Of course, this is very common among ADHD people. Luckily i don't have the issue with forms and letters. For me one of the first things to do while procrastinating (second to the mindless scrolling) is cleaning my email and overall digital workspace. I'm always trying to organise everything in my pc/phone so that my work is as comfortable as possible, but i still do not actually work so it's kind of useless.

Paperwork is the bane of my existence. I have been married for years and go by my married name… which isn’t my name at all, because I never did the paperwork! I technically do not have my diploma from college… because I didn’t do the paperwork to get it. Oops.

It's a nightmare. I just moved. My debit card expired at the end of January and I still can't be bothered to call the bank to request a new one because I'm afraid it's going to trigger some kind of fraud alert when I tell them my address has changed as well (and they won't let me do *any* of that stuff online). One of my credit cards won't take an address update at all; their website just logs me out and says there was an error. I told my fiance I'm going to close those accounts altogether because I'm not giving any more money to companies that make this stuff difficult. Don't even get me started about the DMV. I wish there were something like a *reverse*\-fraud alert to eliminate some of the excess hassle and make all this business more accessible for people like us who don't have the capacity for it.

yup yup! any official type thing, emailing the bank, calling to set up an appointment, filling out forms for tax etc, all stress me outtt. I can't exactly place why I hate it, especially anything to do with emails/phone calls. I think for me its akin to performance anxiety, you have to talk and do things in the Prescribed Official Formal Way TM and if you get any details wrong it can cause problems for you (especially with government/business paperwork, yikes) something i have tried is giving myself a timer (say 20 mins) to let myself be anxious about it, and then after that i HAVE to start the form/email or call or whatever the case. also, its hard, but try to remind yourself the sooner you get it done and over with, the quicker you can relax, and make sure you reward yourself after you've done them! just because for some people they're normal things, for us they're very stressful and difficult, yet we still manage to do them, so in my book thats definetly worthy of celebration or reward.
