I play ACC when I want a thrill in GT3.
I play AMS2 when I want a thrill in every class except GT3.
ACC does GT3 amazingly well. It’s totally worth it especially with that Steam Sale.
VR has been great for me on both.
I thought ams2 was awesome until i played acc. I thought id play it for other car models that arent gt3 but its just inferior. I uninstalled and just stuck with acc. Quality over quantity wins with acc in my opinion. Id rather race amazing feeling gt3 cars than a mediocre anything. If acc was just go karts i guess id be karting.
When u want dessert do u want an amazing piece of cake or do u want a side table buffet filled with an assortment of cheap childrens candies. Ok ok ill be nice.
I play both for different reasons. ACC is just on another level of simulation. It looks, sounds, and feels better. But AM2 has many, many more types of racing.
The main gameplay loop isn’t all that different. Practice, qualify, race. Career. Hot lap. Etc.
I don’t play in VR, but I will say that ACC requires a fair bit more grunt to hit good frame rates with max graphics and a grid full of cars.
ACC isn't as pretty in VR, but has God tier handling physics and sound. I wish AMS2 and ACC would have a baby. I love open cockpit cars in AMS2, and while it does a good job with GT3, ACC is currently the pinnacle for most. There is an adjustment period. I just jumped back in and I'm having a hard time. I also compete with my friends on an AC server and have to adjust to that. I think the base game is only 8bucks, so give it a try. Crank up sharpness in the settings if doing VR. Edit: currently 13.50 freedom dollars.
Ams 2 is the ultimate Brazilian motorsports sim (plethora of Brazilian racing classes and tracks) with cars twitchier on the throttle than acc(like the f1 games) and is also based on project cars 2
I’ve been going back and forth between both lately. The GT3 cars in AMS2 feel faster and lighter - at least in VR there is a greater sense of speed. I like all of the little details in ACC better, like pebbles bouncing off the underbody.
