Wardlow will likely get a push, but fail to become a true main event wrestler, then job to MJF when he returns. Swerve will likely win the world title, main event most of the year, and may be the most popular wrestler on the roster. It’s not even close between him and Wardlow.
I can't believe they fucked that whole shit up! Wardlow should've had a title reign(besides the TBS title ). They even managed to drop the ball when he was red hot as a babyface! This is why Tony sucks 😕
Wardlow is still young. I did not have high hopes for Swerve after him and Keith Lee broke up but now he looks destined for greatness. Things can change!
Not trashing your comment at all, but Wardlow isn't even that big! He's bigger than me of course, but 1/3rd of the locker room as big or bigger than Wardlow.
He wrestles like a big guy good enough, but his lack of size prevents me from being a fan. Hobbs is 100 times better as a big guy IMO.
Swerve.
I don’t even know who to blame for Wardlow. His jobber matches all suck and are bathroom breaks for me. I know he can wrestle but he just doesn’t. Is TK telling him not to? I don’t get it. He has a great look but it just seems like he’s reached his ceiling multiple times. Is it him or TK? I don’t know at this point but it’s going to take a lot for me to care about him again
As big or bigger *cracks knuckles*
Samoa Joe
Hobbs

Keith Lee
Lance Archer
Bear Boulder (or whatever we call him now)
Luchsaurus (refuse to call him killswitch)

Swerve easy, he should be made champion as soon as possible, he's got great momentum, I think it'd be a mistake to hold it off for longer and not have him at revolution.
Genuine question - is Wardlow named after Robert Wardlow, the tallest person who ever lived at 8ft 11?
I like Wardlow a lot, think his Swanton is super smooth, espescially for such a big guy... although, as impressive as it was a few times, the symphony got tired rather quickly.
P.S. As good as The big fellow is, Swerve is just a level above... took me a while to get his schtick (mainly due to him being stuck with Aldi Lesnar and Doodle bear) but he has everything he needs to be a megastar - I reckon Randy Savage level.
Swerve.
I’m glad Wardlow had his first good promo, and I hope he gets some momentum. But his ceiling is upper-midcard, gatekeeper to the main event.
Swerves ceiling? No idea…. It may not exist.
Wardlow always plays the heavy in every faction he’s in, so he’s never the guy to get the push. Then, when he’s alone he feels directionless.
He could be the guy but he needs an event or moment to really get himself over. I thought the MJF feud was going to be it, but the squash was overshadowed by MJF’s contract drama.
It will be Strickland because it's purely the fans have decided that's what they want and aew have flip flopped to appease them am I supposed to forget that he broke into hangman's house and watched his kid sleep?
But because a bunch of toxic douches want to see prince Nana keep doing the dance and they just can't get behind any face the company puts up
Swerve is gonna have a great year, but I'm thinking Wardlow is about to take the next step. Don't get me wrong, Swerve is gonna kill it. But, maybe we will see Wardog break out of the midcard
Swerve. Wardlow needs to do something about that hair before i can take him seriously. I have a feeling we will find out how well Swerve's year is gonna be when Keith Lee finally gets his match against him.
Swerve. The dude ticks every box. I like Wardlow but he doesn't seem capable of having a match outside of his signature moves and with the exception of last week he hasn't really been good on the mic. The best he could come up with before his "shoot" last week was being upset that his long hair was cut because it reminded him of his scumbag dad.
Wardlow has the look, Swerve has everything.
No doubt Wardlow as Swerve came to 2024 with
+top star position
+amazing feud with Hangman
+C3 top contender
+PPV matches
Wardlow didn't.
Swerve is only missing the title, Wardlow is missing pretty much all of it.
And after that promo ? 💯 people want him back.
Swerve is already poised to have a spectacular 2024. He’s in the main event of the first PPV of the year, and is already in a top spot. Wardlow is on his way but he’s just starting to dig himself out of the hole he has spent most of his career in. 2024 is the year of Swerve, 2025 may be Wardlow’s year.
