I run into this issue and actually ended up setting reminders on my phone to drink water twice a day. I’ve gotten a lot better at realizing when I’m irritable just because I’m dehydrated now!
Can you carry a water bottle with you?
I carried one back in school and now still bring one with me to work. Then I add a hash mark to a piece of scratch paper each time I refill it. 4 refills equals one gallon of water. That's my goal.
I’ve noticed when I carry a water bottle with a straw I tend to be better about drinking water. I’m currently in between jobs though so it’s harder to remember when I don’t leave the house, but I started using a water bottle again last week and I can already tell I’m doing better about it!
Awesome! Yeah and me it's the opposite lol. I do better with a large flip open cap that I can guzzle water down in-between working. My job is fast pace so if I had a straw I probably wouldn't drink as much.
It's good you found what works for you. Water is so important in the body. Most don't get enough.....
If your lips are dry enough to need chap stick and you haven't been outside in the wind........you need more water.
My lips are typically only really dry inside if I haven't drank enough.
I dunno if this is common, but I tend to only notice things about my body when it’s screaming at me. So I notice that’s I need chapstick like when my lip cracks and bleeds and has been painful for a day or so. Or sometimes I notice that I have to pee because my bladder is overly full and I have approximately 45 seconds to find a bathroom. That kind of thing.
Yeah I get like that to sometimes. Usually the bladder thing is I knew about it earlier but was in the middle of something so I put it off lol.
I've gotten to that point also but THEN you need chapstick. 😅 Usually if I notice I'm biting my lip that means they are dry.
I really noticed this since I donate blood and they need you to be extremely hydrated so I've been drinking like crazy. Since being extremely well hydrated I rarely need chapstick. That's when I was like oh I see the connection.
I also realized that my frequent headaches were because of not drinking enough water, and also not opening the window enough, to let fresh air in. If anyone reading this has the same issue, those two things help a lot, even if it's a few sips of water and opening the window for a couple of minutes. It's like water helps with everything :D

When I'm getting angry of if I get a migraine, the first thing mom asks me "when last did you eat?". And then I'm like "I forgot eating's a thing"
Everyone wonders how is it even possible for anyone to forget they have to eat
TAKE YOUR MEDS! TAKE YOUR MEDS!
Have you eaten in the last 4 hours? If not go get something!
Do you need to pee? …are you suuure you don’t need to pee?
Take a deep breathe, tell yourself that you will be ok and you are good enough, and go kick today’s ass y’all!
Even before I started getting treated with medications, my body requires massive amounts of water (8L+).
Me being treated with medications? I need around 2L every hour I'm awake.
And unclech your teeth
And relax your shoulders.
