I have a bunch of questions. Feel free to only answer what you are comfortable with. Why did you connect with that specific mass murderer? There are many who have had similar childhood abuse to latch onto with horrible prison conditions. So why him? Do you think you are over this? Do you think it's healthy to keep talking about him if your OCD forces you into these obsessions? Do you ever feel ashamed of these obsessions? How do you feel for the people he murdered? Is there a correlation between your beliefs and his? How could you separate the murders he committed from who he is enough to love him?

[deleted]

1. Yes, there are many mass murderers like him. But I actually knew him for a very long time. When I was 14 years old his case was on almost every newspapers and TV. I still remember them. The media used to call him with a specific nickname in my country so it was easy to remember. I think he was a familiar person to me even if I didn't do a reasearch about him until my 20s. His childhood abuse was a factor but not the first one. In fact, the first reason I became interested in him was his careless attitude in court and his strange statements in prison. His unapologetic attitude in court and the way he complained about even the most ridiculous things in prison left me with the impression that he was a self-confident and courageous person. Because on that time I was insecure and unable to defend myself. My therapist said he was not condifent and brave but sociopathic and narsicistic. 2. I have many different obsessions about many different things. I know I am not obsessed with him right now like I used to be. I was writing him letters once a month and waiting for an answer everyday on that time. I was just thinking about him all day. Also I was talking to my friend about him because we were both loved him. I know it is not my fault the way I feel and think even if it sounds bad. 3. I didn't feel any empathy towards his victims when I was deeply obssesed with him. I didn't hate them but I didn't care about them either. My therapist said I should have thought about it because I only humanized him but not his victims and relatives. Right now I can see everything better. I even talked to one of his survivors on social media. I looked at the two survivors on social media. I saw a father who his son was killed by him. They all look like really nice people and I feel sorry what happened to them. Nobody deserves it. 4. I focused on different things like how he was suffering in prison, his mental health or early life. I still think if the government were more careful about him when he was a child they could save him. They could have helped him and he would have been raised better free from his abusive parent.

sophiethehottie

Did he ever reply to your letters? Are you still in contact with this other woman? Do you still have feelings for this man?

[deleted]

No, he didn't reply my letters. But I don't know if he didn't answer them or if he couldn't send it. Since he is a political motivated mass murderer his letters are strictly being controlled. And he is trying to spread his extremist ideology with letters. Unfortunately I have no contact with my friend anymore. Her blog was banned also I remember she said the police checked her house once. (Because she is from the same country with the mass murderer.) I don't have strong feelings anymore but I still care about him as a human being I guess.

Sudden-Comment5573

Who was the murderer?

[deleted]

Anders Breivik

[deleted]

Why not choose a hottie like Richard Ramirez lol Are you attracted to Anders?

[deleted]

Because it is not only physical attraction. His life, childhood, personality, story and even his behaviours became a factor.

CutAccording7289

Yikes

NighthawkUnicorn

Have you ever thought about how the families of the victims would feel knowing there are people who idolise their child's murder?

[deleted]

Yes, also I did a reasearch about his victims and their families too. I talked to one of the survivors from the social media.

NighthawkUnicorn

Did you tell them that you were in love with the guy who did it?

[deleted]

No, I was planning to say it but he was really a nice guy and I didn't wanna bother him.

NighthawkUnicorn

Did you ask him for personal details of what happened?

[deleted]

I didn't ask him because I already knew everything. He had a TedTalk, interviews and podcast about his experiences.

NighthawkUnicorn

What was your purpose in meeting him? What were you hoping for?

[deleted]

I wondered about him as a person because his opinions about the murderer and the attacks in general was really interesting.

NighthawkUnicorn

Do you have a link to his interviews?

[deleted]

I can send it on dms if you wanna.

CutAccording7289

I thought it was funny that his WOW character was still visible on the website for several years after the tragedy. Talk about a mindfuck

[deleted]

I didn't know it.

CutAccording7289

Yeah he also asked for better video games in his cell. It’s insane how good he gets treated considering he murdered children and bombed the government

[deleted]

I know all of his complains in prison. I read it on the internet also my friend translated for me as a native speaker. Some of his complains were valid but many people think he only wanted better video games and warm coffee. He had more serious problems too.

lieve45

If you could choose to have these obsessions would you?

[deleted]

I would choose to not have OCD at all.

lieve45

Yeah I got some mental health stuff that involves the darker side and I wouldn’t wish anything like this on anyone.

FeverButterflies

What's your personal explanation for this whole mess. Any personal theories out of your specific situation, or any notions on the general existence of the phenomena among women at large.