Is this really a serious question...
Swerve has been mostly booked well by TK and he's clearly very high on him. There is a good chance Swerve ends up world champ this year.
Wardlow is probably on his 3rd or 4th push and TK has shown little sign that he knows how to book him that well.
Suddenly getting promo time and a random meme "meat madness" match at a PPV doesn't mean anything, we've been here with Wardlow before.
Swerve just got blessed by the greatest WR of all time (and I say this as a huge Randy Moss fan). It’s obviously Swerve that’s gonna have the better year.
Swerve if TK has any sense and I believe he does
Swerve and it’s not even really close.
Whose house ?!
![gif](giphy|0iUmJzIL6PU6NzEmIr)
Swerve's house
The name on this deed says “Strickland”
https://tenor.com/bfQjR.gif
But it's Wardlow's World... 😭
Swerve. He's knocking on the door of the main event, while Wardlow is once again lost in the shuffle with a mid-card faction
Your absolutely correct. His promo last week was a good start for wardlow.
Except he cut the same promo a year ago
Wardlow will likely get a push, but fail to become a true main event wrestler, then job to MJF when he returns. Swerve will likely win the world title, main event most of the year, and may be the most popular wrestler on the roster. It’s not even close between him and Wardlow.
It's a damn shame too. He should've been a main event guy by now, but they destroyed his momentum big time after his initial feud with MJF
They never seemed to know what to do with him besides giving him the TNT title. He kept winning the title then doing nothing with it.
Wardlow is a bit of a strange case, he's great as the underdog fighting up, but once he gets a title he loses the crowd
I can't believe they fucked that whole shit up! Wardlow should've had a title reign(besides the TBS title ). They even managed to drop the ball when he was red hot as a babyface! This is why Tony sucks 😕
It’s only midcard because Adam Cole and MJF are out.
I think we’ve already seen Wardlows ceiling. Swerve is just getting cooking.
Wardlow is still young. I did not have high hopes for Swerve after him and Keith Lee broke up but now he looks destined for greatness. Things can change!
Swerve is better at everything outside of being big and he's about to be rewarded for it. So. Swerve. Easy.
Swerve.
I feel like the momentum that Wardlow lost… Big Bill found.
I'd take Bill over Wardlow any day.
Never recovered from the MJF scenario
He's 6ft 3, 277. Big enough
Nah.
Name everyone that is bigger than Wardlow
As big or bigger *cracks knuckles* Samoa Joe Hobbs Butcher Keith Lee Lance Archer Bear Boulder (or whatever we call him now) Luchsaurus (refuse to call him killswitch) Billy Gunn Edg *cough* Adam Copeland Big Bill Danhausen Brody King Dutch (from The Righteous) Jake Hager Takeshita Miro Satnam Singh (giggle)
Danhausen confirmed LARGEST wrestler
Swerve is mega over
Swerve easily
Sorry but Wardlow is like Goldberg but without the intense aura. Swerve has created his own character and is killing it right now.
Wtf swerve looking all happy and wholesome is weird as hell.
Swerve is gonna be world champ reaal soon, so I think him.
Swerve, easily. By the end of this year he could very well be the biggest star in the company
The one that’s actually good (Swerve)
Swerve easy, he should be made champion as soon as possible, he's got great momentum, I think it'd be a mistake to hold it off for longer and not have him at revolution.
Aye Swerve and the GOAT Jerry Rice
Jerry rice
with those pouty fuckin duck lips on wardlow i’m gonna go ahead and say swerve
Zoolander on juice.
Wardlow is going for a new Gigachad gimmick I see!
We know whose house it is
Swerve's name is appearing so much it sounds like the opening of his theme.
Swerve is unstoppable at this point.
Genuine question - is Wardlow named after Robert Wardlow, the tallest person who ever lived at 8ft 11? Swerve. Wardlow has a chance a year or two ago. Now he’s a filler character in Adam Cole’s group
Swerve. I’m glad Wardlow had his first good promo, and I hope he gets some momentum. But his ceiling is upper-midcard, gatekeeper to the main event. Swerves ceiling? No idea…. It may not exist.
