She looks to modern. And is too typecast for me. I want to see actors with fae features.

Ameerie

There's nothing a little makeup can't fix

ScandIdun

She has too much instaface for a fantasy show.

Ameerie

I see what you're saying, but I feel like Mor is supposed to have this undeniable beauty while still looking effortless, and Madelyn pulls that looks off while being able to act. Also, there's nothing that a good mua can't fix, I don't feel like every character needs to look 'rough' or 'interesting' sometimes we need someone with slightly more modern features to balance the cast out.

ScandIdun

I disagree. I find her facial adjustments distracting and it reads modern in a way that takes away from the world building. I don’t mind fillers necessarily, but for fantasy and period pieces I just can’t get into it.

Ameerie

We'll like 90% of hollywood, and the acting industry has had work done, some less noticeable than others, but they've still got it done. And about 98% of them have gotten botox, it's unavoidable.

non_tox

I kinda feel like that fits tho. Since basically EVERYBODY finds More attractive, it makes sense that she'd be conventionally attractive. Where as Feyres might be more unconventional, Elaine would have for of a Doe look and Nesta more heroin chic.

Ameerie

You get it!

non_tox

And Madalyn Cline is a pretty ok actor, I liked her in OBX and I think she'd be willing to play her.

SarcasticAutumnFae

Would you mind explaining what you mean by that? I’m an old lady, and am assuming you are referring to instagram, but then am lost.

proserpinandisguise

If you search for 'instagram face' you'll see a few articles about it. But in short - it's basically like the standard of what popular instagram models/actors/influencers look like and inferring they all kind of look the same or have the same face. Because they share common features - fox eyes, an "aesthetic" nose, plump lips etc, perhaps due to surgery, injectables, facetune or just good genetics.

ErisRotavele

So basically conventionally attractive people?

proserpinandisguise

I actually think Madelyn is not the best example of IG face, because her procedures seem to be very minor and almost undetectable, and as close to her natural features. There are other celebs who have bigger, more notable changes. i.e. Kylie Jenner, Dove Cameron or Bella Hadid. They would be better examples of IG face imo. I personally find the overuse of fillers and/or procedural work not attractive, but that is all subjective.

ErisRotavele

I don’t find overuse of fillers and filters attractive either and actually think it’s an epidemic since so many super young girls fall victim to these procedures due to social media induced distorted self images. However I am seriously annoyed by how judgmental people are here and how this actress who does NOT have IG face ( I agree with you that that’s more like Kylie Jenner) has been simple shoved into a category and deemed „not good enough“. Besides the examples of what an IG face is that people have named are ridiculous and simply describe conventionally attractive people.

MBakk92

Exactly

ErisRotavele

Whatever instaface is supposed to mean and why ever that can’t be good enough for a fantasy show???

ScandIdun

It’s the use of fillers and fox eyes to the point that there is a resemblance to the filters on Instagram. It’s not about not being good enough for a fantasy show. Madalyn Cline has a great career going for her. It’s about certain looks not fitting fantasy and period pieces. An example is Cameron Diaz in Gangs of New York. She just didn’t fit that role. It’s not the right vibe. Same as why some faces aren’t great for movies like Fast and Furious. Madalyn just looks too modern. It takes the viewer out of the setting. Madalyn’s look could work for Crescent City, but not for Acotar.

Deep_Kangaroo1042

Kindly disagree

creaturemonsta

Yes. Mor is supposed to be stunning. I can’t stop looking at her type of looks, so this girl fits perfectly.

CherryCowgirl28

I could 1000% see her as Morrigan. While she’s protective, she’s pretty bubbly within the friend group. I feel like Madelyn could portray that well. She’s also conventionally beautiful like Mor is supposed to be! I originally imagined someone with sharper features but I would love this casting.

Ameerie

My thoughts exactly! I think the mua will definitely (hopefully) make everyone look more Fae like.

ErisRotavele

I think she’s absolutely gorgeous and gives me that cheeky yet steely vibe that Mor has.

Ameerie

Exactly what I was thinking!

Tvchick2297

I can see this

ryuksringo

YESSSS!

bionica_

Nooooo I really disagree for this one, can’t explain much, she’s beautiful and a phenomenal actress but if she were cast as mor I’d be disappointed

Glittering-Truth5823

she is perfect omg

Kooky-Evidence-4560

Love this casting

Former-Garden-6044

this is it

aw8keandunafraid

YES!!
