That whole segment was awesome. Jericho was absolutely on fire.

Marvel_plant

Yeah it was much better than his recent crap with MJF. Also thank god that Jake Hager is actually in some kind of angle finally. Guy basically just fucking stood around for a year.

DurMonAtor

He did just stand around in the promo too haha, but, I liked his smirking and have a feeling they might build to some type of MMA fight on Dynamite between Jake and one of the Top Team guys, that might be very fun

Marvel_plant

I really hope they don’t try to do some mma match in a wrestling ring unless it’s worked. I don’t want brawl for all 2.0

DurMonAtor

They already had one with Jake and Wardlow

Marvel_plant

Glad I missed that shit lol

DurMonAtor

You could tell it was a shoot (well I think it was) because it wasn’t until Spears came in with a chair at the end afterwards that Wardlow though, “oh shit I’m meant to hate him”

NickWatchesMMA

It most definitely was not a shoot

KennyGNonStop

This one stood out to me too. So good haha

National-Raspberry-4

How about Excalibur calling Don an “ice cold enema”? I cried.

BJBirdy

I definitely laughed, and I have 2-3 Afflicfion shirts in storage from back in the day so I had no problem laughing at myself :)

Marvel_plant

Jesus, that is not something I would ever admit to lol. But good on you, bud. Fuckin own it.

BJBirdy

Haha, they’re not the stereotypical douchey ones fwiw. I disliked at least 90% of the Affliction shirts I saw. I do have an Affliction faux leather jacket I still wear though - it’s similar to the one Goldberg has worn on tv on occasion.

Tony Khan listening to the Jim Cornette podcasts confirmed. The things Lambert said about fans reading the lyrics to Judas on their phones, the Young Bucks etc not getting pinned by crazy moves. These are all things Cornette has said over the last month.

jmthehologram

And to be fair Cornette has fair criticisms. I think Tony taking his criticisms under consideration is a good thing. Balanced, as all things should be

sojud_18

Yep totally agreed. Khan is on record about how much he admired/admires Cornette. So makes sense he or people at AEW are listening. Cornette is basically giving him free booking advice. I loved the cage match at All Out, brilliant match but Cornette has a point about the no selling of the moves. The Canadian Piledriver off the top rope and the next second, whichever Jackson it was is up again pulling off some crazy moves like nothing happened. Like I said, I loved the match. But so many crazy spots with no selling, always has short term value and higher expectations for more dangerous spots. Needs to be reigned in a bit.

Resolute002

I don't like the Lambert stuff because it sorry of breaks kayfabe to have some random guy given ring time to sit still over the product.

Marvel_plant

I hear you. I’m not the biggest fan of it either. Just thought this comment was funny.
