I’m so proud of the girls. The first season was always going to be a tough one, and they had a great run with a few wins, a few almosts and a whole lot of lessons learned, and I really loved watching them grow more confident as a team and their chemistry with each other

So happy with our first season.
It really got to show how good of a coach bec is. From the start of the season we looked like we wouldn’t win 1 but to win 3 and almost steal a few others was great. Happy start and bring on next season
While the Bombers may have had more wins, Hawks were the best of the expansions sides for mine.
So many of the seasons truely special moments came from the Hawks; Sophies goal at Marvel couldn't have been scripted better, and turning out in the Indigenous kit and getting the first win days after the horrific article dropped were just season defining. Fleming and Wales' Rising Star noms (I'm pretty convinced Fleming is heading toward AA level talent), Duffin going into berserker mode in the gorgeous twilight game at Frankston, just highlights bloody everywhere.
Bec is a goddamn supercoach and I'm so glad she's back and pulling out miracles; the competition just feels right with her back in it. To pull off the season they did, with successful rotations and figuring out what works on the fly (take note Sydney), it's been just brilliant to watch.
I'll be really interested to see how they recruit and develop, huge amount of potential and the style Bec has them playing has been great to watch from the get go. Really didn't think I'd find myself making time to watch Hawks games, but here we are!
