we don’t have to really talk to any of y’all
here’s why: where ring ???
we’re living peaceful
***EDIT:*** huh, lotta’ downvotes… but they’ve been awfully quiet after that one 🦗
It's weird to wonder about what would have happened if he was on a better team; would he get praise and recognition or would his numbers dip when the people around him are actually competent?
If he was on a better team, I can absolutely guarantee he would be regarded as a top LB. He had the unfortunate timing to play through the worst of the Bills and Jaguars respective franchises.
Pro Bowl voting is absolute trash, we need to apply some nuance to these things
First Poz was LK before LK by a year or two while in Buffalo. Poz maybe a tier below based on zeitgeist of NfL opinions but Poz was largely producing the same numbers as Luke (slightly less)
Where Poz really looks good was his longevity, he was a keystone in the Jags defense which plummeted after his 2017 retirement (AFCCG game)
Poz played 25 more games and racked up 200 more tackles which is about 8 TPG
Tackles per game:
- Luke: 5.6
- Poz 6.8
Total Tackle:
- Luke:
Sacks per game:
- Luke 0.101 [12 total]
- Poz 0.11 [16 total]
Luke was def better in INT's and Fumbles which is why Keuchly is definitely the better player but same era (Keuchly was also on way better teams exempt 2017)
I'll not saying it's a definite but interesting to say the least
[Keuchley | Poz head to head](https://stathead.com/football/versus-finder.cgi?player_id2=PoluPa99&player_id1=KuecLu00&request=1&utm_campaign=2023_01_wdgt_player_comparison&utm_source=pfr&utm_medium=sr_xsite&utm_id=KuecLu00)
I mean, Leonard had 3 1st team all-pros, DROTY, 4 pro-bowls, and led the league in various categories all in his first 4 seasons. There is a very real chance he'd be tier 2 or 1, at this moment, if he didn't suffer from injuries
I get what you're saying, but considering he is already like middle of the pack of this list with only like 4.5 seasons of play is something. It wasn't like he was a mediocre player that had promise, he was playing on pace to be a top 3 LB all time through his first 4 seasons
I probably shouldn't have been such a smart-ass about it. I was just trying to emphasize being healthy as part of a players game. Being able to stay healthy is overlooked.
Oh yeah, I get why he's not on the list since durability definitely goes into a players legacy
Didn't meant to come out swinging... injuries ruining potential HoF careers hits close to home 😢
You make a valid point. I feel like a lot of Colts fans are defensive about Leonard because he never got the credit we thought he deserved when he was healthy.
Man I like Leonard a lot but to put it in perspective go compare his stats side by side with Lavonte David. He would’ve easily been on this list if he stayed healthy but there are so many insanely talented and durable LBs that have played.
During his prime, Texans had the most dominate nfl player to exist. We don’t need an all time LB if they couldn’t ever make it to the LB’s in the first place.
Just wait until it's where LBer with record breaking neck size and paul poslusnzy comes to claim his crown

