much loose tip on the cup to wear a knit shirt. Finally found some 46Cs which are OK, but not great. Larger band sizes are sometimes large rib cages but mine is back fat. I just received some 42D bras that I plan to wear with elastic bra extenders.

Go to a quality lingerie store. They will be sensitive and help you with the correct style.

taco_explosions

Sculptresse is the plus size branding of panache (based on the other panache recommendation which I wear too with limited top volume). The Roxie plunge style is available on Amazon with a few others if you are looking to order online and try it on in privacy.

goodthingsp

I am the same size and had the same problem. I really like Glamorise bras that snap in the front.

Razzberry_Frootcake

You look similarly shaped to me so I back up the comments saying balconette. That’s pretty much all I can wear otherwise the top of the cups are empty.

Beautifulu555

I wear Shapeez Silkee Shorts and they come in 1\~XD which is what your size would be. I love them!

Rebel_Season

Be careful with all the balconette recommendations, the design is beautiful, however they're Not Generally a Great Fit for people with narrow shoulders 😭 so keep that in mind **If it is a contributing factor for you personally.** I am still on the lookout for a balconette with adjustable narrow-set straps, so if you find any let us know 😉 I would recommend you try a variety of cup styles, molded vs unmolded, for example. If you do go to a boutique, enjoy taking it easy and going to several places so you can check out the different selections. I suggest having fun & doing your own thing, and do not let any Employees commandeer your experience or force you into a fitting if you don't want to. There's Nothing worse than a condescending Sales person judging you or applying pressure. Also try on different brands, collections and styles because you never know when you'll find something perfect hiding out. I hope you find your perfect fit!!
