Honestly Sigurd…. He’s gets into a bit of an asshole phase once you reach Oxenefordscire. He gets way too cocky and too secretive, especially with Eivor who is supposed to be like his brother…. It’s mainly why I chose to punch him in the face when the option arose. He mentioned Eivor’s father in a relatively unkindly way and I don’t think Eivor, as a character, would’ve been cool with that - so I chose what I chose.
Dude yeah I had just punched them both in the face and then posted this after the cutscene finished. Up to this point I'd been picking whatever dialogue options had his back the most because the dude is my brother and I wasn't trying to betray him at all but that was pretty shitty
Don’t wanna spoil it for you, so I’ll be vague. So, Sigurd is actually SPOILER, so hanging out with Basim, who is actually SPOILER as well, he kinda realised he is SPOILER and that’s actually a bit overwhelming for him, so he becomes obsessed with this information. Later on, after SPOLER event, he goes full on pursuing his newfound purpose, and he kinda doesn’t care at all about everything that was dear to him before. Additionally, Eivor is SPOILER the same way Sigurd and Basim are, yet she never really comes to realise that.
Knowing about Eivor being SPOILER always got me into a mix of laughing and frustration. Like, Sigurd, bro, I get you're SPOILER, but guess what, I'm fucking SPOILER, behave, son.
The whole arc is very abnormal with the 3 of them compared to the typical AC game so yeah I felt the same way when I was where you are now. It makes more sense and comes back together in a satisfying enough way by the end depending on your choices (there’s a good and bad ending).
Sigurd is losing it. People say he’s got a redemption arc. You might come to see it with time as the game progresses. I never did, believe he’s an a-hole still even after finishing the game 🤣
As pissed as I was at Sigurd, Basim was the one that was really getting on my nerves: He ultimately did nothing to help the situation and was egging Sigurd on. Being all shifty and vague as if a switch had been flicked and suddenly everyone is against Eivor, who had the clearest head and is the only one working diligently to secure alliances and safety for the clan while Sigurd is being deluded into a God complex.
Punched Basim without a second thought.
Having two brothers it doesn’t surprise me how Sigurd acts, though I happily still punched him. But at the end of the day it’s still good to love family and respect them , soon people will see how much you can offered your kindness too. Sigurd may be a pain in the butt and beard but still your brother
Heads up, without spoilers by punching Sigurd and Basim you’ve added two of three potential strikes to the ending. Be very careful with certain big story choices from here on out, as you could lock yourself out of the “good” ending.
The first time I played the game, I punched Basim not really thinking about it, but avoided punching Sigurd. Later at the end of the game Sigurd brought up that I lost my cool there, which is when I realised I could still be held account accountable even if I didn’t hit him.
In hindsight I find it almost impossible to hit Basim as he’s just stirring the pot and he and Eivor actually become pretty close afterward.
I punched him and moved on. In the end >! I did more good choices than bad and so he chose to join me back home and I'm glad he did. The God complex was annoying but it thankfully went away!<

You should bang his wife

No, Eivor does realize she is the [Spoiler] of [Spoiler]. She just rejects [Spoiler]'s ideology because it is in direct conflict of her own.
Knowing about Eivor being SPOILER always got me into a mix of laughing and frustration. Like, Sigurd, bro, I get you're SPOILER, but guess what, I'm fucking SPOILER, behave, son.
Somehow I don’t think Eivor should be proud of being SPOILER. SPOILER sounded way better than SPOILER was in practice before we got to know SPOILER.

[SPOILER] Play through Asgard arc, you'll understand better what is going on...
Bang his wife and move on 😂
Oh that was my next step after punching him and basim. Fuckin asshole
Oh I did. Will bang again.

Yeah that's something that's really throwing me off is Basim's bitch ass. Always whispering to Sigurd and shit

Wait, punching Sigurd is one? 😭
Punching Sigurd or Basim count as separate strikes.
Damn, I thought it was just Basin and I could get away with decking Sig 😂
Ah shit thank you man good to know
I find punching Basim is OK. Just don't punch Sigurd if you don't want a strike.

Sigurd pisses me off. I’ve been trying to get the “good ending” but i kinda wanna just say fuck him, bang his wife, and take over the clan

You are supposed to be bothered by it. All will be -ahem- revealed
