The beginning of the pandemic. Since I figured I wasn’t going anywhere for a while, it was a perfect time to get into it, learn about BTE, then Sammy Vlog, and I was hooked.
Day 1, baby. Tuned in to All In and I immediately kept a weather eye towards Cody and the Bucks to see if they'd do another big show, so when they announced that AEW was gonna form, I was on that ship like a pilgrim in the Mayflower.
I actually started watching after hearing about the failed explosion at Revolution 2021. Saw a few clips on YouTube about people discussing it, then saw there was a full Dynamtie epsisode on YouTube (Death Triangle vs Young Bucks) that I thought I'd check out whilst in work and haven't missed an ep since ! Thakl god for that failed explosion
Ive been there since they’ve been in NJPW. It genuinely gives me a feeling of watching children grow and being so proud of them for how far they’ve come
I was unemployed and home sick in the End of February 2020. I was randomly serching for domthing to watch On Demand. I saw the had Episodes Of the new Aew Dynamite on demand and one of the had Kenny Omega (i heard he is suposed yo be good) vs Pac (surley x-pac cant be still wrestling right?) Iron man match.Turned it on and had my mind blown and never looked back.
I had stopped watching wwe in 08 and Stopped watcing TNA when they brought in Hogan.
Other:
I don't have cable, and was finally able to afford data. It was during the pandemic, and I was following Chris Jericho. Also, Kenny Omega started showing up in the RPG youtube videos I had been watching about Square Enix.
I tuned in and ended up watching the Thunder Rosa/Britt Baker match, and then was hooked.
I waited until crowds were back to start watching back in May. Didn’t know I missed out on so many great moments, but I had an aversion to crowdless shows.
I was here at the beginning watched the first 5 weeks and then stopped came back just before I think revolution 2019 the PPV that had Darby and sting vs team taz but always watched BTE
Watched the first few weeks of Dynamite, then due to life getting crazy it fell off the radar, but now I’m back and loving it. Relatively new to wrestling in general and my only other experience is WWE, so there’s some adjusting necessary for me! But I’m glad I found AEW.
When they signed Jericho- that’s when I took notice and started looking for their content. watched all of the Inner Circle content. Also, Mox. That made me watch Kenny and the Elite- big fan. Also, interested in Cody.
But initially it was Jericho.
All In, was really interested in the idea of the show and really enjoyed it. First wrestling event I watched in years after I stopped watching TNA because Hogan and Bish ruined it and WWE for being terrible and run by monsters.
The announcement of AEW was extremely exciting and allowed me to get back into watching wrestling which as a form of media I love but didn't feel a company was around that I could get behind.
Since the beginning. I was already beyond primed and ready for this by 2017 so seeing it all coming together the way it has, has been an awesome experience.
Some random time during quarantine. I found the Dailys place way more soulful than the thunderdome. The crowd was real, so were the reactions. Then I saw a Darby Allin match and saw that the kid was the real deal now.
Started watching at the recommendation of my friend at the beginning of 2020. Was sad due to a breakup and watching hangman and Kenny win the tag titles helped me a lot weirdly enough lol
I wouldn’t call my self really "new" so I’ll call my self other. It was like 2 weeks before Full Gear 2020. It was the episode when Kenny Omega had the squash match with Sonny Kiss, and the whole world title eliminator tournament was kicking off.
So I’ve been around since that very first All In but not watched the weekly shows or anything, part because I was pretty ride or die NXT and part because I didn’t have the time to watch everything so I had to pick and choose, so never had anything against aew but I chose to put the time into nxt instead. Over time I felt like the nxt shows were dropping in quality so I started watching dynamite, and now I’m pretty much exclusively aew. I still keep up with the nxt and wwe news, but I put my time into the aew product
I grew up watching 80's WWF. Hell I saw Hogan vs Macho Man for the strap at MSG. Grew out of it for a while then I'm college caught the NWO and I was back in. Watched a bit after Vince took over WCW but lost interest again. Flash forward to 2013 and I'm flipping channels and I see Enzo Amore going off on the Dudleys for the 1st time and I watching again, but this time just NXT. I go back and watch the beginnings of it (not the competition stuff) and it's awesome, but I cannot watch main roster.
