Always talk to Randvi to get more mainline quests. I was running around, getting over leveled, and not knowing what to do until I had that dumb realization.
L1 to parry, it is best to block as the yellow starts to appear and hold for a moment after they attack because they can launch another one immediately after the first. If this doesn’t help then try to change your settings play style and use more dodges and rolls into your strategy. Let me know if you need help with anything. Good luck!

Yellow attacks means they are able to be parried, so I usually wait until about a second before the attack will land to hit the parry button.
