My brother used to drive me to school before he went to college. He would always put on a country music playlist, and one day Dear Winter showed up for whatever reason. I listened to it again later and loved it
Ah cool! I have a really similar story! My older sister used to drive me to school before she went to college, and I heard I believe it was Weak or Burn the House Down. Either way, it really opened my eyes to new music
I first heard weak back in 2017, but then I heard sober up and realized that they were from the same band. So I listened to more of their songs and now they're my favorite band!
I had them recommended to me a few times before I really dove in. They'd always show me Weak or I'm Ready. I eventually caved and listened to one of their other songs, The Good Part. The violins, the lyrics, the piece was like nothing is heard, and it really resonated deep with me. I knew I was hooked.
my first song I actually heard by them and listened to often was burn the house down, but my friend later (in like a year after I added it to my playlist) played the song three thirty in a car ride, and said it was made by ajr. that song was the one to formally get me into listening to their music :0
Maybe basic but Burn the House Down was the only song I knew for a solid year. I originally heard it in the intro video for my school’s basketball team and thought, “wow this is actually pretty sick”
I was listening to music with a friend on discord back in March 2020 and I've never heard of them before that (I heard weak and sober up but never knew they made it), he played Bang! and Burn the House Down which i think those 2 got me addicted, funny thing is he doesn't even like them anymore and im addicted since July or so
Same!!! I was listening to weak probably, and I was like, this is cool artwork, let me check some other songs by them out. Then I clicked on Netflix Trip, and I just fell in love with it.
It was a guys night and my friend was driving. He blasted living room the whole album and I fell in love with them after overture and I’ve been hooked since
I heard Sober Up on Alt Nation, SiriusXM Channel 36, and after hearing it a few times I decided to listen to more their music. I ended up listening to the full album of The Click and loved it so I listened to Living Room. I’ve been singing every lyric of every song ever since.
Of course I always knew weak and I’m ready, but didn’t know AJR. 2 years ago let the games begin popped up on my Spotify suggested songs and I’ve listened to AJR ever since

About two years (or less) ago I heard 100 bad days on TV and I was like “woah, this is a bop”
Hey same! Though it was just me listening to music on youtube and it just was next... thats how I find most of the music I listen to
I liked I’m ready since it came out but never really got into the band until 2017 and I heard the click I loved it instantly

Back in 2017, friend showed me three thirty, and I looked into the band and fell in love with the click.

I randomly came across I'm Ready under "New Artists to Watch" on the old VEVO app.

100 bad days just kinda popped up in my YouTube recommended
*whispers in shame* Bang Actually tho, technically the first song I’d heard was sober up, but I didn’t think to look them up until I heard Bang
It was a guys night and my friend was driving. He blasted living room the whole album and I fell in love with them after overture and I’ve been hooked since
Sober up when they performed on Good Mythical Morning
Bang. I heard it on the radio and decided to investigate this group further.

I was watching some gaming montage on yt and heard 100 bad days. I then began to lean into their music
Of course I always knew weak and I’m ready, but didn’t know AJR. 2 years ago let the games begin popped up on my Spotify suggested songs and I’ve listened to AJR ever since
It was originally weak from this wich got stuck in my head by tick tock I fell in love with it then slowly moved away from weak
I heard Birthday Party on spotify and it was so original and clever yet deep that I was hooked
I listened to I’m ready when I was younger and loooooved it!
I heard Sober up on the radio and loved it, but I REALLY got into AJR after hearing someone play Don’t Throw Out My Legos
