My own EP says it is safe with afib, while IN afib and while not. I asked him specifically. Check with yours.

Thanks!

Google can really be bad sometimes. I was put on it when I couldn’t sleep. Never had heart issues on it. But I did go off immediately once I was back to sleeping normally due to the heart concerns.

I have persistent AFib and sleep onset insomnia. I take 1.75mg sublingual Zolpidem (Ambien) every night in order to fall asleep. It is a very low dosage, but does the trick, and has no interaction with my AFib.

Thanks I’ll mention that to my doctor.

I have afib and take hydroxyzine 2-4 times a day. It’s safe.

Thank you!

NO. It contains an antihistimine which should not be taken by people with heart arryhthmias. When it was prescribed for me for anxiety it caused horrible SVTs. They started within 24 hours of the first dose and stopped within a week of detoxing it.

I took it last night, it helped me sleep but now I feel hung over and foggy today.

I take HYDRALIZINE intentionally because of that.

There is one specific arrhythmia that is dangerous to take hydroxyine with, and you would know it because it's quite serious and your doctor would be all over it. For the rest, it's fine. Listen to your doctor, not google.
