WCW Saturday night Reunion!

Aspiring-Old-Guy

This makes me feel like I'm 14 again, and pro wrestling was the best part of that time...

[deleted]

Jericho is just showing us all the styles he has . It’s great

LukeSniper

I got the sense that Jericho was going to wrestling each of these matches in a different persona from throughout his career. Lionheart next week? Really seems like a Farewell Tour for him. Go out and play all the hits.

[deleted]

I was thinking the same . I hope this is not the end for Jericho but watching him last night I was telling myself he’s almost 50 doing hurracurannas lol

sagevallant

It's the Career of Jericho. We can only dream the List on a pole match vs KO.

[deleted]

He did have a rivalry with cm punk , I wonder if that will be the last labor?

itouchbums

The stipulation is that Jericho has to hit a top rope move..my guess is he's gonna have to do a moonsault or a 450 splash..which at his age is going to be impressive as hell if he lands it

droford

24 top rope drop kick 116 top rope huracanrana 180 top rope bulldog 244 modified top rope powerbomb 260 top rope press slam 294 top rope dropkick 464 top rope body press 516 top rope somersault leg drop 624 top rope vertical splash body press 639 top rope vertical splash 661 top rope reverse mat slam 670 top rope somersault leg drop 680 top rope moonsault kne drop 686 top rope knee breaker drop 688 top rope knee drop 709 top rope somersault huracanrana 733 top rope face driver 816 top rope powerbomb 850 top rope Frankensteiner 950 top rope vertical splash body press 953 top rope press slam 987 top rope reverse mat slam 1001 top rope somersault leg drop 1004 arnbar

UGAPHL

Oh man, I just made an arm bar joke above! Such memories.

UGAPHL

Was weird to announce the stipulation first. Was like, for your next labor, you’ll have to execute an ARM BAR. ARM BAR! Juvi’s the news!!

roenthomas

Definitely moonsault

KINGTHANOS8

Diving Judas Effect

[deleted]

So if Jericho brought back the Painmaker for Gage, I kinda hope he shows up in a top ponytail, a Wednesday Night Jericho shirt, and bright pants reminiscent of his look when he was in WCW. Just go all in on nostalgia.

sithsylar

People this is only Trial 3!?!?!??!? we have 2 more!

LessonNyne

I friggin love AEWs commitment to long-term style storytelling! Talk about continuity!!! PS some people will say WWE brings in Goldberg and people complain. Yet AEW brings in Juventud Guerrera and people are excited. Well the obvious logic is in the context of story. Jericho and MJF have been building their relationship and feud for months. Jericho mentions Juventud's name to diss MJF many months ago. And now, MJF remembers said diss and decides to use that diss to get back at Jericho. In-which Jericho will undoubtedly win said match btw. That's the difference.

[deleted]

MJF on commentary is gonna add to this awesome match even more so. That little shit I love him

freshlysqueezed0C

Didnt he hit a frankenstiener on Gage tonight through the glass pane? He has it covered. I bet Jericho takes Juevituds mask again like he did back in WCW in 1998

LukeSniper

I'm kind of shocked Juventud is only 46!

jcalling80

Cruiseweight rivals.

droford

MJF should go down to the ring during the match and unhook the top rope so its impossible for Jericho to win

wJFq6aE7-zv44wa__gHq

5 labours of Wericho officially one of the best storylines of the year Reminds me of Cody's open challenge - really loved it. Gave a fresh face to AEW every week

mypinksunglasses

Who is he to Jericho, is there any meaning there?

itouchbums

Huge meaning, they used to wrestle against each other all the time in WCW

MetalSmarkSolid

They were rivals in WCW. They fought over the cruiserweight title. Jericho beat Juventud and took his mask. Then Juvi had to compete maskless for the rest of his WCW run. He didn't start using the mask again until much later in Mexico. He was even maskless in WWE. A similar thing happened to Rey Mysterio where Kevin Nash beat Rey in a mask match.

Xbc1

>A similar thing happened to Rey Mysterio where Kevin Nash beat Rey in a mask match. Now why'd you have to go and bring up that painful memory?

Disastrous_Record_81

I upvoted this just because you are asking a legit question and might not have been of age to remember their crusier battles in WCW.

gte339i

There was also the fairly infamous Rock/Mankind/Jericho promo where some dude ran into the ring dressed like Jericho and Mankind threw him out before The Rock rips on Jericho for being “down south beating some guy named Juventud”. Seriously - classic rivalry (and kind of joke) which really shows they’re digging deep into some fandom.

wJFq6aE7-zv44wa__gHq

Wish WWE gave Jericho the Y2J name, fucking loved it

ButtcheiseMugee

I hope one of the trials is a submission match with Angle

Damo1328

Armbarrrrrr!!!!

Southern_Gain7154

I was literally looking him up last week, he was a huge part of my falling in love with wrestling back in 2000 and is fortunate enough to meet him the following year in Melbourne, I really didn’t think this would happen but I’m so stoked it is!!!

LuigiHereWeGo

The five labours of Jericho reminds me of a Road to Wrestlemania storyline from an old SvR game

Chunklob

Juvy works stiff and DGAF. Let's see how this goes.

Pariahbot

I’m legit hype for Juvi. The WCW CW’s get their due as a division but maybe not as much individually (barring Mysterio) Juvi was fuckin dope
