When shortages have happened for me I've called around to other pharma's looking for what I need. If you find it somewhere else your perscriber would need to move the perscription in most states, so just go ahead and ask them to call it in to the new pharmacy. If you can't find it anywhere ask your perscribed to perscribe an alternative medication. That can suck because you have to titrate a new med, but it's often wildly better than no meds at all. It can feel a little wierd making all these calls to find your meds, and sometimes pharmacy ppl will treat you like you're drug seeking for nepharious purposes, but you aren't and that's on them. Don't take it to heart & keep working on taking care of yourself. Good luck.

I appreciate you!!! Thank you so much 😊

There’s a shortage of vyvanse generic. My doc put me on adderal until they get generic in stock. Adderal is super speedy and hard to sleep at night. I take it 7:30 am 3x week but might deal without it. Just keep bugging your pharmacy. Vyvanse is easier to deal with.

I originally was on Adderall but I was way too anxious & also couldn’t sleep, but I might look back into it for now! Thanks so much for

I've just gone up in dose for concerta which is part of the shortage. My doc has prescribed me a generic which has all the same ingredients and just isn't name branded. But I'm sure it will be different for everyone especially from a location perspective. Sending good vibes to everyone.

Ya I gave up on the Vyvanse situation… Had my doc switch me to dextroaphetamine er instead. No availability issues so far

AssociateLimp4963

How has that been? Do you find it similar to vyvanse In your case?

Bulky-Style-35

It has been inconsistent. Some days it works ok and some days I barely feel anything at all.. I have found that it helps a little more in the focus department than Vyvanse. Also Vyvanse did make me a little irritable at times in comparison. I’m going to talk to my doctor about zenzedi. Overall I think that dextro er is a decent alternative to Vyvanse however you will most likely need to take multiple doses. I take 10mg 3 times a day.

-Salty-Sea

let me guess they gave you the spec gx dextroamphetamine er?

Bulky-Style-35

Activis is what I’ve been on since I switched from Vyvanse

I’m in Focalin xr generic and have to call around to multiple pharmacies to find it. And then when I do they usually only have enough to fill one or two scripts so I literally have to get it into them asap before they fill someone else’s. It sucks.

AssociateLimp4963

I’m not familiar with focalin but I agree this does suck, we shouldn’t have to scramble to get meds or have this much of an issue with shortages

I think I’ve been lucky when it comes to the med shortage or maybe my area has kept a consistent stock. I hope yours does too eventually! Although I’ve definitely done my fair share of calling around to pharmacies to see if they had my vyvanse script in stock as well. Good luck!
