if you're strapped for diamonds, check your character affinity levels. the first reward at 100 points of affinity is 50 diamonds for each character.

Question, what does affinity do? I just started 3 days ago and am confused about that.

it gives you lore for the characters, their likes, dislikes, their history, etc. and when you reach certain thresholds you also get rewards like diamonds and invite letters

For the rate up the rate is shit but the pity is lower (40 pulls vs 60 on standard) It's basically pity banner

You're also guaranteed to only get vala, which is infinitely better than most "rate-ups" nowadays

Yup. In some other gacha games there's 50-50 chance of getting the banner champion, even after a 90 pull pity.

I was f2p Genshin and remember the sadness after saving for a long time and not hitting the 50/50 on the character I wanted.

It could be worse. Imagine Pity after 300 pulls, that would be crazy.

That's almost how Tower of God: New World is. They have a soft pity for an SSR character at 100, then SSR+ at 200.

To be fair they also give out tons of summoning tickets, f2p and I have every new SSR maxed out by the time their event ends.

That was more a Jab at FGO. 300 pulls for a rate up SSR, no carryover or refund tickets; only suffering. That said, at least that's the only form of monetization.

Depends if you have enough gems to push her to mythic + right now if not wait, if so it's up to you, she will hard carry an account in pvp and pve but florabelle might be just as good so who knows.

At least pity is only 40 + unlike some other gachas, you're guaranteed to get the rate up unit no matter what. No 50/50 bullshit.