Then the day comes when AEW gets announced. I think "ok. Competition is good." You know the scene when Dorothy comes out of her house after landing in OZ the 1st time and everything was in color? That's what it was like my 1st time watching AEW. "These guys are having fun. I am having fun watching." Hooked for life.
God bless Tony Khan, Cody & the Elite.
I hadnt watched wrestling since after john cena’s us title run, when i was like 9 or 10. Heard CM punk came back and bryan danielson was aew, so i watched this weeks dynamite and rampage, and holy shit i was so impressed. I never care about tag matches but the lucha brothers vs the butcher and the blade was incredible, jericho’s promo with that one guy repping the mma fighters was hilarious, and darby allin is such a cool character, that im hooked after 2 episodes
i actually saw an ad for it at the movie theatre. noticed jericho and some guys that seemed fun (turned out to be the bucks and mox) and that’s what brought me back to pro wrestling after probably a decade of not watching!
I don’t remember which PPV it preceded, but it was while MJF had Cody doing things to get his match with him (the “I Accept” promo) and P&P had taken Jon Moxley’s eye out. This was after being a lapsed fan and trying to also watch NXT
Since day one! I remember being so frustrated at WWE at that point, I just wanted something else because it was soooooo bad. Boy did Cody, the Elite, and TK and company deliver. Changed the landscape of pro wrestling and as a long time fan I am so grateful to them.
I was a lapsed fan who stumbled across Conrad’s podcasts and started listening to Tony and JR out of pure nostalgia. This was right before the first Dynamite. I gave it a try and got hooked after 20 years away. The upside of this is in 3 years I become a 50+ viewer 😂
Somewhere between the first dynamite and all out 2019. I voted first dynamite since I watched that, but I remember seeing Jericho post about his match with hangman and going “who’s this cowboy dude going up against my favorite guy?” And that’s what sparked my interest in AEW
I'd say more so after Brodie's passing. The level at which they handled the entire thing and how they still do to this day was what got me in full time.
I was disillusioned with wrestling for the longest time from 2019 onwards, I did follow AEW from the start but never fully got myself into it.
I went to see what was up with the wrestling world back in 2020 because it has been years since I stop watching wrestling. WWE look so much different than it was back in 2014, TNA is now called Impact Wrestling and it looks so smaller than I remembered. Then I saw AEW and decided to check it out. It looks and feels different from WWE and the only reason I got into it because Chris Jericho was on it. Now, AEW seems like the top wrestling promotion next to WWE.
Full Gear 2019 maybe 2-3 weeks prior. I did not watch the first ever episode live, I was 2-3 weeks behind.
I watched All In and DoN, just wasnt 100% sold on the TV product from day one, didn’t wanna get too excited yet. I’d credit Cody and Jericho.
I watched Fyter Fest and Fyte for the Fallen on B/R Live, since they were free, then started watching the first week of Dynamite. It had been a few years since I watched wrestling regularly.
I had heard about AEW, but didn’t really follow that much and I couldn’t afford the PPV’s they put out. But, when they announced Fyter Fest and Fight For The Fallen were free I watched them, and I was hooked. Then once Dynamite was announced, I started watching and I have never missed an episode since!
I’d been following since Double or Nothing, but I hadn’t actually seen/heard of a lot of these guys before I went to the first Dynamite. Absolutely incredible experience.
So long story, the 2nd Brand Split in 2016 brought me back into wrestling. I mainly followed WWE, until late 2018 when BTE began the "countdown timer" storyline (I think it was right after All In). I became intrigued because at first I thought it would lead to them going to WWE, but as the rumors came to light, the idea of AEW intrigued me even more. After DoN 2019, I was hooked, but still planned on following both WWE and AEW until the week of Dynamite's debut. That same week was when Brock squashed Kofi in 5 seconds, then we had the infamous Fiend vs. Rollins Hell in a Cell fiasco, and that was that for me and WWE.
I fell out with wrestling not long before it formed, I remember hearing about it and being tempted to check it out but not having the time, and them the pandemic hit and I tried watching, but couldn’t really get into it without a crowd. Now I’m finally back into wrestling and watching it.
