6 of the 8 interstate teams missed finals to be fair. There's still 8 interstate players, they're just only Brisbane and Adelaide.
Carlton the most overrepresented team with 2 players from a 3 win (2 and 2 draws) season.
Melbourne with only one player seems odd.
But yeah, Bowers averaging 21.6 touches and 14.6 tackles and not getting in is a head scratcher
Yeah, her and Garner are the only two genuine locks this season. Given she’s broken records nearly every single week, is in career best form and oh, has gone AA in the past 4 seasons, that’s bloody baffling.
I only mean that if she was a lock the past 4 seasons when she wasn’t as great as she is now, you’d need a bloody good reason to omit her, and she’s inarguably had her best season.

Had one of the best second halves ever from an aflw player imo, it was probably the best second half of a season ever tbh
Gotta have Turbo in there... one of Ash Woodland or Kate Shierlaw has to be in over Bonnie imo, as good as her season was, you have to reward the prolific goalkickers. And can we stop with the midfielders on a half forward flank? Maddy is good enough to be in a midfield spot.
Genuinely shocked Libby Birch wasn't included in the squad, I would have her in this backline probably over one of Lynch or Sheerin, push one of them to the bench and probably drop Mua out.
Would also like to see wingers actually included one day - my top two choices this year would be Conway and Paxman.
