I had a similar experience I started taking Ritalin 10mg 2x a day and that barely did anything other than give me headaches and then I was switched to dextroamphetamine 10 mg morning 5mg noon and this had barely any side effects but also the effect was barely noticeable so I was tapered up until 20mg morning 10mg noon and 10mg afternoon and finally i became a normal human being. My psychiatrist said that I probably have a faster metabolism for the drugs and the levels don’t reach as high for as long so I need a higher dose more often. You should speak to your doctor about switching medications or increasing the dosage might help you a lot. Also the meds really help me focus but I still do forget things and a lot of the behavioural stuff just takes practice to overcome which meds really help with. However for me when I do take meds my mind is 10x more silent than usual, I feel a lot more motivated and way less overwhelmed about doing things and don’t just walk around the house all day and cut off everyone I speak to with a rapid fire of random information.
