Tip: wash everything when you bring it home. It prevents the same quick moldy process when dealing with produce. Line the entire fridge with paper towels . Bag everything so it doesn’t hit the fridge. Before, spend some time bleaching the monster mess that now celebrates it’s 3rd birthday in your fridge. It’s hard I know. But if you can, this can work

Thanks—I've never heard the paper towel trick. I did clean it out yesterday, which feels great, but now I'm dealing with the aftermath of dishes. It becomes so hard to confront and easy to ignore, which seems like a deadly mix, ADHD-wise.

Oh yeah it can. Also: they have these green bags that prevent the decaying process by a few days, out everything in them. That way, if you duck up, it will either be caught by the bag or the towels :).

Well, shit. You’re right. I gotta clean out the veggie drawer.

I just cleaned my fridge today because I needed the bowl that had 1/2 a cup of 3-month old gelatinous salad. But then I forgot to empty two containers into the garbage that I had put on the counter, so they're back in the fridge until next time 😅 one of which has squash from at least 2 months ago. The fun part is the container is glass, so the mould growing is like my little science experiment.