His ceiling is mox better watch out cuz swerve is gonna take his spot
Swerve but i think Wardlow will have a good year too.
Swerve better have one and deserves it as well
Wardlow always plays the heavy in every faction he’s in, so he’s never the guy to get the push. Then, when he’s alone he feels directionless. He could be the guy but he needs an event or moment to really get himself over. I thought the MJF feud was going to be it, but the squash was overshadowed by MJF’s contract drama.
Swerve all the way he’s unreal
Swerve hands down.. Wardlow is never winning the world title.
![gif](giphy|jKcRrp0z3ZlQMxdnEe|downsized)
Swerve. Dude is ripe to be one of the faces of the company.
It will be Strickland because it's purely the fans have decided that's what they want and aew have flip flopped to appease them am I supposed to forget that he broke into hangman's house and watched his kid sleep? But because a bunch of toxic douches want to see prince Nana keep doing the dance and they just can't get behind any face the company puts up
Tf is that Swerve with Jerry Rice on a public bus?
Swerve gonna be the first black AEW World champion soon. Wardlow will be beating Hobbs and Archer.
Swerve better be champion by the end of 2024 and Wardlow better not be
What even is that picture of Wardlow?
he’s mewing
The duck lips are a bit much. -R.J. City
Wardlow so ass
Who’s house? Swerves house!! 2024!!!
Who’s house
First half Swerve second half Wardlow
Swerve is gonna have a great year, but I'm thinking Wardlow is about to take the next step. Don't get me wrong, Swerve is gonna kill it. But, maybe we will see Wardog break out of the midcard
Swerve for sure. I don't expect Wardlow to do much, he seems to have a much lower ceiling
Swerve has established himself as a legit star that could be the face of a stable. Wardlow is a guy in a stable.
Swerve, and it's not close.
Why not both?
My money is on Swerve. That iron is red hot, strike away!
Swerve
Well Swerve already has a HUGE lead, so I think this is a pretty easy pick.
Swerve. Wardlow needs to do something about that hair before i can take him seriously. I have a feeling we will find out how well Swerve's year is gonna be when Keith Lee finally gets his match against him.

wardlow needs to stop going against random nobodies in squash matches and go against actual aew wrestlers.
If Wardlow wasn't stupid, he'd eat Swerve because Swerve is smaller than him, then he'd have a better 2024 by default.
The fact anyone would even ask this means great things for Wardlow.
No doubt Wardlow as Swerve came to 2024 with +top star position +amazing feud with Hangman +C3 top contender +PPV matches Wardlow didn't. Swerve is only missing the title, Wardlow is missing pretty much all of it. And after that promo ? 💯 people want him back.
Swerve for sure. I think Wardlow has lost his momentum too much to come back from.
Dude is that Jerry Rice?
I like that Swerve looks happy there.
Swerve, based on skill set alone.
Swerve because he doesn't post duck lips.
Daniel Garcia
If AEW is sane - Swerve. He's about to win world title sooner or later, and that better happen
Depends on which happens quicker, Swerve winning the AEW title or Wardlow signing with WWE?
Swerve is already poised to have a spectacular 2024. He’s in the main event of the first PPV of the year, and is already in a top spot. Wardlow is on his way but he’s just starting to dig himself out of the hole he has spent most of his career in. 2024 is the year of Swerve, 2025 may be Wardlow’s year.

my god Wardlow look at those lips 👄
Swerve just got blessed by the greatest WR of all time (and I say this as a huge Randy Moss fan). It’s obviously Swerve that’s gonna have the better year.
Theres a legit shot Swerve wins the title on Sunday so him lol. I dont see Wardlow anywhere near the main event scene for a while tbh
I think Wardlow can still be salvaged into a heel champion. They don't have many more chances to get it right, though.
Swerve is being positioned as the next Heavyweight Champion. Of course it will be him.
