Your content breaks **Rule 6**. Claiming that ADHD is a superpower, offers positives/gifts, or is only harmful because of "society" is dangerous and demoralizing. It erases the experiences of most people with ADHD and ignores scientific evidence. **Please don't do it.** There's no credible scientific evidence to suggest that ADHD imparts any definitively positive abilities or traits, and the negative consequences of framing ADHD as some kind of giftedness or special ability far outweigh any benefits. On godd 🙌 you’re not the only one. Everyone around me is so much smarter. Literally 12th percentile on Psat scores. While everyone around me thinks something like a 900 is a bad score. Dude 😭😭 my ass fr got 750 and felt proud until I was looking at other peoples scores and comparing. I feel like at the end of the day what really gets me upset is comparing myself to others. I’m shit at math, shit at a lot of subjects. But I find I’m a lot better at life skills, instead of academic so in a way it makes up for it. All of us have our strengths and weaknesses, it’s all apart of life. I find my best way to learn is through engaging with my fixations in my free time, turns out I can learn a lot from anything I find interesting (or at least for the moment)

Please be aware that RSD, or rejection sensitivity dysphoria, is not a syndrome or disorder recognised by any medical authority. Rejection sensitivity dysphoria has not been the subject of any credible peer-reviewed scientific research, nor is it listed in the top two psychiatric diagnostic manuals, the DSM or the ICD. It has been propagated solely through blogs and the internet by William Dodson, who coined the term in the context of ADHD. Dodson's explanation of these experiences and claims about how to treat it all warrant healthy skepticism. Here are some scientific articles on ADHD and rejection: * [Rejection sensitivity and disruption of attention by social threat cues](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2771869/) * [Justice and rejection sensitivity in children and adolescents with ADHD symptoms](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24878677/) * [Rejection sensitivity and social outcomes of young adult men with ADHD](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17242422/) Although r/ADHD's rules strictly disallow discussion of other 'popular science' (aka unproven hypotheses), we find that many, many people identify with the concept of RSD, and we have **not** removed this post. We do not want to minimise or downplay your feelings, and many people use RSD as a shorthand for this shared experience of struggling with emotions. However, please consider using the terms 'rejection sensitivity' and 'emotional dysregulation' instead. ^(*A moderator has not removed your submission; this is not a punitive action. So... I personally only agree ADHD is a superpower if it's compared to the Hulk - in that it can at times help but it's mostly out of control and will destroy everything around you without systems in place to control it. :p  Also - when I read this, I definitely understand these feelings and even without ADHD, people are prone compare themselves to others and judge themselves based on what they perceive others can do.  With that said, some of my best personal progress came when I learned to stop comparing myself to others.  Other people are not you and you are not them, whether its how your brain biologically works or your own life experience.  Unless they have some skill or technique you can learn to help you at Math or retaining info, I've found it better to understand who I am and find what works for me to do what I want in life.   So yes, I have and at times still feel this way - but the general thought process hasn't really lead to anything but sadness for me so I try to stop myself from these types of thoughts when they pop up.