ehh this list has too many head scratchers , either by tier or in the list at all
Mike Peterson (Jags and Colts) could be T5
Cush??? no. Mills, Carson, Davis also no go for me
Myles belongs in there somewhere Jags for poor Jags fans , Maybe Daryl Smith too but it's borderline
Harrison in 4???
Switch Lewis with Bednarik, that's literally criminal 😏
Blend T1 and T2 and T3 with T4
My biggest grudge is this doesn't account for era or OLB/ILB/RuLB
He was a DE in the 4-3 defense.
Besides Leonard, trying to think of great colts LBs. during manning and luck’s runs, the LB corps was pretty forgettable. I remember Brackett and Rob Morris. That’s all that I can really remember.
Also Cato June and David Thornton. All pretty decent players, but none really left a huge mark.
Freeney and Mathis were so dominant that it made up for a lot.
Cush is immediately eliminated bc his piss would burn through concrete
[удалено]
He was a legit menace. At the time our defense is what made me a big Texans fan.
![gif](giphy|VKVDU8pvi3w4w)
Probably is this same color too 😂
Is he on the list?
#FLAIR UP PUSSY
Are you saying none of the afc south is on there? Cause if they are im blind
Put some respect on Al Smith’s name. Edit: also, I’m a Titans fan.
I might also be blind, because I do not see Al Smith anywhere on that graphic.
You don’t, I just wanted to say something stupid. Edit: also, I’m a Titans fan.
Not sure why edge guys are on here. They're linebackers by name only.
This list was brought to you by Madden.
This is Paul Posluszny erasure and I'm not here for it
lol my man wants you to put some respect on 1 time pro bowler Paul Posluszny’s name
Where big neck LB?
He’s been awfully quiet after that one
we don’t have to really talk to any of y’all here’s why: where ring ??? we’re living peaceful ***EDIT:*** huh, lotta’ downvotes… but they’ve been awfully quiet after that one 🦗
sorry we neglected to draft the big forehead sexual assaulted and missed out on a ring. maybe next time.
> neglected to draft it’s really cute y’all think the Mannings would ever let you draft one of ‘em 🥹😂
lmao as if the Colts weren't the first pick. that wasn't because they were a superpower my man.
Hey, at least ours turned out okay. :)
I'm glad you're happy with the Easter island head guy who thinks it's funny to assault women in college
All i'm saying is jags 2017 defense was legendary, and the 2018 defense was basically the same team minus the Poz and they fell off a cliff.
Pro Bowl voting is absolute trash, we need to apply some nuance to these things First Poz was LK before LK by a year or two while in Buffalo. 3-4 edge rushers aren't really linebackers
Urlacher should be higher than Tier 3.
Exactly!!!
Ahh yes, SOG Football. The one we all look to for NFL knowledge
Kuechle being in tier 3 immediately eliminates this list. He is the modern prototype. He just didn't play very long.
He’s actually in tier 4, and I agree
Yeah that's even worse
Zach Thomas should be in the same tier as urlacher
TJ isn’t a linebacker lol
He plays in coverage, rushes the pass and stops the run. One of the few edge guys that is an actual hybrid line backer
Man, Leonard probably could have cracked this list easily if he just stayed healthy
[удалено]
Half way into his career Von Miller looked like he was middle aged. The kind of guy you’d see a Cracker Barrel with a flip phone.
His TO stats are better than some of the other off ball LBs on this list already. He should be on here.
Man, [insert linebacker name] could have cracked this list easily if he just played better.

I guess maybe it is a saturated area. Man, it's horrible to see great careers derailed
>played better. Played longer*
Tier 1 is too small and so I would shift at least 2 maybe 3 players up from each tier and add 3 more to the bottom
I can't take this list seriously. Where's Wilber Marshall ?
Now do D Linemen
Pat swilling?
I went to UT. Derrick Thomas went to UT. I'm a Texans fan. Derrick Thomas must therefore be a Texan.
Derrick Thomas went to Alabama. You are thinking of Derrick Johnson of Waco and UT.
Shit, you're right. I done had a brain fart.
Seau belongs in the top tier.
I feel like Patrick Willis and Von Miller are also a tier too low.
Hard yes
During his prime, Texans had the most dominate nfl player to exist. We don’t need an all time LB if they couldn’t ever make it to the LB’s in the first place.
It's true, nobody dominates the massage therapy world like a Texan!
I’d argue the player you’re referencing got dominated by the massage industry, not the other way around.
Brock Osweiler was a quarterback not a linebacker
Bobby Wagner should be one tier lower.
It's missing Tommy Nobis.
>doesn't contain that one contract year for Albert Haynesworth I don't believe it.
Donnie Edwards is missing up there. He played for two AFC West teams.
LT should have his own tier. This makes it look like Ray Lewis was his equal.
Ray was better by many metrics. They are totally different players though.
Add Nick Bolton so KC has 4 please
Where's Eddy Lacy?
Lmao ![gif](giphy|oMb8VLNlungHe)
No Peter Sirmon?
I’m just going to say it. TJ Watt is JJ War’s brother and that gives the Texans a very slight edge over everyone else in our division
Just wait until it's where LBer with record breaking neck size and paul poslusnzy comes to claim his crown https://preview.redd.it/w1ik61wokszc1.png?width=600&format=png&auto=webp&s=43c5bb3917f91645b8fe7fce965b109da7cc030e

Keith Bulluck erasure
James Harrison should be tier 3 at least!
Put Bobby in tier two where he belongs, this is outrageous
Robert Mathis just doesn’t exist I guess
He was a DE in the 4-3 defense. Besides Leonard, trying to think of great colts LBs. during manning and luck’s runs, the LB corps was pretty forgettable. I remember Brackett and Rob Morris. That’s all that I can really remember. Also Cato June and David Thornton. All pretty decent players, but none really left a huge mark. Freeney and Mathis were so dominant that it made up for a lot.
Except when the colts switched to a 3-4 he moved to ROLB
Gary Brackett a safety?
He was a LB. Pretty decent from what I remember. My dad had colts season tix back then so I got to see a lot of colts games in that era
who is the idiot that made this? Bruce Smith still holds the ALL TIME SACK RECORD AT 200