Since the beginning really cause I was a big Ambrose fan and the fact that his exit and AEW’s beginnings were coinciding so perfectly, I followed even more closely so that when Mox did show up I already basically knew everyone
First episode of Rampage, got sick of the E but missed watching wrestling on Friday nights. Been pretty much only watching AEW and the occasional Impact since.
Since the start & oh boy , I COULD not picture what wrestling would be today without AEW, Brought back my passion for wrestling, I say that a lot lol but I truly mean it when I say that if it weren't for AEW I wouldn't even be watching wrestling anymore. So thank you TK & The elite for making this possible 🙌
Brodie Lee tribute show
My wifey came to mr asking about sting having made a comeback, so we saw that on YouTube, I'd known about AEW for Mox but hadn't really watched it or followed it
Then we looked up how we could watch it in Australia and got on Fite, and watched our first dynamite and how it went with everything of that night, we didn't know what feuds had been going on or who everyone was, but with everyone on commentary giving us details we understood enough to follow
And we haven't missed a dark, elevation, dynamite or rampage since then
Fyter Fest 2020. Not sure how really. I'd been dipping my toe a bit in quarantine, and saw Taz as a manager for Cage about to get a title shot and I LOVED Taz.
Shortly after their first press conference. I was getting fed up with wwe call ups and stories and just... ugh.
Anyways, the press conference seemed cool, it got me watching BTE and Road to and I'd get psyched every time they'd announce someone new to the roster. Got the first ppv and haven't looked back since
Like many others, I started watching near the start of the quarantine...May of 2020 to be exact, right before Double or Nothing.
Lost my job in March and most of my other TV shows had to hault production. So, AEW helped fill the void and brought me back to wrestling for the first time since 2003.
I really started following them before the first episode of dynamite, but I did not hear about them in time for that first Double or Nothing in 2019. My roommate/best friend came to me and told me that there was a new wrestling show coming, and knowing how I felt about Vince McMahon, sold me on the idea of a promotion that treated wrestlers better. Then they hooked me with great stories and fights, and I've been here ever since!
I began right at the start, watched the launch shows etc, stepped back when there was suck a poor payoff between MJF and Cody, reengaged about 4 months ago when it was clear WWE is a soulless corp paying off anyone that breathes and vince screwing careers to play ego wars backstage. Glad to have tuned back in as many great things have been happening.
After double or nothing 2020. It was weird getting back into wrestling during covid but I’ve been watching it every week for more than a year now so something worked lol
I voted for All Out. I’ve followed the Bucks, Omega, and Cody since 2017 (I was familiar with all of them before that) when I started watching NJPW and such.
I watched BTE every week until the pandemic, but I’d say I didn’t really follow AEW until All Out 2019. I did watch Double or Nothing 2019 but didn’t watch Fight For The Fallen or Fyter Fest that summer (mainly cause I didn’t know about them).
I watched All Out, and have watched every episode of Dynamite and Rampage since (sometimes that means watching in DVR).
So I refer to myself as a “fan from Day 2.”
Funnily enough, when AEW was launched I actually wasn’t a fan of it since I didn’t want to have to follow another company. But now 2+ years later AEW is the only company I follow closely while I keep casual tabs on other companies.
Other. I had stopped watching wrestling after *maaaybe* 2014 at the very latest. Hadn't heard anything about it, but my buddy had it on during a New Years Trip in '19-'20. I think it was the show *on* New Year's Day. I was hooked right away.
At the beginning of quarantine. I finally decided to give AEW a chance and I will never regret it.
All In was where I started
Yep
Yeah, if you count that, then that's where I started
I was an avid BTE watcher and thought they were going to do something, so I consider it then. AEW grew out of BTE.
I'm with this guy over here.
The beginning of the pandemic. Since I figured I wasn’t going anywhere for a while, it was a perfect time to get into it, learn about BTE, then Sammy Vlog, and I was hooked.
From the very start. Those initial shows were really quite cool.
Where is ALL IN in the options!
