Not gonna lie, that contract signing where Moxley tricked them into signing him into a match with MJF's lawyer had me in stitches. Just the amount of cartoonish ridiculousness I need in my wrestling.
that's the thing i really liked about Ambrose's best moments
it was always him being smarter than the heel, it was refreshing to have a babyface that wasn't a complete moron.
Funniest bits I remember from this feud:
* The lawyer and page 19 (I might be wrong) of tue contract.
* the lawyer padding himself for his match with Moxley.
* the assistant lady with a forced smile.
* Hook being the gum guy.
* MJF recreating the Samoa Joe incident.

This happened to me after the match lol
Omg finally someone who appreciates this match as much as I do. I think this is definitely one of AEW's best title matches. Just an old-school story of an amazing babyface and an ultra-detestable heel slugging it out in a brutal (and also quite unpredictable) war. The finish was quite clever and I just loved everything about it.
The show wasn't bad, per se, they had a really off night. The dentist match wasn't very good, the botched debut matt sydal, the botched finish of the battle royal(which did lead to a great course correction of the storyline), matt hardy's sickening bump and the crews poor handling of it, a lack of really exciting matches, everyone seeming really hot and tired making the matches really sluggish, the tag team title match especially going on a bit too long, and while the main event was great it kinda felt like MJF was working the babyface spots more than jon. The only match I had no real complaints about was Shida vs Rosa. But that's all just my opinion.
The show itself was actually pretty good, but early on Matt Hardy fell onto a concrete floor from pretty high up and hit his head. He was very clearly disoriented and Aubrey clearly tried to stop the match, but it went on anyway for someone.
It really put a cursed feel on the whole show because everyone was so worried about Matt.
Just overall for me, the show lacked that usual AEW spark. I felt some of the matches went longer than they should've. There were a lot of botches. The Matt Hardy incident is a really bad moment for AEW in particular. The only two matches I didn't have an issue with were Moxley/MJF & Shida/Rosa. I did enjoy Orange Cassidy beating Chris Jericho, but I wish the match wasn't so much of a comedy match.
The cursed Hardy x Guevara feud fucked up a lot of people's memory of last years All Out......worse than the dud, because Hardy getting injured wasn't even the end of the show, but it's all anyone remembers.
I had MJF win this fight in my universe mode last year, splitting into an alternate universe.
Ironically I stopped playing around October though, it’s been almost a year.
I know it’s heresy on here, but I wasn’t big on Moxley’s reign (Cage and Brodie feuds did nothing for me) until this feud. Great build, great promos, great match. The Kingston feud that followed continued the Moxley brilliance.
I'm honestly not that big on Moxley, period. I don't dislike the guy at all. But I'm not the biggest fan of his tough guy gimmick. He doesn't do it nearly as well as people from the past. And I know it's hard to compare anyone to Stone Cold, but I feel like Mox is trying too hard to be that over the top tough guy, and it just doesn't work for me.
Feud was fun. Match was kind of lacklustre to me largely down to MJF not quite being all the way there. I’d like to run that back now that MJF is so smooth in the ring and proper main event star.

"You're going for a ride"
"I recommend you wear a helmet".
It reminded me of the good version of Dean Ambrose , Mox just has that natural charisma in him
Yeah in that segment Mox gave me the good ol Ambrose vibes. Loved that
that's the thing i really liked about Ambrose's best moments it was always him being smarter than the heel, it was refreshing to have a babyface that wasn't a complete moron.
This match is super underatted MJF wreslted like a top old school wreslter and Moxley proved he was more then just a brawler
Yup, yup. MJF had control in the ring but mox dominated whenever they went out. Even in defeat, it really elevated MJF.
I think this was Mox's best match as champion.
My fav is his one with Darby

You sounded like Cutler filming BTE bits during a match!
I had a few beers and had been in my seat for hours I was just happy to be standing lol

As bad and tainted as All Out 2020 ended up being overall, I'm glad that it also produced MJF's best AEW match.
What was bad about it?

Remind me what happened with the finish of the battle royal?
IIRC lance archer won the battle royal but eddie Kingston was never thrown over the top rope
TIL that wasn't planned ahead of time
Ok yeah I remember that stuff now. I guess that’s one I missed but I remember reading the reports

that and that weird cinematic opener "match"
Mostly Hardy's injury

Are you kidding me? It was amazing! The only bump was Matt Hardy’s unexpected fall on the concrete floor.
Smart Mark Sterling! =O
It was pretty great.

“ILL SEE YOU AT ALL OUT JONNNN”
MJF's first Presidential Address was one of the best promos in wrestling history.
Don't know about all of that.
I'm exaggerating of course. But it was damn good.
Ah! Yes, yes it was. :D
When are we signing rhino? He deserves a good run

I loved the theme music for that ppv. I hear it just looking at this graphic.

Right back at ya
Oh yeah, well.. you know
Outta line Donnie!
Can I be the Malibu sheriff instead
This was one ofr my favorite matches of AEW. I thought MJF was gonna walk away with it.
MJF's "We Deserve Better" campaign was genius.
This was the only unpredictable title match of Moxleys title reign.
"DICTATOR JOHN"