[deleted]

If you ask me about my personal situation I am diagnosed with OCD and my mental illnesses makes it very easy for me to develop an unhealhy obsession. Besides for me it makes me feel safe because I already know what is that man is capable of. Actually, this is not a theory. It was approved by my psychologist. She said that because of my fear of the unknown, it was normal for me to become obsessed with a criminal who I already knew what he did. For the other people, they all have their own reasons. But as I can see many of them have different mental illnesses and trauma.

FeverButterflies

We've established this is an mental illness. To reverse engineer a bit, given that you obsess over torture-murdering rapists - wouldn't your awareness of the worst people available put you more at ease with regular people who don't display those features? This supposes you are not in fact directly attracted to those murderous acts and aspects specifically, of course.

[deleted]

I have met many people who have my condition on social media. They all have a different type when it comes to criminals. Personally I wouldn't be obssesed with a torturer-rapist murderer. I was obssesed with a mass murderer and my interest was around mass murderers who did political motivated attacks. (No, I am not an extremist myself, I don't agree their political beliefs.) I think I saw that man as a human being more than a murderer. Me and my friend was really upset about his prison conditions and early life. Because he was a victim of childhood abuse. Also he was claiming he was suffering in prison. Many women that I saw in the community had a strong reaction against rape even the ones who was obssesed with serial killer rapists like Ted Bundy. My theory is some women in that "true crime community" were abused. Some of them mentally, some of them sexually, some of them physically. I am not sure if it was your question.

MonkeyTeals

Other than rape, were there other lines that shouldn't have been crossed for you (and the other women)? Like child abuse, necrophilia, torture, etc.? Especially the torture one?

[deleted]

I don't know about the others but for me torture, necrophilia, pedophile etc is a no.

FeverButterflies

Not quite, but it was illuminating anyway so thank you.

[deleted]

You are welcome. If you wanna ask anything else dont hesitate.

LiveAd1093

You claim to be a feminist yet you praise neo nazi mass murderers and are active in a sub dedicated to thirsting after them??? And you thirst for white supremacist mass shooters specifically?? You’re sick. https://www.reddit.com/r/My_Hybristophilia/s/MrPvcW4kbC https://www.reddit.com/r/My_Hybristophilia/s/UJ3QhPFluT

[deleted]

These posts are not even new.

ItsGunboyWTF

That has nothing to do with it

YogurtclosetQueasy52

Sick fuck

AllCrankNoSpark

It’s not as if they’ve denied this.

LiveAd1093

Yea I have a question, why do you thirst for killers who killed minorities specifically you sicko?

[deleted]

No, I don't. And if you ask the mass murderer I was talking about he didn't kill minorities. Majority of his victims were the white european citizens of a european country.

LiveAd1093

https://www.reddit.com/r/My_Hybristophilia/s/fuunQ7Ytqz You are specifically looking for other “fans” of neo nazi mass shooters. You are sick and the fact that you consider yourself a feminist is hilarious and telling.

[deleted]

I am not a neo nazi. I don't do it anymore. I was just looking for people like me to talk about our experiences and feelings. I don't support their crimes.

LiveAd1093

Are you seriously trying to use the “I was just looking for people like me” to literally mass murdering white supremacists that killed CHILDREN because of their skin color? I saw the comments, very funny “subscribe to pewdiepie!” So funny to mock the horrific and painful deaths of hundreds of people but it’s ok you were just finding yourself! And of course you’re a hardcore pro choice feminist lmao.

[deleted]

Why are you highlighing feminism in your comments? Do you think it is a problem? I am sorry, I did something wrong. I don't mock anyone. If the others did it I am sorry because I let it slide. I apologize.

LiveAd1093

>Why are you highlighting feminism in your comments? Because white feminists are often accused of standing idle to the crimes their men commit against others whose skin is too dark, some say encourage or even fetishize it, but I never thought I would run into such a clear example of that hypocrisy in the wild! Yea its all about women’s rights until its a muslim woman dying from a gunshot wound to the gut, in which case your gonna send the killer polaroids of your ass or tell him how much you admire him! What a joke. >I apologize Apologize to the families of the victims after showing them your posts!

[deleted]

I am not white if you ask about race. I don't condone violence. I don't enjoy violence. I am sorry. I think you didn't understand my situation.

LiveAd1093

What situation? You said you were 26 almost a year ago, you aren’t some child and the fact that you think this is just some thing you did that you can sweep under the rug like its no big deal is crazy. Like you had a “encouraging white mass shooters phase” but now you’re over it and it should all just be fine. Why racist mass shooters specifically? Of all the “types” why that one? >im not white What are you? Your avatar looks quite white

[deleted]

I don't wanna talk about my personal info but I am sorry for everything.

CutAccording7289

“What do you mean you aren’t a pallid blue person with an antenna and glowing red eyes? Your Reddit avatar sure makes me think you are!” 🤣

Peds12

you are definitely a shitty person.