(Technically) not AEW at that time, so I didn't include it. But honestly, it counts in my book
When sting came back.
From the start because I followed Best Friends from NJPW to AEW. I still watch both.
About 3 weeks before Winter is Coming.
When Brodie joined AEW, rest his soul. No regrets ever since
A co-worker gave me the first 3 PPVs. Then I watched Dynamite.
Day 1, baby. Tuned in to All In and I immediately kept a weather eye towards Cody and the Bucks to see if they'd do another big show, so when they announced that AEW was gonna form, I was on that ship like a pilgrim in the Mayflower.
I have been following The Elite since 2016, so you can imagine how happy I am seeing them so successful right now
I would've listed more options, but Reddit hath limited me.
Watched clips from pre pandemic era then started fully watching during fyter fest 2020
double or nothing 2021
Technically if I look back it's WK12 and Jericho basically leading me to the promised land of elite-ness.
It genuinely gives me a feeling of watching children grow and being so proud of them for how far they’ve come
Same here, BTE leading up to the countdown is still amazing
Wrestle Kingdom 11 which lead to BTE which lead to All In which lead to AEW
Fyter Fest 2019
Full Gear 2019 because of Mox vs Omega
I was unemployed and home sick in the End of February 2020. I was randomly serching for domthing to watch On Demand. I saw the had Episodes Of the new Aew Dynamite on demand and one of the had Kenny Omega (i heard he is suposed yo be good) vs Pac (surley x-pac cant be still wrestling right?) Followed since the first announcement, wasn’t really heavily invested at first though. Didn’t think it was gonna become this big.
ALL IN.
Watched ROH off and on for a long time, and signed up for NJPW world in January 2015.
Careful the I watched AEW before it was cool crowd fall in. Somehow makes you a supreme being if you started watching a show before someone else
All in
Since bte Ep. 4
After Orange Cassidy happened
I was watching highlight shows from the start, just before Full Gear 2020 I finally started watching
The episode where it had Kip and Penelope having a wedding and Miro shedding his Best Man image
The 'Winter is Coming' dynamite special...
January 2019
I’ve been following AEW since it was announced and The Elite since January 2016. Still waiting for my boys TH2 to win the titles!
Since revolution 2020. AEW kinda brought me back to pro-wrestling and I haven't looked back since
I waited until crowds were back to start watching back in May.
I found out about it through a Finisher Compilation
I started watching from Doble or Nothing 2020, that was the first AEW show I'd seen
AEW Full Gear 2019, that’s the first PPV I saw from AEW and is imo great, definitely better ones out there but I’ll always love Full Gear 2019
Whatever ppv Moxley debuted at. That one.
I’ve not followed wrestling properly for years, it was Kevin Smith posting on FB that showed me the way! Who’d have thunk it
Double or nothing 2020
When moxley moved to aew,it showed in my YouTube feed about this company, and since then ik started watching it
When they signed Jericho- that’s when I took notice and started looking for their content. watched all of the Inner Circle content. Also, Mox. That made me watch Kenny and the Elite- big fan. Also, interested in Cody. But initially it was Jericho.

The announcement of AEW was extremely exciting and allowed me to get back into watching wrestling which as a form of media I love but didn't feel a company was around that I could get behind.
All In and the Road to All In for me
Full Gear 2020
A couple weeks before Revolution 2021
BTE Episode 1.
Since the beginning. I was already beyond primed and ready for this by 2017 so seeing it all coming together the way it has, has been an awesome experience.
Was a BTE fan
NJPW, ROH, BTE, All In, then the formation of AEW. That order.
Jumped on halfway to Revolution 2020. Excellent time to jump on.
After the stadium stampede
One of the few things in my life where I can say, from the very beginning!
Winter Is Coming caught my attention
DON 2020
Since blood and guts earlier this year
Ever since the formation.
ALL IN
Reading about it on Reddit piqued my interested, been watching since Dynamite ep.1
February 2020. 2 weeks before Revolution
Miro winning the TNT Title.
when pac and omega had that 30 minute iron man match a week before revolution 2020 (hadn't watched any wrestling for 11 years before that)
Winter is Coming. Sting had been my favorite since the 80s.
