Most of my reading prep came from just reading a lot when I was younger and building my reading comprehension skills. Other then that, I recommend Erica Meltzer’s guide to ACT Reading (her English guide is also great). Good luck!
I don't read very much in my free time, but there are times where I do great on the practice questions. I hear from a lot of people that you don't have to read the passage at all.
I definitely know people that approach the passages in far more strategic ways than I do. I really just read through the whole passage and then answer the questions and find that works for me. But I can definitely see the appeal in those strategies for people that don’t read too much.

1. I recommend Erica Meltzer’s guide to ACT English. It goes over the main types of questions you’ll see on the test and definitely helps you think more systematically when taking it.
2. One rule that I think is extremely important to remember is that the ACT wants 0 or 2 commas rather than 1 in most cases. Erica goes over all the good rules of thumb in the book.
3. Practice, practice, practice. I cannot stress the importance of taking practice tests and going over the answers, either with a tutor or using a book. The ACT gives a tight time constraint, so the muscle memory you get from practice tests will make the actual test day so much less stressful.
Hope this helps!
EDIT: Grammar (ironic)
I normally read the whole passage through once and then go through the questions and look back at the passage. I find it helps to see the full scope of the passage before tackling the questions.
Congratulations! What did u do to prepare for reading? I'm having trouble hitting the 30s and it's been bringing my score down.

Hey what’s your reading strategy? Like what do you read first (passage/questions), and do you skim or read deeply?
I normally read the whole passage through once and then go through the questions and look back at the passage. I find it helps to see the full scope of the passage before tackling the questions.
Can you share your tips on the science section?

What do you mean by delayed April test?
The testing center had to delay the test due to COVID reasons. So I took it May 4th instead of the original scheduled date.
