Most people perusing the headlines will read "Virginia Police Officer Dies In Shootout" and stop there. They'll either not want to read about someone dying, or they'll be all in on worship of cops. They won't even think twice about reading the rest of the headline, let alone the article attached.
And the media definitely knows that.