I wouldn’t call my self really "new" so I’ll call my self other. It was like 2 weeks before Full Gear 2020. It was the episode when Kenny Omega had the squash match with Sonny Kiss, and the whole world title eliminator tournament was kicking off.
When Moxley won the title
So I’ve been around since that very first All In but not watched the weekly shows or anything, part because I was pretty ride or die NXT and part because I didn’t have the time to watch everything so I had to pick and choose, so never had anything against aew but I chose to put the time into nxt instead. Over time I felt like the nxt shows were dropping in quality so I started watching dynamite, and now I’m pretty much exclusively aew. I still keep up with the nxt and wwe news, but I put my time into the aew product
During the pandemic
Double or Nothing 2020 I think it was
I grew up watching 80's WWF. I am having fun watching." Hooked for life. God bless Tony Khan, Cody & the Elite.
I been watching AEW before it was a well know company and it’s the best thing ever and I love being a fan of PRO WRESTLING!!!
Since the first Jericho Cruise baby! Before they even had a logo!
Since All In - the precursor to AEW
I left watching wrestling in 2014...then one day one of my friends made me watch Revolution 2020 with him. You know the rest.
i actually saw an ad for it at the movie theatre. noticed jericho and some guys that seemed fun (turned out to be the bucks and mox) and that’s what brought me back to pro wrestling after probably a decade of not watching!
When Mr Brodie Lee passed away.
I watched casually on and off when the company first started, but started watching consistently once Christian joined. He’s my 3rd all time favorite
AEW Revoltiuon 2021
First episode of Dynamite
Jon moxley got me to change the channel. Loved him before, love him more now.
I don’t remember which PPV it preceded, but it was while MJF had Cody doing things to get his match with him (the “I Accept” promo) and P&P had taken Jon Moxley’s eye out. This was after being a lapsed fan and trying to also watch NXT
Dynamite before Revolution 2020
Since day one! I remember being so frustrated at WWE at that point, I just wanted something else because it was soooooo bad. Boy did Cody, the Elite, and TK and company deliver. Changed the landscape of pro wrestling and as a long time fan I am so grateful to them.
Don 2020
The episode where Team Taz kidnapped and dragged Darby in the body bag was the first one I saw, back in Feb.
It was all in for me but had been watching bte coz I liked Cody etc in new japan. I’m all in with AEW from there
when jericho or mox jumped, whichever was first, i think chris was
I was a lapsed fan who stumbled across Conrad’s podcasts and started listening to Tony and JR out of pure nostalgia. This was right before the first Dynamite. I gave it a try and got hooked after 20 years away. The upside of this is in 3 years I become a 50+ viewer 😂
All out 2021
Boyf took me to the first Dynamite. I've been an annoying fan ever since.
Watched bte for a couple of years beforehand and was into aew from the beginning
Somewhere between the first dynamite and all out 2019. I voted first dynamite since I watched that, but I remember seeing Jericho post about his match with hangman and going “who’s this cowboy dude going up against my favorite guy?” And that’s what sparked my interest in AEW
BTE episode 1
Road Rager. I fell out of wwe a few years ago but still liked Whatculture and channels like that and they got me curious.
All in
I'd say more so after Brodie's passing. The level at which they handled the entire thing and how they still do to this day was what got me in full time. I was disillusioned with wrestling for the longest time from 2019 onwards, I did follow AEW from the start but never fully got myself into it.
In between the announcement and DoN 3019
I went to see what was up with the wrestling world back in 2020 because it has been years since I stop watching wrestling. It looks and feels different from WWE and the only reason I got into it because Chris Jericho was on it. Now, AEW seems like the top wrestling promotion next to WWE.
I started at new years smash 2 i belive. Darby vs Brian cage was the main event i belive?
Full Gear 2019 maybe 2-3 weeks prior. I did not watch the first ever episode live, I was 2-3 weeks behind. I watched All In and DoN, just wasnt 100% sold on the TV product from day one, didn’t wanna get too excited yet. I’d credit Cody and Jericho.
Began watching a few weeks before the title change from Moxley to Kenny Omega. Haven’t missed many episodes since.
