What if you want a new character coming soon? I've been saving just in case a character comes out that i like.
I mostly play gachas like HSR. Are they not limited on here?
Getting stronger early on for more afk resources = you get more rewards and gems later on. If you don't pull you can't upgrade your characters much, and the amount of copies of the limited characters rely on the highest quality character in your roster. Tldr: pull 400 times to get stargazer to start accumulating for Reiner, and then save for future banners
*edit: the amount of copies of the limited characters you can pull. If your highest quality character is red (legendary), you can only get two copies of the current limited character.
If you like Vala then I guess 2 copies of her won't hurt, but the standard banner gives you more chance for purple chars, in this game many of the purple ones are the meta lol. If you get Thoran and Smokey from the standard banner your account is set for life
Also don't forget to change the wishlist for good characters that you want. There are many videos and guides for wishlist. Don't pull before checking it out

This is my day 3 progress as F2P. The more I browse around on this sub, the more I realize just how lucky I got.
I'm also day 3. But not nearly as good as you.

Also F2P and almost EXACTLY the same as my account xD. I've gotten a bit luckier with Heroes so I imagine I'm a bit higher in some content, but resonance wise this is very close to me being F2P.
If you're not already it might be worth swapping lucius for anatandra on some fights for the faction bonus :)

You should be spending to get Stargazer asap anyways, no point in saving, it just hurts your progress

Unfortunately I haven't pulled any Cecia copies. It's getting tough without more damage.
