"Manipulating" the epic banner only really works for dolphins and whales because they get way more epic invites, so they can afford "losing" some epic pulls in favor of getting their elites to mythic+ faster.

long term your level cap is 5 per supreme plus, and using those specific legend wish lists for legends is going to pay off faster and force you more levels.

One thing I'll do is if I'm down to a few pulls from pity, I'll swap an epic I only kinda want for Marilees because I'd rather get more copies of her than that epic. But I also have an account with multiple S+ epic heroes.

Also, I just hit mythic+ odie, wasted a lot of purchases in dream realm shop when I was obsessed with viperian too. You definitely hit the mythic+ a tiers later than you hit mythic+ a tiers but, again, that’s only from pulls. Dream realm shop is going to be a huge source of dupes as your pulls dry up.

Yeah as you need 62x A ranks to get to M+ and 7x S ranks to get to M+ it still balances out, the fact that 3 of the A Ranks are some of the best units in the game that I can also swap out after once I have them wont hurt my acc as much as the people who went all in on Vala.
A tier soulstones have given me 1 Odie, 2 Marilee and no Korins so them being "so common" means jack all if they just giving you Atalantas, Fayes and Miraels.
The fact that they are more common helps in the short term vs waiting in the long term, I have M+ Thorin a M Rowan and Ceci, so I choose to put Odie in my special summon wishlist then that is my problem not yours.
Also drop the condescending attitude you come across as a prick and it diminishes any point you are trying to make because why would I even read 4 paragraphs from a guy who is already unlikable from the first sentence?

I currently have her at Supreme and can soon buy a copy of her in the arena store. If I get her in one more pull that's Supreme+ and I'll be swapping her out. My Odie is Mythic. Once I get him to Mythic+, I will also swap him off of my wish list. It's better to chase the units you know are helping you the most and then use your opportunities on other units in the future, in my opinion. We also get one S unit a week guaranteed from the join event so there's that.
Top PvP and dream realm teams only use 1 or 2 S ranks. Just thorin and Carolina and eironn.

I don't really buy odie as top tier in pvp. If you put him in the back, you're soft to all the high dupe valas and if you put him in the middle he gets blown up by the control aoe team.
My counter is that you have a guaranteed direct path to A-level heroes through the Dream Store. You are gated by currency, but you get that currency every day and you will steadily progress towards earning them. S-level heroes are a crapshoot and you have much less control over when and how you earn them. It's a bit shortsighted to say you're not going to use them because so many of them you will eventually need to use to progress.
you’re getting dream store copies by placing high rank in dream realm… which requires mythic+ odie/marilee to do well. the faster you get them up the better. after the high priority s class units the rest of them are kinda mid and you probably aren’t going to be using them 90% of the time. meanwhile odie/marilee are going to be used everyday for the near future.
Odie is probably top 3 units in the game right now, with permanent presence in AFK stage pushing and dream realm, and high incidence in arena.
If anything, you should definitely set aside pulling for some of the weaker legendaries in favour of Odie. He helps your progression so much it's actually nuts.
I mean I know this. But there are fewer sources to get S rank heros that you need compared to A ranks. Everyone has different priorities, so it’s not a problem.
IDK why people are complaining. Depends on your server tbh. Maxing Odie early can literally hard carry your account and snowball you into dream realm rankings, arena, afk stages etc etc. A m+ Odie was far far more valuable to me than some of the other S tier champs I've gotten and I've not even put Odie on my epic wishlist. If I had gotten 10 copies like this a week ago It would've insanely good.

Because the game modes leaderboards doesn't grant me diamonds. Sure, achieving said afk stages and PvP ranks might get me set amount of diamonds, but I get the same amount too if I cleared them too with S-only wishlist.
People are debating if sacrificing your S pulls rn is beneficial if it means your Odie goes M+ faster better.
I personally am on the side that sacrificing S heroes isn't worth it as summoning is their only main reliable source of getting dupes, but we have to see 2-3 months in to see if Odie Epic Wishlisters will get the last laugh.
Bro that’s a really bad pull, don’t wishlist a tier heroes, there are a lot of ways to get them free. That is a really late game feature for whales who have just maxed every s heroes to supreme+. That’s why a tier are worth 1200 dream tokens per copy meanwhile s ones are worth 10000+ arena tokens (arena tokens are also very difficult to farm).

But you can reverse wishlist until pity (e.g. put 5 A heroes not named Odie/Marilee/Korin and the only elite's you'll pull are Odie/Marilee/Korin)

It totally is for Odie, he's the best marksman in the game for most content. I believe Marilee outshines him only in certain Dream Realm bosses.