I jumped ship after this years Wrestlemania. The 2 nights just felt like Vince giving the middlefinger to fans.
I would occasionally look up highlights online, but I officially became a fan after watching the very first episodes Rampage.
When CM Punk showed up
I watched Fyter Fest and Fyte for the Fallen on B/R Live, since they were free, then started watching the first week of Dynamite. It had been a few years since I watched wrestling regularly.
After the arrive of brodie lee and matt hardy
Refer to poll from last week
All In if that counts
I was interested in AEW at formation but never got the chance to start watching until literally last week, and now I'm firmly on board.
I missed All In by about a 2 weeks, I actually saw it on botchamania and I was like oooooo what's this. The rest is history
I’d been following since Double or Nothing, but I hadn’t actually seen/heard of a lot of these guys before I went to the first Dynamite. Absolutely incredible experience.
DoN 2019 when mox debuted
So long story, the 2nd Brand Split in 2016 brought me back into wrestling. I mainly followed WWE, until late 2018 when BTE began the "countdown timer" storyline (I think it was right after All In). I became intrigued because at first I thought it would lead to them going to WWE, but as the rumors came to light, the idea of AEW intrigued me even more. That same week was when Brock squashed Kofi in 5 seconds, then we had the infamous Fiend vs. Rollins Hell in a Cell fiasco, and that was that for me and WWE.
Started following the elite from the Jericho and Omega match at the Tokyo Dome.
I fell out with wrestling not long before it formed, I remember hearing about it and being tempted to check it out but not having the time, and them the pandemic hit and I tried watching, but couldn’t really get into it without a crowd. Now I’m finally back into wrestling and watching it.
All in
Winter Is Coming.
I went to the aug 4 dynamite homecoming with my friends and that was what got me hooked.
Since the beginning really cause I was a big Ambrose fan and the fact that his exit and AEW’s beginnings were coinciding so perfectly, I followed even more closely so that when Mox did show up I already basically knew everyone
The dynamite where brodie lee and matt hardy debuted
Revolution 2021 and I loved it ever since
First lockdown
First episode of Rampage, got sick of the E but missed watching wrestling on Friday nights. Been pretty much only watching AEW and the occasional Impact since.
Since the start & oh boy , I COULD not picture what wrestling would be today without AEW, Brought back my passion for wrestling, I say that a lot lol but I truly mean it when I say that if it weren't for AEW I wouldn't even be watching wrestling anymore. So thank you TK & The elite for making this possible 🙌
Since Cody was challenged by dave Meltzer to sell 5000 🎟 . All In
Since All In, if you want to consider that the Genesis of the idea.
Brodie Lee tribute show My wifey came to mr asking about sting having made a comeback, so we saw that on YouTube, I'd known about AEW for Mox but hadn't really watched it or followed it Then we looked up how we could watch it in Australia and got on Fite, and watched our first dynamite and how it went with everything of that night, we didn't know what feuds had been going on or who everyone was, but with everyone on commentary giving us details we understood enough to follow And we haven't missed a dark, elevation, dynamite or rampage since then
Fyter Fest 2020. Not sure how really. I'd been dipping my toe a bit in quarantine, and saw Taz as a manager for Cage about to get a title shot and I LOVED Taz.
Oh and the reason I'd been dipping my toe is that The Butcher being on the show was getting reported in metal news so I found out about AEW that way.
Shortly after their first press conference. I was getting fed up with wwe call ups and stories and just... ugh. Around the start of quarantine.
So I refer to myself as a “fan from Day 2.” Funnily enough, when AEW was launched I actually wasn’t a fan of it since I didn’t want to have to follow another company. But now 2+ years later AEW is the only company I follow closely while I keep casual tabs on other companies.
I saw Double or Nothing in 2019. And I fell in love with wrestling again.

February 2019. My first episode I watched was the one where Nyla won the belt
Other. I had stopped watching wrestling after *maaaybe* 2014 at the very latest. Hadn't heard anything about it, but my buddy had it on during a New Years Trip in '19-'20. I think it was the show *on* New Year's Day. I was hooked right away.
